What does Chiron in Astrology mean? Understanding Chiron’s meaning in Your Natal Chart! I cover it all right here, on my Soul …
How to heal your Chiron?
To find true happiness and comfort after Chiron wounds, embrace your inner child and practice unconditional love for the younger parts of yourself. This will help you come to terms with negative memories from the past. Focus on appreciating your positive qualities like kindness, wisdom, or generosity, and treat this exercise as a daily affirmation to eliminate internalized negative messages from past or present caregivers.
How does Chiron affect me?
The astrological planet Chiron, regarded as a cosmic healer, exerts a profound influence on life by symbolizing the inner wounds and struggles that humans endure. The placement of Chiron in one’s natal chart indicates a need for nurturing and love. Understanding this placement is a challenging yet rewarding aspect of astrology, as it provides insights into one’s potential for healing and growth.
What is the personality of Chiron?
Centaurs were known for their wild, lusty nature, overindulgence, and uncultured delinquency. However, Chiron, a centaur, was intelligent, civilized, and kind due to his parentage. He was the son of the Titan Cronus and the Oceanid Philyra, possibly brother to Dolops and Aphrus, the ancestor and eponym of the Aphroi, native Africans. Chiron lived predominantly on Mount Pelion and married the nymph Chariclo, who bore him three daughters, Hippe, Endeïs, Ocyrhoe, and one son, Carystus.
Like other centaurs, Chiron was expelled by the Lapithae from his home, but sacrifices were offered to him by the Magnesians until a late period. The family of the Cheironidae in that neighborhood, distinguished for their knowledge of medicine, were considered his descendants.
Chiron’s physical appearance often differs from other centaurs, demonstrating his status and heritage. In traditional Greek representations, his front legs are human, unlike centaurs’ equine lower bodies. This difference sets him apart from other centaurs and may have highlighted his unique lineage as the son of Cronus. Chiron is often depicted carrying a branch with dead hares hanging from it and wearing clothes, demonstrating his more civilized nature.
What is Chiron good at?
Chiron, a renowned healer, astrologer, and oracle, was the first among centaurs and a respected teacher and tutor. He taught many culture heroes, including Asclepius, Aristaeus, Actaeon, Achilles, Jason, and Medus. Chiron’s myth is connected to Peleus, who was the grandfather of Peleus through his daughter Endeis, who married Aeacus. Chiron saved Peleus’ life when Acastus tried to kill him by taking his sword and leaving him in the woods. Chiron then explained to Peleus how to capture the nymph Thetis, leading to their marriage.
Chiron is also connected to the story of the Argonauts, who he received kindly when they visited his residence on their voyage. Many of the heroes were his friends and pupils. Chiron was a renowned mentor, bringing up future heroes like Asclepius, Aristaeus, Actaeon, Achilles, Jason, and Medus.
What does your Chiron sign mean?
Chiron, a sign in astrology, represents the connection between our deepest struggles and our ability to heal and help others. It is represented by a key-shaped symbol on your birth chart, resembling a capital “K” centered over a capital “O”. Chiron, first identified in 1977, orbits around the solar system between Saturn and Uranus. It doesn’t follow a strict schedule in each zodiac constellation, spending an especially long time in Pisces and Aries (8 to 9 years). The planet’s position is determined by the position of certain stars, planets, and celestial bodies in the sky.
Why is Chiron important?
In contemporary astrological practice, Chiron is regarded as a wounded healer, despite its status as a figure of expertise in the realms of medicine and healing. In natal charts, Chiron symbolizes the most significant spiritual wounds an individual may experience and the capacity to facilitate their healing.

After suffering a severe injury, he retreated into a cave to heal himself. Zeus, the god king, granted him the ability to die, placing his soul in the constellation Centaurus.
Chiron’s story is not one of hubris or human folly, but rather a wise teacher who did not let his injuries make him hard. He taught legendary heroes like Jason, Achilles, and Hercules, but he was repeatedly wounded by circumstances, reflecting a key characteristic of astrological Chiron, which represents hurts done to us, usually in childhood.

My wound was formed when I was about 2 years old. It was 18th September ( my mum’s birthday) and my mum and dad were already separated. My dad came to collect me for the day and as we were leaving my mum was really loving and sounded as though she didn’t want me to leave. When my dad and I were in his car I began to cry at the thought of my mum being alone. I cried so much my dad took me back to my mum. When she opened the door she it was clear she was entertaining a man. My dad then proceeded to beat her up in front of me. I learnt that when I want something, other people may get hurt. I also felt guilty as I didn’t step in to save my mum. Obviously I now know that it was not my responsibility. But the wound remains. ❤. Chiron is 29 degrees Pisces in my 4th house. Before my Dad passed away in 2017 he reminded me of the day ( I didn’t forget or ever) and he told me that he blames me for the ending of his marriage, because if I didn’t cry, he wouldn’t have taken me home, then he wouldn’t have abused my Mum and they may have remained married. My Dad was a wounded Scorpio sun sign.
