Is Magic Kingdom Currently Closed?

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has experienced a widescale outage, with ten attractions closed this morning. Most of the closed rides are on the western side of the park, including Big Thunder Mountain. The remaining rides are on the park’s west side, in Liberty Square, Adventureland, and Frontierland. The Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. serves as the exit for Magic Kingdom, which has varying closing times throughout the year.

The Magic Kingdom attraction is now permanently closed to make way for a new Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge. Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square are closed due to technical difficulties. Land closures have been seen in the past due to power outages, but from now on, it seems that the closure will be much longer.

Before visiting Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to review important information about inclement weather, including thunderstorms, hurricanes, and tropical storms. At the moment, Disney World is under both a Tornado Watch and Tropical Storm Warning. As of right now, no closures have been announced.

The Haunted Mansion attraction at Magic Kingdom park is closed today, and there is no line at all right now.
