This isn’t the same exact safe I have, but most of them that have a combination digital code and master key override. Also have the red button on the inside, to press and reset the code. For people asking how to clear out the old code, I think it has something to do with either pressing that button a couple times, or pressing and holding the button. Also I guess this one has an “A and a B,” at the bottom of the numeric key pad. However on other digital combo safes, it has an asterisk and the numeric sign. One of those keys is used to save the combination. An I think one may be used to enter the combination and or to delete an old one. Anyways luckily I had saved my keys, because I forgot the code. Of course the fact that you can set your own key also means that there is always going to be an override key which might be either physical or digital, but in any hotel of repute that would probably be in the possession of someone responsible.
This is not a proper tutorial to change the combination of any digital safe,pressing the red button and adding another comb after the yellow light appears will only give the safe a 2nd valid comb that will open the safe,it will NOT delete the original Master code you 1st entered into the safes digital memory. For instance,this shows him resetting the code to 1234 & it opens the safe,lets say his original Master code was 5678 before he pushed the red button,waited for yellow light to stay on,then entered the new 1234 comb & opened the safe using 1234,at this point 1234 will open the safe and so will the original Master code of 5678 . To do a proper reset that deletes the original Master code where only your new code will opem the safe you have a step he missed,opem the safe,before pressing the red button inside safe emter 00 on the keypad,then immediately push the red button inside until the yellow light on the face stays light,you then have 15 secomds to enter up to an 8 digit numerical code and finishing your new code by pressing A or B afterwards,without hitting double zero 00 before following the instructions shown here your safe will have 2 codes that will open it every time .
The only problem with your tutorial is that you didnt ” reset ” the original combination the 1st user programed into the safe,the 1st comb entered becomes the “Master ” comb,by holding the red button in until yellow light stays on,then entering in a code all your doing is adding a 2nd code to the safes memory,the original master code will still open the safe even after you reset the code,read the fine print on instructions to chamge the code inside the safe & read where they printed “to change Master Code see instructions “,and i know simply pushing the red button & adding a new code dont delete the 1st code entered because both of my digital safes with 2 bramd names still retain original codes after ive changed them .