The dark side of Chiron is my dad. His mom died shortly before I was born. He because a bitter, narcissistic, misogynist. He pushed away all four of my sisters, and he emotionally abused my kids and then my wife. And in the end, I walked away. Mow he’s alone with his second wife. The exact same fate as his dad, who I barely knew. I learned, and I’m working to fix our orlog, or family luck. My Chiron is in Taurus in the 8th house. 46.
7 yrs of violent CSA as a kid from my godfather/great-uncle was how it started. Many other wounds came after, but I’m working on using my pain and suffering to help others who are having trouble with loving themselves. If I can find love and a family and a purpose in life (like I have over the last 15 yrs) others who have experienced violent abuse can too. ❤️
Chiron in the 12th in gemini which is intercepted. Sigh. Where to start with wounds. Transit pluto is also currently squaring my moon. For the past few years all my wounds feel like they have come up and are sitting under my skin. First wounds start with my parents. Chiron squares my sun (10th house) and trines my moon (5th house). Have always felt there is something inherently wrong with me psychologically. Healing from CSA after repressing it for over 20 years. Currently in EMDR therapy working on recalling memories of abuse. Communication. Come from a family where my voice were stifled. Abuse silenced me. Always feel like no one would want to hear or be interested in what I have to say. Feel called to speak and write about overcoming trauma. Chiron also trines my mercury (9th house).
I have Chiron in Aries in the 9H, Pluto in the 3H. I’m 52 growing up my voice was completely stamped out.I was bullied by an overbearing, angry father, who had a violent temper and had an emotionally unaware/unavailable mother. Through my Dads job we relocated country/home every 2 years which was very emotionally damaging. My education was continuously disrupted, so I under achieved academically. I was also a child that had strong spiritual experiences in a family where this was ridiculed (Cap sun, Cancer Ascendent, Cancer moon in 12th).I love supporting people, they tend to open up to me and supporting others to communicate, allows me to see myself more clearly. Understanding Chiron is still a work in progress.Thankyou for the article. Amazing❤️🙏
Chiron in Scorpio in the 9th, and I was alienated from kindergarten to high school for being gay (i never confessed it though). From riots at my door every other week to receiving backlash from adults in my community and sometimes even family. I remember the pastor at my church took the kids to his house and separated me in a dark corner by myself away from the others. Idk how i managed but i was always positive especially when i got home to my room. Now i realize how much it affected my ability to date or even consider the idea of a serious relationship but I’m working on it everyday. 💚
Meredith your Chiron story at 12, woah, I would have never known that because you’re so gorgeous that to see someone who was burned and I’d never know, that’s amazing. And I see you’re point- had you stayed on that cheerleader dancer journey, which just by seeing your face and positive vibe, you would’ve been perfect for that profession and I bet you still remember how much you wanted that- yet if I’m correct, Chiron said, I have to wound you because God or spirit or soul needs you for more than that.. the world needed you to heal us through astrology and you literally have saved me even at almost crucial mistake points because I had you to listen to. You’re such a healer and Chiron Medal of Honor ❤
This moved me to tears, Meredith. I always saw you as a kindred spirit but now I know for sure! Your story is inspiring (and inspired). Like you, one of my Chironic wounds occurred in childhood (age 9), and disfigurement. I was riding my bike when a car hit me and I flew through the air and mopped up the pavement with my face. It left permanent facial disfigurement especially on my mouth and jaw; my school teachers and classmates bullied me from that day forward all the way up thru high school. In high school, boys lit me on fire and called me “Medusa,” among other things, and I had horrible self-esteem. I had to transcend that through my art, poetry, writing, psychic empathy, and a deep connection with Nature & animals, over the decades. Chiron in ♈️ (ruling head & mouth) closely conjunct South Node in my 2nd House (which rules the face). Venus in ♈️ is my Sole Dispositor and widely conjunct Chiron (10 degrees), but close enough to feel it! I ❤Barbara Hand Clow’s work on Chiron! From her book I learned how my Chiron sextiling my Ascendant is a GIFT, and indicates how I have come into this lifetime with some healed past life karma. Yet my SN is right there, too, complicating the story. One of the magical gifts of my Chiron is compassion for others’ pain, self-worth, self-esteem and sense of self. My Chiron is just a few degrees away from my ♉️ moon (in 2nd House) and I love nurturing others’ sense of self-worth, self-care, etc. Another gift has been a loving relationship with rescue animals (cats and dogs) especially my late dog who was abused & abandoned (before she was rescued by an organization and I adopted her in 2009.
This was so great!! Thank you!! I have Chiron exactly conjunct Mars in Cancer in the 11H. My deepest wounds have always come from friends. A few years ago I had a friend who I considered family. Our families spent every weekend together and we were inseparable. Then a miscommunication over a article game happened between our husbands and she completely changed towards me. She went so far as to destroy my business while I was away on a 3 day trip to NYC. She tried to ruin my reputation in the community as well but thankfully she was unsuccessful in that regard.
