The Tropical Zodiac is about 25° ahead of the Sidereal Zodiac, which uses the observable zodiac system to measure the four turning points of the sun’s movement: at the equatorial points for spring and fall, at the Tropic of Cancer for summer, and Tropic of. Sidereal astrology uses the observable zodiac, based on ties with astronomy, while the tropical zodiac is an abstract zodiac system.
The dates the Sun passes through the 12 astronomical constellations of the ecliptic are listed below, accurate to 2011. The dates will progress by an increment of one. True sidereal astrology uses the actual constellations in the sky, unlike the more popular Western astrological system.
Sidereal astrology is accurate because it tracks the positions of planets in the constellations, while tropical astrology is 23 degrees behind. Astrology is generally based on the position of planets in our sky relative to one another, known as geocentric. Heliocentric astrology is entirely sun-based, with signs set upon the ecliptic.
Both sidereal and tropical astrology represent different ways of mapping the zodiac against the backdrop of the stars from a geocentric perspective. The helio appears to be a chart of our inner or essential nature, rather than our outer personality, focusing on how we are inside.

What is the geocentric horoscope?
Geocentric astrology is a form of astrology that draws birth charts with the Earth at the center, placing planets around a cartwheel in the positions they would appear in the sky if viewed from Earth’s center. It relies heavily on the ascendant, midheaven, houses, the Sun, the Moon, planetary aspects, and placements of birth planets in houses and signs. Heliocentric astrology, on the other hand, does not have houses, the ascendant or midheaven, or lunar nodes or retrograde motion. Instead, it relies primarily on planetary aspects and configurations for interpretation.
While no astrologer uses heliocentric astrology to the exclusion of geocentric astrology, supporters of heliocentric astrology believe it can reveal much that geocentric astrology cannot. They recommend adding heliocentric astrology chart analysis as a supplement to geocentric astrology. Both forms of astrology are essential for understanding the planetary and planetary aspects of the universe.
What is tropical and placidus?
The gradual shift in the Earth’s axial precession has resulted in the gradual separation of the constellations and tropical zodiac signs. This phenomenon has led to the development of the Placidus House System, which is currently used for the interpretation of astrological charts.
Which astrology site is more accurate?
Astrodienst, also known as Astro. com, is a popular site for free natal chart readings. It offers horoscopes written by human astrologers and computer-generated into a holistic birth chart for each individual. The site offers 16 different types of horoscopes, including Psychological, Money and Success, Career and Vocation, and The Child’s Horoscope, with free previews of buyable content. The horoscopes are written by various astrologers who view the chart through different lenses. The Personal Portrait is the most complete horoscope, but the Psychological Horoscope by Liz Greene is highly recommended.
Cafe Astrology is another site that offers horoscopes and astrological information about zodiac signs and planets since 2022. It is an encyclopedia of beginner astrology with numerous types of reports, both free and paid, as well as “cookbook astrology” such as descriptions of each planet in each sign viewed through the lens of a natal chart, love, or how the latest retrograde planet will affect your sign. Both sites provide valuable insights into astrology and provide a comprehensive understanding of one’s natal chart.
What is the most intuitive astrology?
Pisces is a highly intuitive sign, known for their deep imagination and deep connection to their inner world. They often experience prophetic dreams or premonitions, sensing events before they unfold. Scorpio, another sign with strong intuition, is also known for its ability to perceive and understand things that may elude rational explanation. Pisces is known for their heightened sensitivity and capacity to intuitively grasp subtle nuances, making them a unique and valuable sign in the zodiac.
Which form of astrology is most accurate?
Nādi Astrology is a detailed and accurate method of predicting the future based on the combined results of all sixteen divisional charts. However, it requires precise birth time and knowledge of genuine Nādi texts, which are often unpublished and kept secret by custodians. This is similar to Samhitā texts in north India, such as Bhrigu Samhitā or Rāvana Samhitā. Atma, the’real’ self, is immortal and characterizes the real self. It changes only to the physical bodies during common stages such as birth, childhood, teenage, adulthood, old age, and death.
Atma enters a different body based on one’s Karma and takes form based on their good or bad deeds. In Karmic terms, a transition like this is like a person being promoted or demoted based on their sincerely, honest, and efficient work in an organization.
Is Leo tropical or sidereal?
In astrology, sidereal and tropical are two systems of ecliptic coordinates used to divide the ecliptic into twelve “signs” divided into 30 degrees. These systems also have different definitions of a year, applied in sidereal solar calendars or tropical solar calendars. Sidereal systems calculate twelve zodiac signs based on the observable sky, accounting for the apparent backwards movement of fixed stars of about 1 degree every 72 years due to Earth’s axial precession.
On the other hand, tropical systems consider 0 degrees of Aries as always coinciding with the March equinox (spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere) and define twelve zodiac signs from this starting point, basing their definitions upon the seasons.
These differences have caused the sidereal and tropical zodiac systems, which were aligned around 2, 000 years ago when the March equinox coincided with Aries in the observable sky, to drift apart over the centuries. Sidereal astrology accounts for the Earth’s axial precession and maintains the alignment between signs and constellations via corrective systems known as ayanamsas. Tropical astrology is based on the seasonal cycle of the Northern hemisphere and does not take axial precession into consideration. Some tropical astrologers modify the zodiac to reflect seasons in the Southern hemisphere, taking Libra as the sign that coincides with the spring equinox instead of Aries.
Why is the geocentric model not correct?
In 1610, Galileo Galilei observed Venus’ phases, proving that it orbits the Sun, not Earth, as predicted by Copernicus’s heliocentric model. This disproved the conventional geocentric model, which was the predominant description of the cosmos in many European ancient civilizations. The geocentric model, also known as geocentrism, was the predominant description of the cosmos in many European ancient civilizations, such as Aristotle in Classical Greece, Ptolemy in Roman Egypt, and during the Islamic Golden Age.
Two observations supported the idea that Earth was the center of the Universe: the Sun appears to revolve around Earth once per day, while the Moon and planets have their own motions. The stars appear to be fixed on a celestial sphere rotating once each day about an axis through the geographic poles of Earth. Earth seems solid, stable, and stationary from the perspective of an earthbound observer.
Ancient Greek, ancient Roman, and medieval philosophers usually combined the geocentric model with a spherical Earth, in contrast to the older flat-Earth model implied in some mythology. Greek astronomer Aristarchus of Samos developed a heliocentric model, placing all known planets in their correct order around the Sun. This view was challenged in Western culture until Johannes Kepler postulated that orbits were heliocentric and elliptical, and Newton in 1687 showed that elliptical orbits could be derived from his laws of gravitation.
What kind of sun is a Leo?
Leo, a celestial sign, is known for its stability, loyalty, and consistency. They are dedicated friends and lovers who put their hearts into every relationship. Leos are ruled by the sun, which never goes retrograde, and are known for their ambition and determination. However, they can become impaired by their ego, pride, and jealousy when they fear their star power will be eclipsed. It is important for Leos to remember that their light is never obscured by others, and their own hubris is the greatest threat to their happiness.
In tarot, Leo is represented by the “strength” card, which depicts the divine expression of physical, mental, and emotional fortitude. Fearless optimists who refuse to accept failure, Leos will find their deep wells of courage grow as they mature. They should avoid certain signs and find their best match based on their personality traits, weaknesses, and compatibility with others.
What is the difference between Leo rising and Leo sun?
A Leo Sun represents one’s core self and ego, while a Leo Rising influences outward behavior and first impressions. Leo Rising individuals value receiving compliments and admiration, and their flirting style is playful and enthusiastic. They enjoy making their interest known, often using humor and charm. To seduce a Leo Rising, be confident, expressive, and generous with compliments. Both traits are important for building strong connections and expressing oneself effectively.
Which astrology house system is most accurate?
The equal house system divides the ecliptic into twelve 30 degree divisions, with houses measured in 30 degree increments starting from the degree of the ascendant. This system is more accurate and less distorting in higher latitudes, especially above 60 degrees, than the Placidean and other quadrant house systems. The definition of houses involves the division of the sphere into twelve equal lunes perpendicular to a fundamental plane, with the Morinus and Regiomontanus systems being notable exceptions.
Houses are measured out in 30 degree increments starting from the longitude of the midheaven, which acts as the starting point of the 10th house. The ascendant does not coincide with the cusp for the 1st house.
Which is more accurate sidereal or tropical?
The most accurate method of astronomical measurement for astrological charts is sidereal measurement. In contrast, the fixed snapshot of the cosmos used in tropical measurement, which is the standard of modern Western astrology, is now astronomically inaccurate.

