Magic Tree House is an American children’s series written by Mary Pope Osborne, with the original American series illustrated by Salvatore Murdocca until 2016. AG Ford took over in 2016, and other illustrators have been used for foreign-language editions. The series is divided into two groups: Dinosaurs Before Dark and Fact Trackers.
The first two books in the series were cowritten by Mary Pope Osborne and her husband, Will Osborne, in 2000. Since then, there have been 54 books published. Mary Pope Osborne is the main writer and author of the Magic Tree House Series, which has been translated into more than 30 languages. She has collaborated with her husband Will Osborne for the first eight Fact Tracker books, and her sister has co-written subsequent books in the series.
