Wearing a good suit can greatly improve training, with the most important property being 100 Lower Reagent Cost for avoiding using reagents. Other desirable properties include 40 Lower Mana Cost, 2 Faster Casting, 6 Faster Cast Recovery, and as much Mana Regeneration as possible. To gain Necromancy, players should use the following Spells at skill levels: 40 to 50, Pain Spike, Horrific Beast, and more.
Necromancy is a dark art of casting spells that deals mostly with death and the dead. Players can use Meditation for this skill, an open spellbook called the Book of Chivalry, and eight different templates: Mage, Mystic, and Mystic. The Tome of Necromancy allows players to curse their foes, animate the dead, and cast certain spells based on their practitioner’s abilities.
To acquire a full Necromancer’s Spellbook, players must complete the Necromancy quest in New Haven (reach 50 in Necromancy skill). A Necromancer’s spellbook contains 16 powerful spells, usable alone or with other magics. Casting these spells impacts your karma, and dropping below zero makes them less effective.
The actual usage of the skill is fairly easy, as only a special spellbook with Necromancy spells is needed to start training. Players can buy a Spellbook and Reagents from any NPC Necromancer in New Haven. To use Necromantic Spells, the Necromancer must have the spell written.
New player quests for both necro and inscription can be found in the New Haven magery shop and the necro shop.

📹 Ultima Outlands: Necromancy, Summoner of Death
Hi everyone, welcome to another video. Necromancy skill is a newer skill to outlands that was introduced in the land expansion …
The necromancer summoner is still a very good spec to start with after you get magery to 100. I’m still using a 700p spec (100eval/mag/taste/meditation/necromancy/spiritspeak/tracking) + void aspect so I can blast some flamestrikes. Kinda interested in trying herding and death aspect. Which one would you drop for herding, taste id maybe? Although I’m kind of liking my 400-700 flamestrikes (grimoired curse+evil omen) and with mana refunds you usually get to blast at least a few.
Great article. I’m new to uo outlands, so this is pretty tough to follow since so much is happening at once. I do have a few questions if you see this. I don’t know where to train necromancy. I’ve been working on the other skills, but can’t figure out where the necro trainers are. Where do you macro this also? And is tracking here mainly for PK avoidance, or is there some other benefit for this build? Thanks!
Thanks for the article, new neceo player here im trying to decide which aspect to choose i heard eldrich is superior to death for pure damage any thoughts on which is better? Currently my skills are 100 Herding 100 Magery 100 Meditation 100 Eval Int 100 Necromancy 100 Spirit Speak 100 Tracking Thanks again 🙂