Soooo good!! Thank you for sharing this! I just got a (light bulb moment) I celebrate winter solstice as my “holiday” every year and just realized that it’s on my Ascendant!! It makes so much sense now. It’s also in the gate 10 of “love of self” in human design, (my specialty) and I always called it my “love day” this was before I knew astrology or HD. This article has given me so much clarity, as I usually use Scorpio season to start planning my new year
Capricorn sun, Aries rising, Aquarius moon… Let’s hope for the better… 19 strong shitty years… oupsie. Some calm times but others hard. Death of my mom first in 2005 when I was 17… huge family conflicts since oct 2011… Few ups and HUGE many downs. 13 years of hatred from one of my brothers. From june 2023 it has been particularly catastrophic on a professional level. Lost my job at the end of march. It escalated to a discussion and many betrayals at work… health issues from that stress (before that loss). Interesting when you talked about 2018 (beginning of my spiritual awakening) and 2019 I dated 3 guys that I’ve been keeping in touch with for 5 years and ended. One that I met abroad that I still love and consider my soulmate… He has literally changed my vision of life for the better ❤ I’ve been willing to live abroad… stellium in the 9th house! THANK YOU ❤

Love your in depth analysis for 2025. I’m a capricorn rising 2 degrees, Aries sun. I have read aquarius rising which is where most of my planets and houses line up but my jupiter is transiting the 6th house so I listen for Capricorn’s horoscope. I have felt life to be heavy these past 2 decades as I have had pluto in my 1st house since 2008 and it will cont for a lot longer but I am looking forward to 2025 as Saturn is going into my 3rd house in Aries where I have saturn and my sun and Jupiter is going into my 7th where I have my natal Jupiter in cancer so I hope for good things.
