Were Bat Spells Nerfed?

The Bat Spell nerf in Clash of Clans has caused debate and a balancing of the spell. The Bat Spell is the 5th Dark Spell unlocked at level 5 Dark Spell Factory, summoning several Bats on the battlefield over time. In the A Tier, there are various spell choices for damage, including Chaos Barrage, Breath of Sindragosa, Shattered Frost, and Enduring Strength.

The nerf has reduced the number of spawned Bats at all levels, and bats from Bat Spells cloned by Clone Spell now deal reduced damage to storages and Town Hall. Fireball and rocket have been nerfed, leaving poison as the best option for spell cycling. Direct spells have been hit too hard in this edition, but everything else is still solid for mages.

Spirits have also been increased, with 1-2 lightning strikes destroying altars and 20 of the base inside. It is not recommended to upgrade a spell that was likely to be nerfed when stable meta troops like bowlers, witches, and Stone Slammer can be upgraded.

SuperCell has announced a balancing of the Bat Spell, which could potentially increase its power compared to other spell choices. The debate continues, with some praising SuperCell for their efforts in addressing the issue.

What is the level 5 Bat Spell?

The Bat Spell is a Dark Elixir Spell that generates an army of bats on the battlefield. The Dark Spell Factory must be upgraded to level 5 in order to unlock the Bat Spell. This process requires the player to have reached Town Hall level 10. Bats are swift, low-health troops that target defensive structures exclusively and only engage with other buildings when all defensive measures have been neutralized.

What is the best use of Bat Spell?

The Bat Spell is the 5th Dark Spell unlocked at level 5 Dark Spell Factory, summoning several Bats on the battlefield over time. These Bats prioritize defensive structures and will bypass enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. They do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense, but do consider the defending Grand Warden and the activated Town Hall weapon as defensive buildings.

Once all defenses are destroyed, Bats become like any other troop with no preferred target. They will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby. They will not switch targets to enemy units until their previous target was destroyed. Bats spawned from the Bat Spell deal less damage to resource storages, particularly Town Hall’s Giga Tesla and Giga Inferno, as they are classified as a defense and a resource storage.

The Bats also relate to the Builder Base troop, also known as the Night Witch. The Night Witch spawns Bats that relate to the Bats in the Bat Spell, but they attack any target. If the Lava Hound gets targeted by an Air Bomb, the resulting explosion from the traps will destroy the bats if nearby.

Is the Bat Spell good coc?

Bats in Clash of Clans have a powerful offensive and defensive strategy. They can be used to attack multiple times, using Bat Spells to quickly penetrate defenses. They can also be used to cover troops by distracting and clearing defenses, but often need to cover themselves due to their low hitpoints. Freeze Spells are necessary to stop splash or multi-targeting defenses, as Bats will be killed quickly.

To counterattack, destroy Wizard Towers, Inferno Towers, Scattershots, Giga Tesla, Giga Inferno, and Air Bombs, as well as fast hit speeds like Archer Towers, X-Bow, and Hidden Teslas. Bats resemble the common vampire bat species in Clash of Clans, which attacks by biting their enemies while they are sleeping.

The Bat from the Bat Spell has the second highest Movement Speed from any troop in the game, with 56. Bats spawned from the Bat Spell are slower than those spawned by the Night Witch. Their appearance does not change when the Bat Spell is upgraded, and they do not leave upon-death skeletons. Bats’ death sound is not unique, but they have unique sounds when summoned and attacking.

Who is the most powerful COC?

Dragons and P. E. K. K. A. s are the strongest troops in standard Barracks, making their combined attack powerful. To use this attack, train 5 Dragons and 4 P. E. K. K. A. s, fill extra housing spaces with Archers or another Dragon / P. E. K. K. A., deploy P. E. K. K. A. s in pairs of 2, and spread Dragons around the P. E. K. K. A. side of the base. Bring two Rage Spells and a Heal Spell, and use Jump Spells for P. E. K. K. A. s.

The Balloonion strategy is popular for Town Halls 7-10 due to its low cost and effectiveness in destroying bases. It uses at least 20 Balloons and the rest Minions as a meat shield to protect Minions. Bring Rage and Heal Spells, as Balloons are slow and can be quickly shot down by Air Defenses.

