What is the Deathbird weak to?
Deathbird is a powerful creature that is weak to Holy damage, making it difficult to deal damage with Holy Pots or weapons with Holy damage. To combat Deathbird in Ranged or Melee combat, riders should ride Torrent or fight the boss on foot. However, dealing physical damage up close can often result in knockdowns. Spirit Summons are not typically allowed for this fight, but if drawn north up a hill, they can be used. The Deathbird should not despawn if strayed too far from its original spawn location, and if it does, returning to its original location can restart the fight.
How many deathroots to hand over?
Gurranq, a hulking clergyman in the Bestial Sanctum, seeks Deathroot, a product of the Rune of Death, which spread through the Lands Between after the murder of Godwyn the Golden. He consumes Deathroot, but it does not seem to sate him. D, Hunter of the Dead, assists Gurranq in eradicating Deathroot, but passes this duty onto a Tarnished, who brings the Deathroot they find worldwide to Gurranq and is given access to bestial incantations in exchange.
After feeding Gurranq all the Deathroot they can find, he leaves the sanctum and realizes he can no longer do it. When the Tarnished travel to Crumbling Farum Azula to claim the Rune of Death, they encounter Gurranq again. The Tarnished, saddened by Gurranq’s betrayal, attacks the Tarnished to protect the Rune of Death from them. Gurranq is overwhelmed, forcing him to use the Rune of Death to empower himself and reveal his true form as Maliketh, the Black Blade, the shadowbound beast of Queen Marika the Eternal. The Tarnished defeats Maliketh and unleashes the Rune of Death.

The Death Rite Bird drops 230, 000 runes when defeated and can be used to cause Frostbite, an overlooked status effect in the game.
Has anyone beaten Elden Ring with no deaths?
Streamer itzCBD has achieved the record of beating Elden Ring eight times without leveling up or dying, making him the first Elden Ring player to beat the game at level one through every New Game Plus difficulty with zero deaths. This feat is made even more challenging due to the lack of leveling and each NG+ mode’s gradual increase in difficulty. CBD started as a Wretch, Elden Ring’s own version of Dark Souls’ Deprived class, which puts him at a greater disadvantage. He achieved this just in time for Shadow of the Erdtree’s release on June 20, 2024.
How many death roots are in Elden Ring?
Nine Deathroots are collected for Gurranq to snack on, usually from a fight with a Tibia Mariner or at the end of a Catacomb exploration. Each one has Gurranq rewarding the player in a beast-related way. Hunting down Deathroots in Elden Ring is not an exciting activity, but the importance of these locations has risen due to the return of players to Elden Ring in preparation for The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Which boss drops the most runes?
In Elden Ring, players encounter various bosses that drop significant amounts of runes, such as Gideon Ofnir and Loretta. These bosses can pose challenges like crowd control, tricky attacks, and high health pools. Optional bosses like Malenia the Severed and Bayle The Dread offer hefty rewards but tough fights. Progress in Elden Ring can be tough, with difficulty spikes starting with one tricky boss. Players often have to roam around to find stronger places before continuing to tackle the main path.
The open world allows players to face enemies in an order controlled by them, so it’s helpful to know which bosses yield the greatest rewards. The bosses that drop the most runes are ranked in order of their rewards.
Do deathroots transfer to ng+?
The New Game Plus (NG+) system requires players to acquire and empower Great Runes, Key Items related to story progression, Quest Items, Spellbooks, Scrolls, and Prayerbooks, Boss Remembrances, Sites of Grace, Imp Seals, barriers, and certain sending gate teleporters, all Bell Bearings, character cosmetic alteration from the Dragon Communion or Lord of Frenzy Flame questline, and reset all status with NPC characters and their questlines.
These checklists are divided based on what players want to collect or complete before starting their next journey. Some players want to complete every challenge before moving on, while others only want certain items to prepare themselves for NG+. Examples of items include Boss Remembrance Rewards, Weapons, Armor, and Talismans, Dragon Smithing Stones, Larval Tears, Spells and Prayerbooks, Dragon Hearts, and other New Game Plus checklists.
