Six Flags Magic Mountain, one of the first California amusement parks to reopen on April 1, will be home to California’s largest single-site commercial solar energy and storage project. The park will have several COVID-19 protocols in place, including limited capacity for members, season pass holders, and guests with single-day or group tickets. The park will reopen to the general public on April 3, 2021, following a 383-day closure from March 14, 2020, to March 31, 2021.
The relaxation of COVID-19 protocols comes as good news for Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain, which have been closed for almost a year. The park operates on peak and nonpeak opening hours, with TekZone and BeaverTails open from 12pm-6pm. All zones are closed tomorrow (Sunday, September 8), except for BeaverTails, which will be open.
Roller coaster fans could return to Six Flags Magic Mountain this spring, with the Valencia company announcing that its next coaster is expected to open in 2025 on the Golden Bear Theater location. Six Flags Magic Mountain confirmed on social media that they would put one into effect starting Saturday, Sept. 7th, 2024. The 260-acre theme park, known as the Thrill Capital of the World, boasts 20 roller coasters, making it the most thrilling attraction in the world.
