How do you get to the Ministry of Magic?

The Ministry of Magic is first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, but its physical location is not revealed until the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The visitor’s entrance is an abandoned red telephone booth, and employees typically enter through a public lavatory with a special token. The Atrium is lined with fireplaces, suggesting multiple connections to the Floo network. However, no one travels to the Ministry with Floo powder, and it is unlikely that Cornelius Fudge or Pius Thicknesse would use a public lavatory to reach the Ministry directly.

The Ministry is visited on three occasions, but little of its workings is revealed. Harry is summoned to a hearing concerning his apparent breaking of the Statute for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery. He accompanies Mr. Weasley to his work, entering through the Visitor’s Entrance and passing through the Auror offices. After the hearing has moved, Mr. Weasley takes Harry to the courtrooms on the level below the Atrium.

  • 1. Great article, keep up the good work. 2. It’s gonna bug me to death if there are no reprocussions for using magic outside of school. They could explain it by saying that the rule wasn’t put in place yet or that the events in this game caused the rule to be put in place but I don’t really mind. Just any explanation is what I would went.