I have natal Chiron in the first house and currently Chiron is conjunct my Sun in the first house. When I was a kid I never felt loved and accepted for who I was… I felt there was something wrong with me and that I had to try hard to get sb’s love.. I felt I had something to say, but I was muted in a way. And I didn’t have a sense of self.. instead, I look for myself in the eyes of others. I didn’t have abusive parents. My father had a warm and cheerful personality, my mother was emotionally cold.
Thank you for sharing your story Meredith 🙏 I have Chiron in the 10th and wherever I work I am never fulfilled, I feel as though it’s never what I should be doing, as though I can do so much more. I have struggled with crippling anxiety all my life and it’s debilitating, it stops me from pursuing my goals. My Chiron is opposite Saturn, a push pull effect between my daily responsibilities and pursuing my dreams, constantly wanting various occupations too😂 Thank you so much for this article, it is much appreciated.
I’m commenting to tell everyone to like and subscribe and tell everyone about Meredith so she can hit her 100k goal! I just don’t understand why she isn’t already way past that amount! Big love to you Meredith. Yes Chiron wound is really deep for this Sag and I’m almost 5 years past my Chiron return and it keeps almost killing me! Hopefully this Solar Return year I can finally surrender ❤
This was so awesome, and I’m amazed with your explanation 😯. I have Chiron in Pisces in 11th. I was born w a lesion on my pituitary which stops hormone production in my body. My puberty was delayed and at this time I take prescription hormones. This affected my friend relationships when I was a teen. At this time I teach high school students w autism, adhd, emotional issues, gay and trans students. I try to create a safe space for all of them— its my job
I have Chiron in Taurus 3° 7th house, conjunct Taurus 3° in Mercury. I was victim of SA by an uncle at age 8. My grandmother covered it up. And only now at age 46 can I talk about it. But only to help others find courage. Youre right, it will never heal, but it gave me empathy for victims of trauma. My life’s purpose will be devoted to serving victims of DV etc. by running safe houses. Thank you for sharing your story.
Because I was holding him back, so I called my mother who already passed, momma, it hurt, help me. But I told Albert he has his mother waiting for you. I’m a coward when dealing with emotional pain, but Albert waited until I released him, and then he is gone. I don’t ever wanted to fo through that pain again. So profound, and something open up for me. I know now that I can express and appreciate love now. Thanks.
My Chiron is in Aries in the 8th house, your wound of self-worth may have to do with power, intimacy, or change. You may struggle with feeling helpless or unworthy when it comes to shared resources or close relationships. Healing happens when you realize your inner strength and accept your ability to change. My Chiron trines sun and mars which are in the 4th house of Sagittarius. It also trines my ac in Virgo.
im chiron in libra 7th house. never had a romantic relationship ever even at 27. im 28 and still currently don’t have one. well my reason is maybe more of my 8th house things and other stuff and ofc the chiron-i hear about bad relationships and also what bad communication etc in relationship is like due to my parents. i know im having it more better and like more smooth unlike others maybe cuz its from past life. I feel like i am trying to be vigilant in making sure i don’t end up in a shitty relationship cuz of myself and also cuz of others. but im working w myself(what i can control) to protect myself and understand it so i guess thats why im perusal this article. growing up i think what really helped me was perusal content or experiencing media regarding romance and how there are people who make them and people who enjoy them which means there are ppl like me and i think most ppl dont want to be hurt. like it makes me feel hopeful that there is high quality relationship to aspire and be in. Also religion
Thank you Mer…Chiron in Taurus 10th H opposite Scorpio mercury in 4th…Venus in Scorpio in 4th is my dispositor ….i can give the best advices to people but cannot advise my own self when it comes to career and calling in life. I can see everyone’s potential except my own. I have Jupiter conjunct NN in 2nd house and I feel that my Chiron in the 10th is making my self reliance so much harder. I am a sole provider for my 2 children and I wish it was easier to thrive and know better how to make money to support my family better. Thank you ❤🙏🏻
Chiron is in my 1st house in Gemini. I moved to live where I speak English as my second language, while I can use it in my daily life with no problems I find it so hard to find the right English words to express myself fully. And because I speak English so much I now find it it difficult to express myself fully in my first language! This was so hard because I loved writing as a kid. I am also born with a big birth mark on my neck, right next to my throat, a big black dot. I was told it could be a health risk if it starts to grown or change colour. I often considered I must have had a past life when I was mute, because I’m just not as talkative or communicative as typical Gemini Rising. When I was a kid, I learnt to express myself through music, but I found out I am the complete opposite of pitch perfect, I just can’t hear it somehow, I was very sad and gave up music eventually. Now, I rediscovered my passion for drawing and painting. I found expressing myself through visual arts helps a lot, but I work best when I collaborate with other people and to bring other people’s idea or story to life, because I still find it hard to express myself If I’m left completely on my own. I used to feel a little hurt that I can’t just work completely independently like some other artists I know and look up to, but I feel I’m completely at peace now with this and I’ve completely accepted my artistic identity and found great joy and freedom in collaborating with others.
