What is my element by birth?
Astrology has used the concept of classical elements since antiquity, with Western and Sidereal astrology using four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. In Western tropical astrology, there are 12 astrological signs, each associated with three Zodiac signs located 120 degrees away along the ecliptic. Modern astrologers use these four classical elements extensively, also known as triplicities, and consider them a critical part of interpreting the astrological chart.
The cycle of astrological signs begins with Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, and finally Cancer, and ends with Pisces. The elemental rulerships for the twelve astrological signs of the zodiac are summarized by Marcus Manilius. The four classical elements are essential in interpreting the astrological chart and are considered triplicities in modern astrology.
Which element is the most dominant?
Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe, followed by helium, and all others are orders of magnitude less common. The Table of Nuclides, or Segrè plot, shows that the lightest 16 elements, hydrogen through sulfur, comprise 99. 9% of the ordinary matter. This is because the majority of ordinary matter (99. 4% in the Solar System) contains an equal number of protons and neutrons. However, when nucleons combine to form stable nuclides, they combine in a ratio of one part proton to one part neutron in 99.
4% of ordinary matter. This structural basis of the equality of nucleon numbers in baryonic matter is one of the simplest and most profound unsolved mysteries of the atomic nucleus. The abundance of the lightest elements is well predicted by the standard cosmological model, as they were mostly produced shortly after the Big Bang through Big Bang nucleosynthesis, while heavier elements were produced later inside stars.

Thank you for many great and useful articles! I lack Air the most, have 2: North Node AND my Gemini Sun! I got tears rolling down when I heard lack of Air need to socialise more… It felt spot on and that is the one thing I struggle with in life, but I do take myself out of the comfortzone sometimes. : ) (Capricorn Moon, Leo Rising)
I’m dominant in Earth & Fire, lack Air but have absolutely no knowledge of any Water placements…and yet surprisingly, my Virgo stellium makes up quite nicely for the lack of air since my communication is ruled by my own ruling planet. Meanwhile my fire appears as either dominance over my emotions or a “let hell break loose” attitude with my emotions so…my creativity actually stems from this, translating into poetry that’s passionate yet dramatic. I don’t always feel the need to write out my emotions, but when I DO..everybody knows I’m pretty much spilling tea💯
Thank you for this wonderful article! I am dominant earth capricorn with dominant planet mars (traditional)/ for modern i am also dom earth capricorn with dom planet in uranus. 🙂 I lack in water element but it’s funny that I have a lot of empathy towards other people. Probably because I’m a scorpio in sun in 12th house. (This is my only water sign in my natal 😂)
