Is That A Genuine Pokemon, Magic Muffler?

The Magic Muffler is a legendary item found on cheat websites that makes your Pokemon gain experience faster. To obtain it, you need to trade a Dragonite holding a Salac Berry with a Pikablu. Magikarp is the only Pokémon found in every Pokémon Snap course except Rainbow Cloud, which features only Mew.

To get a Magic Muffler, you can get a sav file from any other person with the magic muffler in it or play really. It’s like an Andy Warhol portrait of a soup can morphing into an atomic missile. To obtain the Magic Muffler, you must defeat every trainer in Kanto, release all your Pokemon except the weakest, and challenge Elite.

In this article, I will recount my journey of proving the haters wrong and obtaining the elusive Magic Muffler in the world of Pokemon. Hocus (Japanese: マジック Magic) is a talented magician and a member of the Societea in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. He uses a giant Crobat when faced in the…

  • An easier (but more costly) way to obtain the Salac Berry would be with the Colosseum US Bonus Disc, where you can receive a Jirachi with a 50% chance to hold the Salac Berry. You only get one per save file, though, and I think it only works in Ruby and Sapphire, so you would have to finish the FRLG postgame so that you could trade it over.

  • Considering how obscurely complicated it was to get the Regis, with so many random and specific series of events you had to do, it’s no wonder these troll posts were so popular. One of the most popular ones I remember is when you get the rocket to 100% in Mossdeep, you’ll go up in space and fight deoxys and jirachi. Another one I remember seeing was if you do a bunch of random stuff that wasted your time, the daycare old man would let you behind the fence and in the grass patches there were legendary Pokémon.

  • My favorite thing about weird, arbitrary Pokemon rumors is whenever they just feel too Particular to be fake. I remember as a little kid, my personal white whale was this one for Colosseum that was like ‘go to this one room in the Cipher base after you’ve done everything in the game and if you interact with this computer console, you get to read an email that tells you about a place called ‘Vacation Island’, if you go there you get some postgame battles and you can catch Moltres’. Like. Who thinks Moltres, specifically, of all Pokemon that existed up until Gen 3, was some mystical prize worth making shit up over? What is ‘Vacation Island’ supposed to be?? It’s so specific and stupid that it almost makes it more believable, because it’s not Deoxys or Mewthree or whatever, who would think ‘yeah, lying about Moltres is gonna make me the cool kid’.

  • I messed up as a kid and only got a glitched out item called the muffler. Data miners found that it was an early version of the magic muffler that acted as an infinite use rare candy. Unfortunately when I tried to use it, it crashed my game and caused it to softlock every time I reloaded my save file. I never had the courage to try this cheat again. For all of us idiot beginners out there, thank you Ant. You are the shining symbol of sucess to us all

  • those stories people came up with in the early internet days were a riot, lol i had the opposite situation, where i discovered an actual glitch and nobody believed me. i actually accidentally discovered missingno independently back in like 99 or sometime around then. i’m sure other people found it before me, but i didn’t really have access to the internet (dad did, but he almost never let me use it). i was 9 years old then and thought the little tutorial guy was cool, so i’d occasionally just go back and watch the sequence play out and then go back to whatever i was doing. i must have gotten lucky looking for water pokemon off cinnebar, or possibly i saw a wrong location spawn there (i wouldn’t have known it was wrong) and decided to look some more. i actually remember exactly where i was: i was at a breakfast joint when i first saw this thing and my parents told me to keep quiet because i started freaking out. i then spent the next… 2-3 years? mispronouncing it as “missiningo” because it was a long word and i didn’t bother to read it carefully. my brother and i spent a lot of time after that seeing what over-level-100 pokemon we could get to spawn by restarting after that, was a lot of fun.

  • You can actually transfer the magic muffler to a PS1 Memory Card. If you do, there is an arcade game in FF7 that unlocks in the Golden Saucer. All you have to do is beat the mini game on your first attempt and you’ll be rewarded the magic muffler as a prize. You can then use it on any character to automatically gain 25 levels. However, if you use it on Aerith, she won’t die after Sephiroth kills her. The cutscene plays as normal, but she’ll remain in your party.