This article was really powerful, I have quíron in sagittarius in the 3/4 house, and I must say, I felt all your advices deeply. My quíron in the last 4 years have been so hurtful, I lost my beliefs, my cummunity. I am still finding who I am without all my preview experiences. It’s a fresh start for my spirituality, and I am so grateful for your work. Thank you ❤
This was an explosive wealth of knowledge❤. I have Chiron 1st house Pisces 11• in the 1st house ( conjunct ascending ♒️ 1st). I have many experiences, but this is the one I started realizing my journey. I owned 16 (houses)properties when the housing market crashed. I was married, 2 small kids and my little yorkie. I lost everything except for one POD of “stuff”. I got divorced and moved in w my parents. I had to start all over learning to be a new version of me. After the pain and anger, I realized this was on my path and a huge lesson not to look back but to move forward. Thank you Meredith xo
I have Chiron on the 5th house in Pisces conjunct Vesta. I am definitely meant to heal others. I love Melanie Reinhart and I read Chiron and the Healing Journey and her other amazing books. . There is so much on Chiron.. Thank you for sharing your depth and wisdom in this very deep topic of healing . I love you. I wish I can go to your Chiron discussion. Thank you beautiful Meredith. <3
This is Viv, it did transform me, he was my gift and healing journey and he was my son Timothy who died soon after his birth with Chiron opposite my sun in Scorpio. What you say Meredith is so true. He was my first child and you are so right Mer because death was definitely preferable to life because I could have been with my Timothy. and it did connect me amazingly to my spiritual transformation. I think I am a grief carrier, I did it for my Mum when I was only a toddler and working though grief seems to be a recurrent theme. Thank you so much.
Like by going thru the pain in crucifixion to use that wound, heal the human nature’s sins. The best way I think meant Chirons wound, real hard to accept, and make the wound look help human nature. Wow, that is very deep, worst than Pluto wound. Thanks Meredith, you are so enlightened and I believe a Hermit, like an Aquarius water bearer symbol, pouring the spiritual knowledge to humanity. So deep, yet so simple truth made down to earth for us to assimilate. Thanks for sharing.
Chiron is exactly square my nodes, opposite Mars, sextile Jupiter, and loosely trine my Sun. Its in my 10th house and I’ve been recently considering becoming a medical astrologer. As Pluto enters my 6th house (Aquarius), I’m devastated by the number of people my age I’m seeing experiencing serious physical illnesses.
I also didn’t know that u don’t put out a grease fire with water! I was 15 yrs old already! My step-sisters never let me forget how stupid I was for not knowing! I set the kitchen on fire. I was so very lucky that I immediately ‘hit the floor’ and was amazingly unhurt/ unburned. I have chiron 7th house retrograde in Aquarius. opposing my ascendant and Uranus, square to mercury
Sagittarius rising me again lol perfect example I married at 18 I had the strongest desire to make s home life at an early age I was determined I would have a place no one could hurt me and I called the shots and it was MY HOME! LOL!! Thank you so much I love your articles I’m going to join your website!!
ive been working on this area myself. Retrograde Chiron in 5th house Aries conjunct my moon (2degrees) and conjunct Jupiter(8degrees) (yay return time). Iv had issues with low self esteem and self judgement my whole life. parents separated when I was 6 months old, and father got custody, which says alot about the mother issues in itself. Also had an abusive step mother as well, which left a lot of self esteem and self worth problems, always struggling with putting myself out there consistently, and being assertive. im trying to get better. thanks for the insights.
My strongest aspect in my chart is Chiron opposite Jupiter at 0 degrees. Chiron is in my 5th house in Capricorn. Idk if this is accurate but I’m constantly worried I won’t be successful and that I don’t have what it takes. I’m scared to be incapable and a failure. My vertex is conjunct my Chiron and it’s brought me a soul connection that forces me to face that wound to be with that person. It’s not fun but it’s really deep :/
I’ve got chiron conjunct Venus in Aries in my 8th house, opposite Pluto in Libra in the 2nd. I’ve had 2 NDE’s, and the number of loved ones in my life that have died I’ve lost count of. I’m a Pisces sun (7th house, 11th house Cancer moon) i have a profoundly intense intimacy with death. one foot in spirit, one foot on earth. death and rebirth..
Wow! I see why this article was a challenge! Thank you for making the effort to bring such an offering to us. I humbly appreciate it! ❤❤❤ So, I just realized that my North node is in Gemini in the 7th house and I have Chiron in Taurus in the 7th house. I am wondering if Chiron in the 7th makes it more challenging to to become my north node self?!