The Lava Loon Ion is similar to the Balloonion attack but adds Lava Hounds. Replace some Balloons and Minions with 2-3 Hounds and perform the same steps as the Balloonion attack, deploying Lava Hounds first to take out Air Defenses. This raid is important for Town Hall 9+ players, and requires max or near max level Balloons with extreme HP and DPS. Spells include Rage and Heal Spells, or a Freeze Spell for Town Hall 10 players.

Level 5 Death is a powerful ability in Final Fantasy V that can be learned from various sources, including Page 64, Level Checker, Azulmagia, Executor, Enuo, and Level Tricker. It ignores resistance to Death and the Heavy flag, restores the undead to full HP, and costs 22 MP to cast. (Image Source: Pixabay.com)

What is the Rage Spell level 7?

The Rage Spell is a powerful spell that boosts the movement speed and damage of friendly troops and heroes by creating a translucent purple ring on the battlefield. It lasts 18 seconds and has a reduced effect on Heroes, only granting 50 of its damage and speed boosts. The spell is not affected by Siege Machines. Once a troop leaves the area or if the duration expires, the rage effect wears off until another Rage Spell is cast. The damage increase is additive, meaning troops under the influence of a level 1 Rage Spell do 130 more damage than those without.

The Rage Spell is less effective when placed on low-damaging troops like Archers, as they do less damage compared to higher-damaging troops like Wizards. Druids can also perform the same effect but with higher healing, best used to heal the main army when they reach high-damaging areas of the base.

  • I really think its a matter of base design. Its strong but against bases trying to defend bats it just opens it up for the more traditional qw/charge or bowitch type attacks. Speed maybe the way id nerf if i had to. They are very fast but other than that i think the answer is base design. Thx for the vid!

  • couple of suggestions I think they could change could be bat speed dependant on spell level creating slower moving bats, they might take away bats targeting defences and have them attack nearest buildings instead, or as yourself and others have suggested bigger housing space and bat ratio reshuffled

  • They should not nerf the bat spell. In the past, Supercell nerfed other troops/spells, that were amazingly strong, and many players stopped playing. Supercell is trying to make the game popular again, but I feel it’s gonna ruin the game again. Supercell needs to learn from the their past mistakes they did, if they are ever gonna try and make c.o.c. fun again. Thanks for listening judo, keep up your amazing vlogs.

  • Bats nerf could be one of these : 1-Reducing bats number which is probably the one . 2- reducing the time of bats spawning which i think will change how it works . Like reducing the time of spawning between bat to bat or as my sister suggest ” make them spawn like groups with even more time between groups ” 3- as u said making them target air bombs as minions but thier fast movment + heste will save them from it for a short time to take some other deffances before the air bomb take them down . 4- make them unaffected to other spells inclouding rage of coures . For me i see #2 and #4 the best way to try nerf bat spell with . But i always know that supercell will do the best in balancing it. Great attacks ❤ Have a nice day 🌹

  • My idea would be that they make the bats attack anything instead of just defenses. That way it can still be used in the same manner, but they will get a lot less collateral damage. They could be deployed in the middle of a base to knockout some air defenses and an eagle or an inferno, but when they spread out, they won’t make it as far because they will be hitting storages and gold mines. Also, this makes it a little bit more risky because it could activate the town hall. Also, it wouldn’t be as easy to drop a lot of bat spells behind a wall of dragons or lava hounds becuase the bats will be working on trash buildings and not just defenses. I would also say it might not be a bad idea to have the bats trigger traps, but then they could easily be used to trigger air traps before a lavaloon or edrag attack. Same could be said for luring clan castle troops. It could prevent someone from starting the attack with 6-7 bat spells, but it would make it very easy for someone to lure a CC.

  • Judo, I think as base design changes will correct the bat spell . It has brought dragons back as a viable attack at higher TH levels, very nice to see. I have used drag bat myself and it’s not a 3 Star guarantee by any means. People are using it because it is strong but also because it is new. When Electro Drags first came out, we saw a lot attacks with them and now they have leveled off. Making wizard towers a bit stronger would also curb some bat spell usage. Thanks for another great vid

  • I think the issue with the bat spell is that the initial first attack is way too fast. If the first attack speed was reduced to the speed of a minion (e.g. lock on and first shot fired) it would make them more susceptible to splash damage and faster firing defenses. IMO, this would nerf them enough that they couldn’t be used on any base layout but would still be effective against bases with lobsided splash and AD placement etc.
