I was raised in the church, never missed a sunday, read the bible front n back n I love it its a beautiful helpful book. Ursula, I was raised Catholic, partly in Ireland where my mother was born – in fact, I enjoy listening to you as your voice takes me back to simpler and happier times! I am now a minister of metaphysics and a semi-retired spiritual counsellor and holistic health practitioner, and never understood why people would think those like me would be against Jesus. In a friend’s bible all the words of Jesus were in red, and on reading through it I saw him as a spiritual leader more than anything else. I used to live in a city that had a spiritual church at which I would give a sermon occasionally – all were welcome no matter what their background or beliefs, and it was a place of safety and no judgement for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning. What I did see was a belief, whether they thought he was the son of God or not, that Jesus was as I saw him. I do hope that you will continue to talk to us on this website – you have a beautiful energy about you, and I see and hear a wise and kind spirit. On reading through the comments I don’t see you losing followers! You may wish to set aside the cards, but I hope that you continue to share your journey, and your wisdom and insight with us here.

As a Christian, I’m so happy for you! I read Tarot as a way to talk to God, but most Christians do not like/believe in tarot, so I get it. I pray for you on your journey, and my hope is that you experience the full love, presence, and power of God in your life, and that God provides for you as you make such big decisions in your life.
True, the power of the Holy Spirit erases the need for tarot. I do feel the cards are just another way of finding God’s message. And astrology is a system created by God, as there is order in it. You can open a bible and find a message for you, see a sign on the street or read cards. As long as you’re in the right energy/connected to God to do so. I think 2020 taught me and gave all of us a chance to reevaluate the way we move/do/live/think in the world. I know I definitely came out of 2020 with the deep intention to do my life differently. I walked a similar journey; raised Christian on my mother’s side and my father was Buddhist. I went to private Christian school and I was traumatized by the church so I chose to leave as a teenager, the studied and practised yoga, Buddhist meditation, and then later shamanic medicine. Then in my early 30’s Jesus came to me in a dream. It was undeniable and since then I returned to church but this time as an adult, worked through all the baggage around the religion and for the past four years or so I came to understand the essence of Christ consciousness and Christian spirituality. Through genetic testing I discovered I have indigenous heritage and so have always resonated with more feminine earth based spirituality. Being multi faith I honour all the paths that have led me to truth; I love Jesus and my heart is His, and yet I have discovered this path and his message and example are not mutually exclusive from the spiritual practises that I have cultivated over the years. You just have to find the link, connect the dots. I’ve so appreciated your She Bear readings and will miss that. I hope you share some of your journey because there will be people who resonate. I had that feeling, going past what is condoned in the church, being raised conservative Christian, and I felt the sadness at having to leave others, who I felt would not accept me. It gives the impression that you now view those things as bad or “unholy”, rather than something that can still help you on your journey. Dearest Ursula, It takes great courage and faith to not only take the path you are taking, but to share it in the way you have. I don’t know your spiritual background, but I hope sharing mine can be of some use to you and/or anyone who may be reading. I grew up in close relationship with Jesus of my own volition, and I remain so today. When you ask Jesus into your heart, he never leaves—and that’s not a curse; it’s the greatest love of all. My family and community ostensibly rejected religiosity, for which I continue to be grateful. But the restriction of thought and expression which comes with organized Christianity (yet biblically doesn’t hold up) eventually led me down a different path. This journey away from the church led me first through the gnostic scriptures. It was truly transformative for me to see Jesus—the man who I had known intrinsically all along yet who never quite added up to what I was taught—leap from the pages; inspire me; challenge me in an intensely profound way. I opened my mind to astrology, tarot, and other “occult” sciences—practices which are continually interpreted to be “incompatible” with Jesus Christ. However, never once did I experience the incompatibility. Furthermore, close scriptural study uncovered incontrovertible affirmation of these practices. Each field I have encountered has only served to deepen my awe and wonder, only further solidified my personal relationship with him. As you take your own unique journey, I pray you remain balanced in your approach, not “throwing the baby out with the bath water”.