I know what you are talking about, when Pluto crossed my Aquarius Venus 0°55′, took my husband of 53 years, I am a plutonian Aquarian but I can never be objective but the hurt it caused to feel so deep, but with all my plutonian, Uranus, saturnian tendency to fight it through is not any help at all, but accept and lived the pain. 6 air signs only 1 earth planet and 2 water in Cancer heavily afflicted, I had no way of forcing myself to overcome but learn to accepting, processing and become the pain, the way you described. I’ve never actually the refused p hysical pain, but never that kind of pain which the water element are so used to feel. It is so painful in the heart and soul, I tell you, I’m so surprised that I survived, even with out overcoming, and how do you deal with that Christ like pain. I had 3 planets Neptune, moon and jupiter in Libra with my Chiron in libra all in the 12th. I’ve never felt that I was ever in love even with my husband of 53 years. Although all of my air signs in the water house, even my north node and Uranus in Gemini in the 8th with the grand trine is helping me to go with the pain in feeling it instead of intellectually thinking it. First time I felt that with that painful loss, I decided it might have been love, unconditional love higher than the physical love. That must have been my karmic experience about love, it was kind of a good hurt for me, because I was able to appreciate the lessons of love. I was always told I am heartless by my family because I am very stoic and never felt vulnerable at all.
My sun sign is libra in 8th house, my chiron is scorpio in 8th house, i’m grateful with it even tho is not easy, but the understanding that i’ve gain day by day it’s not kidding tho, everything is corelated, every variable its matters and each new variable that i’ve interact makes me looking deeper and deeper, its lonely but its exciting in the same time 😄😄😄
mer… I was thinking of commenting many things, deep, sweet, vulnerable but my mind went blank. 34:40 !there’s no way, you look 30! you might have to post off the script skin care content asap I’m 19 trying to look that young in my 50’s too lol😂. Btw I love how healing this article got on a bad day for me while making me laugh as always. I learn so much from you. love from your aquas 🫶🏼<3
People forget about the wounds and create amazing coping mechanisms, but deep down when we say, they dont feel ok. But not all wounds are soo painfull – like the physical, there are more surface wounds, like cuts, burns, and more deeper, …..the Chiron in Scorpio wound is the deepest, most painfull, cause Scorpio, pluto is related to death and this wound almost kills you. I mean it kills you – deep trauma, fear
😮💨 ok so my I have Cancer Chiron in the 8H conjunct my Jupiter and with strong trine to my Scorpio Pluto in my 12H and weak trine to my Scorpio Mars in 12H (yes Pluto mars conjunct 😅) I have a sexual wound . Was sexually abused as a child. I refused counseling and literally just compartmentalized it. Please don’t judge me but now I use my wound to empower myself and bring myself abundance. I’m a stripper, which opened up doors for me and has helped me begin making my dreams come true . I’ll prob always over sexualize myself bc this is how I was wounded but at least I’m making it work for myself
My Chiron and my Pluto directly oppose one another. My Chiron wound caused my Pluto wound, so my wounds are forever intertwined. My wounds are too painful to reveal. I will go to my death suffering from these wounds. One of my sufferings is that I know I will die never being loved by anyone. My loneliness is profound. I truly do not want to live.
4:06 all sounds easy but I can’t even see beyond my fence outside. I’m totally lost .. today is 20 th September 2024 I’m a Pisces ♓️ 0 degrees in 12 th … and so on.. I have Chiron in Aries in first house at 17 degrees! I’m struggling atm with letting go of last 4 yrs of pain by all family I’ve known.. so much more !!
I have chiron in third house and was diagnosed with a learning disability in grade 3. As a child, it affected my self esteem because it was obvious to me that I was learning at a slower pace. In grade 9, I had a teacher who taught me to call it a “learning difference” because dis-able means “unable to learn”. From then on, I took it as a challenge to beat the odds and continue to pursue post secondary education, so that my learning difficulties would never be something that got in the way. I am now a nurse 🙂
It is interesting that asteroid 2060 (Chiron) is the one most talked about in astrology, even though it was only discovered in the 1977, while asteroids 1-4 (Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta (though I don’t quite remember the order)) were all discovered 4 decades before Neptune, but aren’t talked about as much. The only other asteroid given more attention is 134340 (Pluto), though that one was considered a planet for over 70 years before it was reclassified as an asteroid.
I have Virgo Chiron Rx in 11H. I did feel like I didn’t belong in large crowds when I was a K – 12 student. When I got to college and the work world, everyone started liking me and I have many friends now. If I am overlooked in a group setting, I take it as that group of people are immature and I just go look for some mature folks to hang out with. I love people who don’t pick favorites and aren’t about cliques.
2nd house @ 18:08 I have this placement and grew up in poverty. There were days when we ate once a day and not even full meals. I would get a small allowance when things were good, and I’d buy candy to give to my friends around the neighborhood. This would lead to guilt and shame later when we had no money for food. So over the years I’d swing between being a hoarder to giving away my things and giving money I didn’t have to give. I rarely found balance. I’d also swing between binge eating and forgetting to eat until I was sick. During this lockdown I unintentionally remedied this placement. I studied personal finance and got serious about my health and fitness goals, which included tracking my caloric intake daily with an app. It’s a start and now with this article I can be more conscious of Chiron’s lessons. Thanks, Heather!