  • I’m not gonna lie, I was perusal old smallant articles to relieve the crazy things he’s done. But this time after perusal the article, I decided to look at the comments. And I’ve never knew that this was an April fools joke this entire time. Honestly this is the best April fools joke I have ever seen and didn’t know about it for a whole year

  • This got me good, I saw the title and thumbnail when the article came out not even realizing what day it was. That caused me to keep the article in the back of my mind the past 2 weeks where I’ve been thinking about perusal it but never got to it. When I finally decided to watch what this “secret item” was today, I finally realized what this article was. Touché smallant, touché

  • Although it was clear that it was a joke right from the start this was certainly entertaining. So many bad Aprils Fools jokes out there. This was quite a good one. Props to you. I know I am commenting this over a week later but it doesn’t change this fact. Now try fighting Professor Oak in Pokemon red/blue/yellow. In case you haven’t done that yet.

  • I remember, I played Pokemon like much later than before, I saw my sister playing Leaf green in her emulator and I watched her play frequently as her journey with he game goes on. I finally got my own copy of the game when my sister got a Blastoise(Fire red actually, my parents thought they were different games lol). From then on most of the early game journeys was simple and easy because I watched her play these games alot. When I got my own emulator, I have the cable wire of it to trade and battle, my dream at the time was to beat my sister in the game because I found out how to use gba link connections when my sister told me how. For the next 3 weeks I spent in Leafgreen I was stuck with the rival battle against blue in Silph Co. mainly because I had a Venusaur and his Charizard was sweeping my entire team (my teams were trash back then lol). I took a time off from the game because of the rage built up for me, and when I came back I decided to get all my Pokemon to level 40 which finally swept his team. After that, another month passes and I’m finally at the Pokemon League, I kept losing mainly to Lance but I took the reason by Grinding in One island int he game and catching alot of Meowths cuz overtime, I heard my classmates where talking about how a level 21+ Meowth with a pickup ability hasa chance to pick rare candies for you during that fight. I specifically remembered I had spent over 85 hours getting all my team to level 60. My team at that point was a Raichu, Lapras, Fearow, Nidoking, Venusaur and a Dragonite whom I spent hours getting a Dragonair on the Safari zone when I found out you can get them in that place.

  • Back when I was about 8 years old me and my friend found one where if you beat the Elite 4 50 times in Emerald, the man in the Mosdeep City Space Station will mention 100% rocket success rates and finding a powerful Pokémon (Deoxys) which they need help capturing. The same man would then ask if you would go to the moon and capture it for them! What eight year old doesn’t want to go to the moon and capture a Deoxys?! For years we thought that was real but had both done something wrong after trying it 😭

  • My 3 brothers and I all played Pokémon yellow red and blue on our game boys back in 1999. I have no idea how we found out about the missingno glitch and the item dupe, but I remember doing it all the time back then. Maybe my older brother found out at school or used our fathers computer and internet. I would have been around 8 years old and my older brother 12.

  • There’s easier ways to get the magic muffler. If you simply complete the Pokédex in consecutive order, first all even numbered Pokémon starting at 2 then all odds starting at 1, obtain every item in the game and have them all being held by a Pokémon in the PC, talk to every female NPC twice, once in the day and once at night, feed a shiny skiploom 64 yatche berries then beat the elite 4 using any mons but only the move struggle… Then you’ve done the first of 3 separate days where you must repeat this. Then just breed a Revavroom with an Alakazam, for some reason you’ll hatch a flapple holding the magic muffler. Easy.

  • There are two lessons to be learned from this article. 1) Be a Suceeder, not an idiot beginner 2) Game Freak obviously decided that the Magic Muffler was too op, so they wanted to make it nearly impossible to find. Once they heard that someone found it easily, they decided to remove it from the game entirely

  • The only way this could have been a better april fool would have been to use a fish pokemon like a goldeen, for exemple. Most people, unfortunately, forget/ignore the fact that a REAL april fool need a fish. For exemple, when I was little, the news on tv made an april fool about some finding a shark in his swimming pool. Still, at least squirtle is a water type. It’s not fish, but neather is a shark. ^-^ (and before anyone says a gyarados is a fish, although, like squirtle it’s a water type and although magikarp is a fish gyarados is closer to those dragons in those asian festivities)
