Pokimon Is Employed By A Witchcraft Company?

Pokemon is not a game, and there is no evidence that children are forming satanic cults inspired by it. The creator of the game, Satoshi Tajiri, has claimed that the franchise is anti-Christian and was developed with Satanists in mind. A video featuring a Christian pastor claiming that Pokemon taught children how to enter the world of witchcraft is going viral. The guardians or “spirit guides” used in Pokemon encourage children in the ways of witchcraft. In the Bible, one of Israel’s kings, King Solomon, is mentioned as an example of a king who encouraged witchcraft.

The myth that Pokémon turns players into witches and warlocks is based on the idea that the games were created with Satanists in mind. However, there is no evidence to support this claim. The franchise originated as a pair of role-playing games developed by Game Freak, from an original concept by its founder, Satoshi Tajiri. The name Pokimane is a portmanteau of Pokémon and her name, Imane.

Animism focuses on BEINGS (gods, ancestors, ghosts, angels, nature spirits, spirit guides) and FORCES (magic, astrology, witchcraft, the evil eye, etc.). The myth that Pokemon opens kids up to witchcraft and the demonic is a misconception that is not supported by any Christian religion. The Bible recognizes three specific types of witchcraft that are forbidden – communing with spirits, communicating with spirits, and communicating with the demonic.

Is Pokémon based on demons?

Pokémon, a popular video game, is not demonic or evil, and its creator, Satoshi Tajiri, has never claimed that the franchise is anti-Christian or satanic. An interview with Tajiri in 2012, which allegedly described Pokémon as the antithesis of Christianity and supported Satanism, was false and did not provide any evidence on his motivations behind creating the franchise. The article, originally posted on the Play4Real website, was a joke and not meant to be taken seriously, but many people took it at face value and used it as a tool to spiritually condemn Pokémon.

Who is Pokémon based on?

The Pokémon franchise is set in a world where humans coexist with creatures known as Pokémon. As of January 2024, 1, 025 Pokémon species have been introduced, with most inspired by real-world animals or mythical creatures. The player character plays the role of a Pokémon Trainer, who has three primary goals: travel and explore the Pokémon world, discover and catch each Pokémon species to complete their Pokédex, and train a team of up to six Pokémon at a time for battles.

Poké Balls are used to catch Pokémon, which are transformed into energy and transported into the device. Once successful, the Pokémon is tamed and under the Trainer’s command. The Trainer’s Pokémon can engage in battles against opposing Pokémon, including those in the wild or owned by other Trainers. These battles are never overtly violent and contain no blood or gore.

Poké Pokémon never die in battle, but they faint upon being defeated and can be rejuvenated at a Poké Center. When a Pokémon wins a battle, it gains experience points, which level up and its statistics rise. As its level increases, the Pokémon learns new offensive and defensive moves. Many species can undergo a form of spontaneous metamorphosis called Pokémon evolution, and transform into stronger forms.

The main idea behind Pokémon was conceived by Satoshi Tajiri, born on August 28, 1965, in Machida, Tokyo. He grew up in Machida, Tokyo, and was fascinated by the 1932 film Freaks. Tajiri self-published the first issue of Game Freak in 1983, inspired by the film, and later became a respected game journalist in Japan’s fledgling video game industry.

What does Pokémon stand for?

Pokémon, short for “Pocket Monsters”, originated in the early 1980s in Japan from Game Freak, a gaming magazine. Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, founders of Game Freak, realized the decline of the arcade scene and decided to develop games themselves, including titles published by Nintendo, SEGA, and Sony. Tajiri and Co. introduced the idea of Pokémon to Nintendo, but the publishers didn’t fully understand. However, Tajiri worked under Shigeru Miyamoto’s mentorship to create Pocket Monsters: Red and Green, a game that combined collecting and trading monsters.

This led to the creation of the second-largest gaming franchise, behind Mario, owned by Nintendo. The franchise has since grown to become a global phenomenon, with titles published by Nintendo, Sega, and other consoles.

Are Pokémon based on mythology?

Pokémon are often inspired by woodland animals, insects, sea creatures, and plant life, but some are directly inspired by folkloric creatures and mythological figures like unicorns, sea dragons, phoenixes, and yokai. These Legendary Pokémon are rare, powerful, and surrounded by rumor and mystery. Their legendary foundation brings keen intelligence that can be used for benevolence or mischief. Are Pokémon based on gods?