I have chiron in the 12th and I have always felt like I’m from another planet. When I was 6 a travelling planetarium came to my school and I was shown the constellation of Pleiades, as soon as I saw it and heard its name I had the most intense feeling of love through my whole body and it just felt like home. This planet is so off key to me, I dont understand the way people treat each other and the things that people do here is just really weird and nonsensical to me the majority of the time. Earth is like a ghetto, I don’t really like it, but I have come to accept that I must have come here for some reason. I’m super grateful for my human life and the experience of being here, but I do look forward to going home one day, when the time is right. Sending love to all the other beings out there who feel this is not their home and struggle with the Earth experience, you are not alone ❤💜❤
Wow! this so resonated! Chiron in the 11th house, I actually I thought I was of alien origin as a child, then switched to being friends with nature spirits and animals. I am more comfortable with people who are unique and outsiders. I prefer interactions with one or two individuals, groups of people are a problem still.
I feel that Chiron is the bridge from the personal planets to the outer, generational planets. Likened to the Holy Ghost in religions. We are after all little God Sparks of the whole of the Universes. In my classes, I like to cover Chiron because I’ve found that we teach others when we get older how to overcome our hurts to help others. Having it in my 1st house of self and physical body I have helped a lot of people experience how to love themselves. Having my Mars/ Pluto/ and Sun in Leo helps. I’ve always studied Chiron because I have it at 26’55” Sagittarius (double centaur 😉 exactly conjunct the Galactic Center to the minute ( in 1951) in my 1st house (9’45” Sag Rising), trining my Pluto/Sun conjunction in LEO in my 9th Hs and also trining my Jupiter in Aries in the 4th Hs! This Fire Trine has helped me to be brave in difficult situations, especially with the huge Sag influence in my chart. And yes, as you mentioned for the Chiron placement in the 1st house, I did feel awkward as a child. I have dyslexia (which we’ve discovered now that WE who have it are actually looking at things right side up instead of human eyes lenses that look at things upside down and backward!). I also grew so big and so fast as a child, that people expected me to be able to do things that kids much older were expected to do. A real-life Baby Huey! Haha 😉 I started discussing the Galactic Center with my fellow Astrologers and Phillip Sedgewick down in Phoenix back in 2003. And having my Chiron conjunct the GC, became fascinated with it as well.
Chiron in the 8th (♉️) Always been made to feel deficient somehow. I’m very much interested in psychology. I’m a beginner astrologer and am gay. I’ve always been private because of social and economic status and that’s led me to study Buddhism and witchcraft. Minimalism was a life saver (literally). I have this increasing thing where I bump into random people and they start telling me about their lives and almost always tell me they felt safe in sharing.
I feel a connection to Chiron bc I’ve literally tried to heal myself from an autoimmune disease that affects me physically in a variety ways. It has been wreaking my life for nearly 15yrs now & in the process it’s stolen many childhood dreams & adult life experiences. This article was super helpful & informative. I def needed this! TYSM Heather 🙏 Namasté 🕊️
Wow! This is the first hearing about that Chiron degree and age of the wound relationship, and I had trouble figuring out what it was because mine is 26 degrees Gemini in the 8th house conjunct Venus. Music has always been a really important part of my life, and Ive ALWAYS written music as a website of creativity. Around that time, I was in a really bad marriage and a powerless position and was writing songs that websiteed that depression and hopelessness. I started going to music festivals and seeing bands that were really healing and uplifting, which was amazing, but it also made me realize how I wanted my music to be that healing and uplifting but no matter how hard I try, it always has a sadness to it. I gradually stopped playing and singing because it just really hit me hard, even after I left the marriage and things got better. I haven’t really felt “in love” with playing my guitar or singing since then and it’s actually like having lost a part of myself.
3rd house and spot on. I didn’t start speaking until I was like 6 and before than I only said a couple of words. I had to take speech therapy all the way through elementary and middle school. I got bullied on how I speak all the time in elementary school. I have some dyslexia, and often acts up when I’m dealing with science formulas. I never had issues with my siblings though, they’re the best.
That’s pretty amazing when you can make sense of your issues so you can overcome them. I’m a healer and that’s exactly the way I got into healing. I’ve been through both physical and emotional trauma that I had to overcome and heal these aspects within myself now I teach from experience and that’s why I’m such a powerful healer and able to help others. Really loved the explanation of this article 😊💗
Chiron retrograde 1st house Aries. My mother gaslighted me from birth. Said I was brain damaged when I wasn’t. Bad self esteem. Attached to my nth node in Scorpio. Scorpio & 7th house super STELLIUM (5 placements in each) healer. My mother STOLE my identity. But Chiron is in retrograde. Does that mean it changes, cause that’s what happened this year (I’m 44 years old). I am my true identity now!
