I love this!!! I love that you gave a step by step on how to actually shuffle and draw the cards – I remember when I first started with tarot, I was SO lost on how to actually use it, and no one seemed to be giving that step by step guide!! One thing I would add (based on how I use my deck) is that if you’re someone who believes in energy, and objects having their own energy, then you can “converse” with your tarot deck! I view that as two forces working with the universe to find some answer; me and the deck. Because shuffling the deck also comes out to pure “chance” you can also ask any guides/angels/whatever you believe in or believe you have to intervene and help with the cards. Personally I noticed a HUGE difference after I started talking to my deck 😅 So, just giving my two cents on it!!

I kind of see the cards the same way but i also believe in it as a spirit as well, i believe when i invoke just the deck im calling on the decks spirit and my higher self to gain wisdom that my earthly self cant see, but other times when i invoke the gods im getting divine wisdom that truly can sometimes tell the future (however never a set future, just the future we are creating through our actions at that point in time. We have the power to change any future we see in the cards) and seeing so many people who are from the Christian path coming around to tarot makes me so so happy. I was always told to not purchase my own tarot deck. I borrowed my mother’s cards until a deck naturally came to me. I had a deck arrive in a goddess provisions box. It was fascinating how I manifested it without asking anyone for it to be gifted to me. There are also tarot card applications that pull cards for you. I’m not sure how the algorithm works but it’s fun to use it digitally when you can’t carry a deck with you.

I usually use tarot for guidance It’s like the guidance counselor I always needed but sometimes I really do get messages from spirit that warns me about what’s to happen sometimes and I do connect with whoever is wants my best interest at heart to guide me…. I can tell by how the interpretation makes me feel… if it makes me feel crappy about myself then it’s a bad spirit and I need to take a break and if the energy feels good I continue. So, I’m a guy that was raised really evangelical Christian. I at first bought tarot cards to annoy my family cause they say that it’s demonic. So I wanted to, as the only non-believer, to try it. I thought I might get smited but I was happy just to find some good advice. I got 8 of swords reversed, 10 of cups, and a reversed knight of wands in the past present and future set up. We all feel the wish to be guided through our lifes, to have faith in sth. bigger than our mind to rest our faith in. But cards do seem like an absurd choice for that. I suggest starting with an authentic Aquarian. so the pictures tell the story of the meaning. also it;s best not to do your own reading unless its a divination especially with major arcane only. Just got may tarot cards today… and followed your advice to shuffle and get one card to guide me… before i tell you what card it is, i will tell you what happened a few days ago that really picqued my interest on tarot reading… just a few days ago, some thing came up regarding a certain tarot card on my facebook feed. For the past few months ive been really despondent and tended to procastinate all my plans for my future.. until i saw that card. So i was interested on what it meant and when it randomly pop out of my feed.. searched in google. Searched some article tutorials in youtube on how to read tarot cards and yours came out first. I ordered a set of tarot cards from our local bookstore (fully booked) and was checking it out everyday to see the delivery status of my order. And just today i got my very first set of tarot cards… In my heart, i prayed and wished. In my mind, i tried to remember your advice. And then shuffled my tarot cards without expecting anything of what the card may be… And then… boom! ** Ace of wands ** i picked the ace of wands!!! I mean, what is the meaning of this? Is this the universe telling me to follow that fire?
Just FYI, you can choose not to read the cards in the reverse position. I used to and now think it’s unnecessary because there are more than enough cards in the deck with varying reasons to cover any situation. If you choose to read only right side up, have the confidence to believe the card you need to see will show up. 😉 If any reversed cards are cast, simply turn them. around.

your first deck should be purchased by someone! its very cool- my best friend and i purchased and gifted eachother our decks and we are so connected to the deck, whenever we read eachother we always draw similar cards and sometimes the same cards! during our first reading by another tarot loving friend we both drew queen of cups, and i think we are that for eachother. crazy! Interestingly, a few weeks back I decided to get my own Tarot deck. I went to Barnes and Noble and asked where the “new age” section is (that’s what it was called last time I was in a bookstore, thanks Amazon) And the helper said “you mean like news and current events?” I said “no, like witchcraft.” Another nearby helper said. “oh, its right there behind you.” I said “great, I just need to pick up a Tarot deck.” She said “why don’t you take this one?” (still in her hands) “I just picked it up in another section of the store, I find there seems to be some strange significance when the Tarot Decks are misplaced.” The deck she handed me is the Everyday Tarot, the same índigo/gold deck from BiddyTarot. And. Considering that not only am I an “Indigo” but Indigo and gold are my favorite colors. I was well pleased with the deck. Of course it speaks random nonsense as often As it gives a a coherent message. And I’m still waiting for many of its predictions to come to pass.
I love Colette Baron Reid’s cards… they are so beautifully made and a reasonable price, they all come with a beautiful little guide book explaining every card, explaining how to use them and different readings and then example readings so you can kind of learn how they work. You should check them out. I have “The Good Tarot” which is probably my favourite so far. They are all positive, and they are all affirmations that your spirit needs, things you need to say to yourself at that time to connect with spirit and get through something or move forward or embrace something etc. I also have her “Enchanted Map” which is a really great one too. The animal one is my next purchase… they are so so so beautiful.

I love reading cards upright and reversed. When a card is reversed look at the image, and see if what is happening, in the card, changes due to its orientation. Is something that was, for example, held in a cup, now falling away, or spilling out? Or does the energy still hold firm despite being reversed? You can think of a reversed card as being a lighter, or less straight forward version of the energy of the card. So it is the card “lite” like kind of like a lite beer, not exactly, but consider that dynamic as a starting point. Cards that can be difficult, like the tower, or the Devil are less intense and usually the dynamic is initiated by you, rather than happening to you, when it is reversed. Tower vs Tower lite!
This is the same deck I just picked up. I was thinking of starting back up, been years since my old deck was trashed by someone… and I went to TJMAXX just to have a browse around and it was the only deck there sitting on a decorative end cap kinda out of place. I looked all over the store to see if they had more but this was the only one I could find. It was like calling out to me lol. I loved it immediately and didn’t even see what it looked like on the inside til I got home. So pretty I just love them!
I was debating if I should do tarot. I picked a deck that I liked and then it sold out. Fast forward to months later and I was looking into spiritual books and I found this cute one that reminded me of the tarot deck. So I searched for the deck and it was now available again. I’m so sure my deck that’s coming was meant for me💖✨
I did a first reading for myself and got the ace of cups reversed, resumed short it was about bottling up my emotions and that i have to give myself an opportunity to love me first and then after the rest of the world, i teared up a little because im struggling with myself and how i feel and i even been seeing a psychiatrist, it really surprised me how accurate that was.
I JUST picked up my very first tarot card deck this morning, went on google to look up how to use them, clicked on this random article after scrolling through the list and without reading the title I clicked this article. this is the exact same tarot deck I bought this morning. didn’t even look at the photo or anything just picked this article randomly? weird?
I hope this doesnt sound odd. But for judt about a month or so I feel like I have something stuvk in my throat n cough .
