Under The Colts’ Mascot, Who Is?

“Blue” is not just the Colts’ mascot, but also a community ambassador and one of the most recognizable characters in professional sports. Trey Mock, also known as “Blue”, has been perfecting his art as the character since his days at Auburn University, where he romped around as Aubie the tiger. Blue, the anthropomorphic horse mascot of the Indianapolis Colts, gets his name from his blue coat and white mane. He was first introduced in September and has been inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame this summer.

Blue has been the official mascot of the Indianapolis Colts since 2006, and his wife, Karen and Angie, has been cheering for the team since they met while they cheered for the Colts. Children 12 and under are welcome to join Blue in his run around Lucas Oil Stadium following the conclusion of the Colts 5k.

Blue has been named the 2023 NFL Mascot of the Year, making it the third Mascot of the Year award Blue has won since he was introduced in 2006. Mock’s love for the team and his love for animals have made him a beloved figure in the community and at Lucas Oil Stadium.
