Ways To Make Magic Mask Better?

In this video, Juan discusses how to improve the Magic Mask tool in DaVinci Resolve for better results. The Magic Mask is a Studio-only feature in Resolve 17 and can be used for various tasks such as color grading, subject cutting, and compositing. It is quick, flexible, and provides great results without the need for a green screen or manual adjustments.

The Magic Mask can be used with other forms of masking for greater control over your image. To fix the Magic Mask feature, move your original stroke by temporarily jacking up the levels and exaggerating brightness and color in an extra node. Upgrading to Resolve 17 requires updating your project database, which is irreversible and cannot be downgraded.

To get precise masks quickly, combine Color Page and Fusion tools. Use AI powered object and person masks with Fusion Paint and Roto. This video also shows how to use the Qualifier key with Power Window to combine a Qualifier key with Power Window.

In conclusion, improving the Magic Mask tool in DaVinci Resolve is essential for achieving better results. However, upgrading to Resolve 17 will require updating your project database, which may contain bugs. Using the Magic Mask in conjunction with other masking techniques can provide greater control over your images and make the process faster and easier for advanced color grading.

And how do i disable or unrender or whats the best way to stop it from slowing my project if it does that … 2.