Hydreigon, a Pokemon, is based on evil multi-headed creatures from various mythologies, including the well-known Hydra, which was slain by Hercules. However, Hydreigon takes its inspiration from Yamata No Orochi, a legendary Japanese serpent that was powerful enough to force earthly deities to sacrifice their daughters. Eventually, it was slain by the Shinto storm god Susanoo. Hydreigon’s shiny form is based on the Zmei Gorynych, a cunning Russian dragon with heads in the multiples of three. • The lyrical content of this article is true! After a few minutes of playing Pokemon, I joined a gang of evil demonic knife-scarred wizards! The only inaccuracy is the part about not being able to get saved. You can save all you want as long as the battery in your Pokemon cartridge is still good. Even then, you can just use your newfound mind powers to charge the battery.

  • “Little reclusive power-filled monsters, tell those spirits what to do! The child is then capable of taking those powers and websiteing them through their minds… to train spirits in the dark realm” LOL that’s deep but this dummy is using such creative thinking on brainwashing dummies and slandering innocent pokemon. Get him to write a damn fantasy book instead because he might as well be up their stealing random quotes from the new beasts snd where to find them movie.

  • Watching this after one of your old ones I’m struck by how much better the editing is. I’m glad you guys didn’t do this one early on, it’s so much better then it would have been. The animated effects, cutting people out and moving their layer forward over the reaction shots, the (very tasteful) vhs effects, even the font choice with the low resolution blur to make it seem as if it’s part of the source material. The editing is perfect with this one making it a great “fantasy roleplay”. A songify deserving of the source material.

  • Minister: “Pokemon world is a world of the demonic.” Me: (Okay, so we’re just going to make wild accusations with zero proof or evidence, then?) Literally six seconds later Minister: “They can’t get saved! Our kids are goin’ out on the streets in gangs.” Me: First of all, that goes against God’s teachings that anyone can be redeemed. Secondly, Pokémon does not encourage children to join what you call “gangs”, if anything, quite the contrary. The only main antagonist in the original games is Team Rocket (specifically the boss, Giovanni), something that would be identified as a criminal organization. Not only are they portrayed as evil (because they do things that are morally wrong: steal, hold people hostage, attack innocent people with brute force), but at the end of the game the protagonist stops the organization and their boss, Giovanni, surrenders. There are event members of Team Rocket that try to recruit you, teaching kids to be careful of temptation. And stopping this organization is essential to the plot and completion of the game, the plot actually demands the player to stand up to an evil force greater than themself. (and if we pick apart how hard the original games were, based on statistics of the core gameplay. . . in a realistic setting, it would take a miracle from God Himself for a ten-year-old child to topple a powerful, evil, organization.) And in the TV Show, the main antagonists were known as Team Rocket, but they were just two random members of Team Rocket, and they are always defeated, most of the time because of “sheer luck”.

  • It’s people like this that make it embarrassing to be a Christian…. like seriously… you’re a PASTOR, dude. Try THINKING about what you’re saying before you go and indoctrinate your congregation with superstition. Saying that “Your child can’t go to heaven if they play Pokemon” is implying that the sacrifice of Christ is of such limited power that it can be blocked by this “fantasy roleplay” and “magical creatures.” Well, I KNOW for a fact, 100% without a doubt that I’m going to heaven when I die, I have a relationship with Jesus, and I’m also just a generally good, kind person and yet I play pokemon and other article games, and for that matter, I watch anime too. Again, life is all about balance and you can’t lean too far into the physical parts of life, but you also have to be careful not to get lost in the spiritual. Just some words from your friendly neighborhood penguin. <(")

  • I used to play this for my grade 3/4 class. They were confused but found it funny. I think they enjoyed that it was taken from an actual sermon. I had to listen again today. I don’t know what it is about this article and song but it’s still awesome! I think it’s’ also his Mr. Rogers type voice used in a song that makes it that much better!

  • As a kid my parents saw a preacher talking about and refering to what this guy said… They believed all what they said that much that they forbid us from perusal Pokémon or even mentioning it. Actually… they never saw the thing one time and just thought that it is evil that is supposed to evoke devil in kids 😀 They were so surprised when D&P was airing and I couldn’t hold myself back anymore, so I turned on the TV and watched it. For the first time they saw how cute they are and how they encourage kids to be friends with others and help each other… 😀 But they acted kinda tsundere- “Well… they might be a bit cute, yes. I will allow you to watch them just for now…” XD (Ye, then they actually became liking the show, watched it with me and learned some of the Pokémon as well… XD )

  • Well that WOULD make a cool story… Training creatures in a articlegame is actually training/raising evil creatures in real life without knowing, and they rise up and try to destroy the world… Maybe the creatures that someone liked the most end up siding with humans and fighting back because they remember their trainers.