I have Chiron in the 3rd house in Aries. Sun, Venus, North Node in Pisces in the 3rd also. I was bullied by my first grade teacher. She got all my peers to join in too. She believed I belonged in Special Education. The school Psychologist disagreed. Then he retired and was stuck in Special Ed for 3 years. As a result I was left back in 4th grade transfer back into mainstream classroom. I also changed schools from Public to private. I now have a Masters Degree in Educational Theatre. Certification as a Tarot Advisor too.
Chiron in 1st house of Pieces at 23 (almost 24) degree, the time I gave birth to my first child in hospital (Pieces), and the pain was horrible and it was scary too, almost died ((( Chiron return to the 1st house – got into bad accident, almost died, was in horrible pain, brain trauma, still recovering ((( now helping people with the same experience. Great! It’s so true. Thank you 💕
Crosswatching for a Chiron in 12H male and Chiron 4 degrees Pisces 10H female. thank u. I am a woman who feels like i dont belong here on earth and i so desperately need to travel, see other people, enjoy myself, eat good home cooked foods, go out and eat at different restaurants, just to feel like a human being again. Father was absent and i’m a woman staying celibate & single because i want to and need to for my health & safety. I only have my Heavenly Father that i can depend on.
Holy shit! My Chiron is at 8°47″ I was adopted at 9… The woman who adopted me changed for the worse afterwards and I have alot of trauma because of that woman! She had 3 other adoptive kids and I felt no connection with any of them because I had my own sister and brother, but we were split up in the system. Wow!
It just feels like the pain the trauma the hurt the blood is steeping into and over everything…… Feels like sickness is holistic too… Also i think i feel rejected by those and reject those who have the same wound… As in i have a radar that scans people for their vulnerability… Self love is the only way out really Thank you for the lots of clarity
My Chiron is 8* Pisces and my Ascendant is 12* Pisces, so there are both 12th and 1st house influences for my Chiron. Shortly after I turned 9 years old, I had a bicycle accident and broke my left front tooth, and have had a cap ever since, so my front teeth don’t match. That tooth is still alive over 50 years later, and I am getting new cap with matching cap on right front tooth later this year.
Chiron in the 2th house (Scorpio). I’m do not care so much for material things or have considered it a problem. But I do often tend to seek value outside myself instead of looking within – wanting others to validate me to know that I’m worthy. Sex (relating to Scorpio) is one of the things. I’ve also got my Lilith in Scorpio. That food thing tho. Wow. You hit the nail on the head. I’ve got a weird relationship with food that contains a lot of guilt and stress. Also been struggling with anorexia in my teens and binge eating (I’ve also got my Jupiter in pieces the 6th so maybe that could have some influence as well). Thanks for this informative article! ❤️
I have Chiron in the 11th (Venus in 11th also, but they are not conjunct) and I looove my weird friends – they are the only people with whom I do not feel like an alien (or just feel comfortable enough to be so different than the rest of the world). 😀 I hate big groups of people tho. Great article, Heather. <3
I have Chiron in the 8th it’s been a tricky and hard placement for sure but it has taught me incredible compassion for others (when I am working with my higher self) I’ve been raped financially and almost psychically a few times, but this position also gave me great discernment and has helped me survive
Heather, you’re awesome! I have Capriconr moon 28. Capricorn chiron 29, and Aquarius sun at 2 all in the 10th house with all our transiting friends. I used to be an energy healer. In 2011 I had an injury and did exactly what the mythical chiron did. I couldn’t heal myself and had to succumb to surgery in 2016. I dont feel like much a healer now. I focus on art but my goal is to make deep imagery that awaken the soul. In 1990, Jupiter was with my sun and that’s when I started doing the healing work professionally. Things are really happening again now but different. I also have 1 Taurus rising so….and now chiron is on my Mars in Aries in the 12th. I’m getting it all.
so my bf’s chiron is 8th house and i was struggling to see how any of the common themes applied to him, cause his biggest wound/trauma was about his divorced parents getting him to lie to the other parent or keep things secret (one secret was that all the money meant to support the kids went on vacations instead), which i then realised is very 8th house!!! I wonder how it will continue to show themes in his life though..because I encourage him to stop the habit of lying
OMG I have Chiron in the 6th house at 26 degrees! Will be 26 Jan 3rd. If you knew my health history your mind would be blown. I know mine is 🤯 Chiron has made astrology move from “likely/ probable ancient theory” to “proven beyond a reasonable doubt” for me. Yes I was born with a congenital birth defect. In my brain even!
Oh wow! Going back and checking some charts of family members, my Aunt has Chiron at 24* Aquarius in the 6th house and that was around the time she had health issues. It shows 1983 as the year and she had problems then and in the spring of ’84 she had a child who had to wear a cast because his legs were out of their sockets. This is so fascinating!!