In summary, players must acquire and empower Great Runes, Key Items, Quest Items, Spellbooks, Scrolls, and Prayerbooks, activate Boss Remembrances, re-trigger Sites of Grace, and reseal Imp Seals, barriers, and sending gate teleporters before starting their next journey.

Idk why there are no time stamps so here 😊 00:00 limgrave 1:00 – weeping peninsula 2:02 liurnia of the lakes (south lake side) 2:59 liurnia of the lakes (north lake side) 4:14 caelid (to the north west of the boss there is a grace that you can use that’s closer to it, “southern aeonia swamp bank”) 5:31 Altus Plateau 6:47 mountaintops of the giants (north ish? Kinda near where tibia mariner is if I remember correctly I may be wrong about tibia’s location) 8:42 west mountaintop of the giants (after you use both secret medallions to get to the area or do the skip near a cliff to drop to the area, die and spawn at a stake of marika- you’ll need to search a article on that to get a better explanation to skip the use of the secret medallions)
I cheesed the last one by accident. I climbed on the ledge on the side where the church is hoping to be able to do ranged attacks. He kinda jumped through the ground to get to me. Then he jumped back down. He tried it again and I believe he went through the map and died instantly. Didn’t even get to hit him once. Also thanks for the article. Helped me find 3 I was missing.
I’ve killed quite a few naturally but for two weeks now I’ve been meaning to see if I couldn’t find a guide covering them all. Today I stumbled across a article showing the Sacrificial Axe, checked wiki, obtained it then decided to finally look into finding all the birds. Thank you so much for putting together this article. Now I can rest easy knowing I got, I hope, all the birds.
For anyone who stumbles onto this fight… the bird at the very end of this article is hella tough… I’m level 182, & I walked on some of these death birds, but that last one, I have 62 vigor & one explosive attack the bird has, & its “tell” is kind of garbage, b/c it winds up like its going to do one attack, and then ends up doing the explosive attack. Anyways! ALMOST 1 shot me.. (Miyazaki: where were going we don’t need scaling to make ANY sense)
I found that using Torrent instead of fighting Death Rite Bird on foot drastically made the fight easier.. after like 20+ attempts. I got so fed up that I just fought him aggressively while on my horse, and it made it possible to run away from his ridiculous AOE spell, which I believe is not meant to be dodged, but rather fled from. When you speed charge on torrent, you are actually evading, or at least to some extent. I just charged him whenever he would finish his combos, and then I would run back to maintain some distance. Make sure to get close to him whenever he attempts to do one of those ranged barrage attacks. They are actually a lot easier to dodge when you’re close as opposed to being far away. The fireballs will hit the ground when you’re close, but when you’re far away, they are a lot harder to evade. What a piece of shit trash boss of the highest order. Good riddance.
I don’t know if this helps but i played Elden Ring as a Intelligence Player… So basically all the Death Birds for me weren’t really hard… And mostly just used Comet Azure. So if your having troubles with the last one or the others! I recommend try going Intelligence for it then go back to your usual build! But i’m not saying your current builds are useless against it though… I hope no one finds it that way…
A nice cheese for the Death Bird at Caelid which drops the Death’s Poker (the one shown at 4:15): Teleport to the Church north of the Deathbird; the one where you find Millicent. From there, run towards the Death Bird’s location. You will get to a cliff overlooking the bird. From here, you can hit him with any ranged attack and deal damage, but he won’t be able to hit you with any attack (other than one rare, ranged fire blast… but this is easily avoided). Even if you just started the game, it’s possible to kill him within the first hour. Just buy the basic longbow from the Roundtable and 99 arrows. Aim for the Deathbird’s head and mighty shot until he is dead.
give your mimic a holy weapon he can do it on his own.I make builds for the mimic to solo bosses so fun,You can learn the fight easier that way.Kill them too fast you never learn their move set.I set my tear to heal only.Just had buffs and seals and incants.Because if not he would kill everything.he beat melania was almost dead but did.
How come you didn’t have big ass snowballs or whatever it was dropping on you while you were fighting that bird? This game is such bullshit I gotta fight the bird and in something is dropping snowballs or frost on me or some shit and it will one-shot you what kind of bullshit is it but yet you don’t have any dropping on top of you
