This is a common case of people who don’t understand the champion pretenting he’s doing something amazing, but with ZERO value. I’m a Plat 4 800k Rakan. so let me make a list why. – Using E will place you on the opposite side of your ally, setting up your W. When using double E while slingshotting, it only places you back on the incorrect side of your ally, and probably out of range to hit your W. – E cooldown begins to reset after the first proc, meaning theres no point using both resets if your trying to restart the cooldown timer. – E shield does not stack, only refreshes, so to use both resets almost instantly means you lose alot of value. – Using both E resets also prevents you from using it again if you need to return to your adc, creating a longer gap between uses. As a champion that heavily relies on mobility, its not a good idea to be stranded for 16 seconds without the ability to dash in the early/mid game. – You dont need double E to buffer R animation, just do it on the first E, also allowing you to charm the enemies sooner. Double tapping E on Rakan is not hard, with the correct settings enabled you can just double click the button and it will do it automatically for you. Amoung Rakan players, it is more often seen as a mistake, due to the lack of finger control, because you get sloppy and/or panic, beginning to mash you bottons in an uncontrolled manner, acidently double-clicking. This is not a statement questioing keria’s skill as a player, as I have been supporting C9, G2 and T1 for the past 3 years.
Ok, it’s not because of the 8ms. It’s pure animation cancelling in the first two clips. In the first one he uses E>R>E, that’s why he can double shield so fast. He does a similar thing in the second clip, however he uses Shurelya for cancelling (R>E>Shurelya>E>Flash) since he starts with his ultimate. In the third one he uses the first E on Xayah and the second E on Diana. Still, he does the combos in a amazing speed, especially the second one.