Good one Heather, your knowledge in this is deep and that’s the result I feel from the age idea. 7th house so angular. 17th degree of Aries so I’m already two hits into my Chiron return at 49, so a data point 2 years younger than the common reference of 51. Healing has been obvious to me in the aftermath of the before and after moment. Alien af what with also Uranus rising with Pluto and Vesta. Now I begin to get back to the things I lost at 17, in a pro band with a good woman who would still be my wife if I didn’t have so much anxious attachment to settle. Still in the bottom of the upswing, but up it goes what with my new drumming gig as gateway to my real powers including all the experience healing myself with inner discipline and alternative methods like Tai Ji.
I have Chiron (6th H with Saturn in Pisces) in a Grand Trine, a kite, and a rectangle with associated trines and sextiles. It is in opposition to my moon Virgo moon (12th H). I don’t recall anything in particular that I’d think of as a wound at the age that would be associated with it at 21. I guess maybe some people didn’t respect me or maybe thought I was stupid because I was a lot younger than anyone else in the circles in which I traveled. Most of the wounds I experienced were inflicted in childhood.
I have Chiron in the 8th house directly on my South node. Also loosely conjunct Mars. I have a very common feeling that I am happy to be alive and that everything and everyone in my life can go away at any time 😶 now im 32 and that feeling doesnt come as often but in my childhood it was there almost everyday
Another proof of Whole House Astrology. Chiron in Aries in my 3rd house. I did not learn how to read or write until 2nd grade and I did not learn how to multiply large numbers until my 7th grade teacher taught me personally. I taught my brother who is younger than me (3rd house sibling) how to read and count before kindergarten. He hated me! But once he got into school he was so grateful and to this day he is grateful that I taught him. I knew how I felt going into school and getting spanked constantly because I could not catch on fast enough. My first grade was HELL! I cried daily and was always sick to my stomach. So, yes, this is proof that Astrology works and the Whole House system works. I did NOT resonate with any of the 2nd house Chiron and that is where Placidus puts my Chiron. Nope. It is in my 3rd.
Wow, my Chiron is in my 3th house at 23°. I always had a bad relationship with my brother and at the age of 23 it got really bad and violent and that same year he got married, moved away and since no longer living together our relationship got so much better. So exactly what you sad, at that age everything regarding 3th house changed for me.
Chiron 8* Aries opposite Uranus. Chiron in is in my 3rd house in Whole house Astrology. I was bullied in grade school and had a very difficult time learning. I didn’t learn to read and write until 2nd grade. Didn’t learn how to multiply large numbers until 5th grade. Plus, I was moving to different schools weekly. I taught my brother to read and count before Kindergarten. His teacher thanked me and was impressed. Aries being 1st house ruler, yep, I have problems with my self image.
Chiron in 4th house. Still not having my own flat or house. Another concern is my relation to roots and family of origin. Sometimes I feel like don’t fit in there at all. Lots of moving during childhood. Chiron squares Ascendant – percieve myself as ugly, last name frequently mispronounced by other people, the wound of belonging. Don’t want to start my own family, indeed. During last years I became antinatalist.
24:43 6th house I have a chirotic kite with 6 objects involved with Chiron the antagonizing planet retrograde in gemini 6th house and mercury the focusing planet conjunct uranus. When I speak many times I inadvertently touch a sore spot in people, also I think when one point is activated the whole kite turns on cus a lot of energy, only sleep a few hours every few days. I think to heal the chiron issues you have to do it the unconventional way, theres no quick fix or supplement for it sometimes.
Chiron was actually not human. He was actually more Olympian than the other centaurs. There are many other centaurs but! Chiron taught healing to all and was a Demi God. Your actually have golden gifts from Chiron on your placement. Un fortunately the real gold/gift comes with your own Chiron Return and living through!! The difficulty which
With respect to the part mythology in the article, the link with astrology is that the ancient Greeks wouldn’t want to give credit to the Arabs and Indians’ knowledge of this matter so they came up with those stories in mythology. If you want to go to the core of almost all science, you have to look up Arab or Indian sources. The bad news is that a great deal of those books have been burned out of jealousy for instance in Spanish Andalusia, but still there are some remains.
I have Chiron in the 4th retro at 20 conjunction my moon in Aries creating opposition to pluto in my 10th and squaring Saturn retro in my 7th. The age thing doesn’t apply to me. I think it’s from a past life although family and home are difficult for me. I think it’s more emotional than physical as 4th is the house of emotions. Any specific meaning when Chiron is retro?
Hello Heather now that the degree Point make sense as far as which age to notice the change if it’s the zero point,( Aries 0°)would that mean past life 🤔 or at incarnation? Can you share which direction to look more into this? I have Chiron in Aries and it’s been going back and forth for a little over the last year. I want to advance to the point where I can help others and I think I have a clue but based on the degree point I need to saw that aspect of the riddle.
