Might Mystic Boost A Magi’S Defense?

Mystic Might is a prayer that grants a 15 boost to a player’s Magic attack and defense, increasing their Magic damage by 2. It cannot be used in conjunction with other prayers that provide a Magic, Ranged, Attack, or Strength bonus. The 15 boost to magic does not apply to both attacking and defending, but the 15 that does apply to attacking adds to the 30 magic level part. Mystic Might only boosts magic accuracy, not Max hit, and it may not make any real difference in magic defense.

The prayer is unlocked at level 45 Prayer and when active, gives a 15 boost to the player’s Magic attack and defense, increasing their Magic damage by 2. It cannot be used in conjunction with any of the other prayers that provide a Magic, Ranged, Attack, or Strength bonus. The best prayer option for f2p is Mystic Might, as it increases magic defense and magic attack.

Magic defense damage taken is calculated from 70 Magic level, 30 Defense level, and Magic defense bonus. Casting Lumbridge Home Teleport on the prayer increases your magical attack and defense by 15, and also increases your magic strength by 2.

Mystic Might makes a huge difference in magic defense, and its tooltip was updated at some point to indicate that it does increase magic defense. However, sparking or other ways of increasing magic attack do not boost the damage of this skill. Steel Skin is a prayer unlocked at level 28 Prayer that increases your Defence by 15. Like all stat-affecting prayers, it cannot be used in conjunction with other prayers.
