Chakras, or “wheels”, are spiritual energy centers in Hinduism and Buddhism, with seven main ones situated along the spine. They are believed to have mental and physical health benefits, including reducing stress and easing anxiety. The Sudarshana Chakra, a whirling wheel-like disc, is the divine weapon of Vishnu, one of the principal chakras.
Chakras are historically associated with ancient India, Tibetan Buddhism, and other faiths. They are believed to impact health, self-expression, and reality perception. The root chakra is located between the perineum and lower spine. Chakras are not mentioned specifically in the Bible, but they may be superstitions in line with belief in dragons or homeopathy.
In Buddhism, each of the seven major chakras (in Buddhism, four) is associated with a specific color, shape, sense organ, natural element, deity, and more. Yoga postures, breathing practices, and meditation are ways to unblock your chakras. Chakras have roots in Hinduism, the world’s oldest religion, and are often associated with religious visions and spiritual awakening.
In conclusion, chakras are a complex concept that has been studied from a biblical perspective, with their origins in ancient India and Tibetan Buddhism. By understanding the energy and spiritual significance of these centers, individuals can work towards a more balanced and harmonious life.

What religion believes God is energy?
Panentheism is a philosophical belief that the universe is filled with Divine Presence, an all-encompassing Energy that encompasses all of Creation, including all creatures, both visible and hidden. This Energy, or Spirit, is both universal and intimate, and in theological language, Spirit/God is both transcendent and immanent. This paradox is mediated by the embrace of Jesus’ fully human divinity and the outpouring of Spirit onto all humankind after his physical death. This infusion of Spirit Energy reunites and relates us not only to the Divine but also to one another and the universe.
Our intimate relationship with the Spirit Energy creates kinship between us and everything that exists. This kinship responsibility implies a responsibility to ensure that everything thrives, not just in our own backyard but in everywhere, not just the Things that serve us and our needs. This responsibility extends to the places we love and inhabit, not just the Things that serve us and our needs.
In conclusion, panentheism emphasizes the importance of the Divine Energy and Spirit in our understanding of the cosmos and the universe.
What religion uses chakra stones?
Chakra stones, originating from Tantric Hindu and Buddhist practices, are gemstones that balance the energy centers of the body, allowing optimal function of associated organs or glands. They can be blocked by illness or stress, leading to healing practices that can clear or realign them. Chakra healing can also provide relief from physical conditions, such as Reiki, an ancient Japanese technique that uses the universal energy Qi.
Can Christians do meditation?
Meditation is a crucial spiritual discipline for Christians, as it helps shape their thoughts, character, and actions. In the Old Testament, Psalm 145, a poem about God’s character and works, encourages meditation on God’s attributes and actions. This practice shapes a person’s thoughts, character, and actions. Psalm 1 and Psalm 119 also call for meditation on Scripture. Psalm 1 explains that regular meditation on the Bible will nourish the soul and help resist sin, indicating human flourishing.
In the New Testament, passages like Philippians 4:4-9, Colossians 3:1-3, Romans 8:5-7, Hebrews 3:1, and Hebrews 12:2 encourage Christians to focus their minds on God and his plans, aligning their thoughts, emotions, and actions with God’s purposes. These passages also encourage believers to focus on Jesus, filling them with hope and enabling them to emulate him. The writers of these New Testament passages emphasize that a person’s thoughts determine their future, making meditation a critical spiritual discipline for followers of Jesus.
Are chakras religious?
Chakras are spiritual concepts found in various religions and alternative health practices. They are believed to be energy wheels that mark intersections of life force. Mastering these chakras is part of a spiritual enlightenment quest in Hinduism. Although there is no scientific evidence supporting their role in health, practices like yoga and meditation can help balance or unblock chakras, potentially affecting various health conditions.
What does God say about chakras?
The Bible does not explicitly mention the chakras or energy, which may seem like a cause for concern. However, it is important to note that the Bible is not the only source of information about God’s creation. It also shares God’s promises in the world. The Bible was not intended to be an exhaustive text describing the intricacies of God’s creation. However, we can find concepts like the “breath of life” in Genesis 2:7, which refers to the vital life force or life-giving energy. This highlights the importance of considering the Bible as the Word of God and not as an exhaustive description of God’s creation.
