Should I Unleash The Magic Hogwarts Legacy Or Keep It Sealed?

In Hogwarts Legacy, the choice to keep or contain the Final Repository depends on the desired ending and does not directly affect gameplay. The choice depends on whether the character wants to go down a morally just path or a more evil-leaning one. If the character has been playing on the moral side, they should choose to contain the repository and allow the story to wrap up cleanly. If they have been playing on the bad/dark side, they should open the repository to trigger the Evil Ending in Hogwarts Legacy, where their character will use the Ancient Magic Repository to fight against Ranrok.

Opening the repository of ancient magic could grant incredible magical abilities, but it may come at a steep cost. At the end of the game, a critical choice is made, where the character must choose between opening the repository or leaving it closed. If the character has been tending towards evil, they should choose to open the repository to complete their arc and embrace the dark side. However, if the character is more of a goodie two-shoes, they should opt to keep it contained.

Choosing to keep the ancient magic repository contained is the “good” thing to do for the story of Hogwarts Legacy. The “good” thing to do would be to keep the repository closed and contain its ancient magic. However, you have the option to do the “bad” thing and attempt to open it. If you want to continue the path of a goodie two-shoes, you can choose “I intend to keep it contained here”. This dialogue choice will dictate which ending you get.

  • Ngl I felt guilty I didn’t meet up to figs expectations. But I chose to keep the magic because story wise it makes sense. and the keeps the whole time felt so manipulative and Sebastian was right in a sense. Besides ” I could learn from isadoras mistakes and avoid them when learning to do real good with the ancient magic.

  • I chose the option to open it and didnt regret it really. That power can’t be there forever. It’s too dangerous cause everyone know where it is. It should be opened and the wizards/witches should learn from it. However apparently it didnt matter what choice you made cause nothing really happened afterwards…

  • So here’s the thing. I wanted to be good the first time around and then do all evil the second time but this choice makes no sense. Obviously the good guy choice is to keep it contained here but it’s already been discovered by the bad guys that it’s here so leaving it is just dumb. It should be moved atleast

  • I wish this game had more different outcomes. Like if he consumed the power for himself, the game would change after. Now, nothing changes, which does not make sense. In the cutscene, you can clearly see he inhales it. But that’s it. He is still the same afterwards. Then what did him inhaling it do? Nothing???

  • I played this game immediately after Witcher 3 and the dialogue choices and the impacts of those choices constantly disappointed me. The dialogue in this game is essentially meaningless. In the Witcher 3 it has real consequences. I hope someone releases a game with the attention to detail of the Witcher 3 again someday. Instead of just a cash crap with no depth