I’m so sorry to hear about your disc issues. On March 25 I was in a car accident with a bus. The bus sideswiped me. June 30 I had surgery I found out that I had a 14 mm crack along my lowers on my disc. I also had nerve surgery to reconnect the nerves because I had severe damage. I have five more months to go to heal that will be an entire year. I’m doing physical therapy I know what pain is I can’t sleep on my back. Having problems sleeping on both sides as well I’ve discover that I have bursitis. I truly understand your pain. Sending healing blessings and prayers. 🙏🙏🙏

Best of luck on your journey, and so glad you’re no longer in such pain. I can relate to both of those things. 4 years ago I had excruciating nerve pain in my right leg stemming from my back. I ended up in surgery. Now, I am getting ready to launch a virtual business, sell my house and live a nomadic lifestyle. It’s unknown and scary, but I am certain it’s the right path for me right now. I started my day with the goal of trying to understand what you and Varg are trying to say. And I don’t mean to be mean but it often seems quite ‘silly’, that (to me) you’re seeing patterns that aren’t necessarily anything. But that’s beside the point for now because this article has already served a good purpose and that’s the following: I saw the images of Gavrinis and honestly I had never seen it before. And actually to be frank I had no idea that such things resided in OUR beautiful Europe (and honestly when I think back a few years I could not have imagined the MARVELOUS things that are within our borders, things that I have found out about now), and thus I started looking it up. And now already I’ve spent the entire day researching Dolmens and I’m astonished that these things were built only 5000 years ago. Something that is now circling round in my head is ‘is there research on the bodies they’ve found there and who these people were and how WE relate to them?’, would love to know if you do! So many questions, so much beauty. And I thank you that with the first image of your article you have sent me down another amazing path of discovery!

I want your opinion on the Hallow-Evening date, Marie. What day do you think New Year’s Day occurred? I’ve created several calendars, each based on a different hypothesis. So far, October 29 makes the most sense, because it calibrates the celebrated winter solstice with the astronomical one. I’m not sure how to determine the summer solstice precisely, nor if it’s possible to know the exact equinoctes, but the burial mounds enable us to determine the astronomical Winter Solstice indeed occurs on December 21 (the 25th day of Himinnbjorg). It seems to be that the Winter Solstice was the most important day of the Pagan year, because it was seen as the day for the rebirth of a dead forebear. I also have an idea: that once the solstice advances by one day, to make THAT day the Leap Day in order to recalibrate the Pagan calendar (and to keep the solstice on December 21 “on paper”), instead of automatically awarding an extra day just because four years pass. That way, you don’t have to skip Leap Day every 100 years, fall a day behind every 512 years because we insist on our days being exactly 24.0000000 hours, or have winter happen in summer after using the current calendar for 10-15,000 years. Seconds and minutes are man-made (and perhaps so are hours). But counting days from sunset to sunset and years from winter solstice to solstice seems like what our European forefathers were doing. Just my opinions, though – so nobody arrest me for “impersonating a scientist”.

Maintenant, ce que je pensais, est: Si le contenu de nos rêves sont identiquement avec notre inconscience, cela ne signifie pas que l’apprentissage comment obtenir des rêves lucides et les contrôler serait un très bon moyen d’identifier qui vous étiez et de retrouver des souvenirs, Ou même trouver votre vrai nom? Que pensez-vous de cela? Je pense que l’histoire d’Ódinn se pendant pendant neuf nuits à Yggdrasil sans boire et manger et être blessé est une très bonne description de cela, car une façon d’obtenir des rêves lucides est la paralysie du sommeil: vous vous couchiez, arrêtez de bouger et laissez votre corps S’endormir tout en gardant votre esprit réveillé. Le cerveau prouve si vous êtes encore éveillé en faisant votre corps démangeaisons ou vous faire sentir mal à l’aise, mais vous devez l’ignorer et pas vous gratter ou passer à une autre position plus confortable.
Oh I shouldn’t forget that in my research I came upon ‘Newgrange’ or ‘ Brú na Bóinne’ (In Irish) which definitely gave me some real reason to think that our ancestors 5000 years ago saw the winter solstice as a rebirthing. Almost as if to wake up their ancestors. Now THAT’S some convincing material right there. Could it be that that’s the earliest evidence we have of the Yule celebration?

Plus au nord, vous avez le Rocher de Tombelaine et lorsque la mer se retire, le paysage donne lieu à des ramifications et puis la marée remonte et encercle l’île du Mont Saint-Michel donnant lieu à un “déluge”,”une perte des eaux”. Belenos-Baldr-Apollon naît à cette occasion je suppose. Le placement de ce sanctuaire et la déité choisi n’est pas dû au hasard ?

To wash oneself, the house etc. There are a few substances you can use to create soap, but I know only of one Northern plant that can; juniper. (The rest are to be found in Asia) I assume you have some awareness of this. Unrelated, have you observed this phenomenon “ASMR,” could it have anything to do with autism and the Neanderthal – or some tribal, shamanic element?