What does the Bible say about energies?
The speaker evinces pride in their faith, asserting that they will serve as living proof of their dedication to Christ’s altar, even if they are executed. Furthermore, they express a desire for others to share in their joy, stating that they do not feel sorry for them, regardless of their actions.
What religion do chakras stem from?
The term chakra, derived from the Hindu/Yoga tradition, refers to psychoenergetic centers in the subtle or nonphysical human body (lingadeha) discovered in ancient India. These centers move in a circular manner, funneling universal energy into the human energy system. The ancient Upanishads, dating back to the seventh century BCE, mention an esoteric human anatomy composed of subtle life energy or prana, consisting of 72, 000 nadis or channels. The Maitri Upanishad (6.
21) mentions the Sushumna channel, central to Kundalini Yoga philosophy and practice, as well as the chakras. The Upanishads also describe five elements – earth, water, fire, air, and ether – associated with this subtle body. Meditation and its practices are central to the Vedanta philosophy and practice, as described in Adiswarananda’s meditation guide and Avalon’s book on serpent power.
Do Buddhists believe in chakras?
Chakras are esoteric ideas and concepts about physiology and psychic centers that emerged across Indian traditions. The belief held that human life exists in two parallel dimensions: the physical body (sthula sarira) and the psychological, emotional, mind, non-physical (sukshma sarira). The subtle body is energy, while the physical body is mass. The psyche or mind plane corresponds to and interacts with the body plane, and the body and the mind mutually affect each other.
The subtle body consists of nadi (energy channels) connected by nodes of psychic energy called chakra. The number of major chakras varied between various traditions, but typically ranged between four and seven. The important chakras are stated in Hindu and Buddhist texts to be arranged in a column along the spinal cord, from its base to the top of the head, connected by vertical channels.
The belief in the chakra system of Hinduism and Buddhism differs from the historic Chinese system of meridians in acupuncture. The chakra relates to the subtle body, wherein it has a position but no definite nervous node or precise physical connection. The tantric systems envision it as continually present, highly relevant, and a means to psychic and emotional energy.
These ideas are not unique to Hindu and Buddhist traditions, but they have overlapping concepts in other cultures in the East and West, known as subtle body, spirit body, esoteric anatomy, sidereal body, and etheric body.
Can Christians practice Reiki?
As Reiki’s popularity rises, many Christians are embracing this healing art to express compassion, relieve suffering, and connect with God. This laying on hands technique, similar to Jesus’ practice, is particularly appealing. This site aims to answer questions about Reiki and provide a platform for Christians practicing to share their ideas and experiences. The website was created by Christians who practice Reiki. The goal is to create a closer connection with God and promote understanding of the healing art.
Are chakras scientifically true?
Chakras, or energy centers, are believed to be vital centers of energy in all humans, according to yoga and New Age practices. These energy vortexes, not visible to the human eye, are essential for our development and health. Karla Helbert, a licensed counselor, yoga therapist, and author of The Chakras in Grief and Trauma, views them as invisible energy organs with functions that impact all parts of the whole.
Can Christians do Reiki?
New ideas and changes in the world often challenge our spiritual lives, often impacting our religious values and beliefs. Christians who take their spiritual lives seriously often gather information, think about it, and pray for guidance before deciding how to incorporate new thoughts or practices into their daily lives. This is a spiritually mature way to deal with such situations.
Christian churches have a long tradition of adopting practices that enhance their members’ spiritual lives based on examples of Jesus’ actions described in the Bible. These practices include music, liturgy, silence, inspired prayer, worship on Saturdays and Sundays, dance, baptizing by emersion, honoring saints, and seeking angelic experiences. In Christian worship, the cross is the focus, complemented by candles, music, prayer beads, bells, incense, and other ritual items.
As Christians seek ways to increase and strengthen their spiritual moments, many have adopted practices to develop the “Gifts of the Spirit”, which include speaking wisdom, knowledge, and the power to heal. Paul describes people within the church having roles as apostles, prophets, teachers, miracle-performers, healers, those who direct others, and those who speak in strange tongues.
In conclusion, while many Christians find Reiki to be a spiritually fulfilling practice, it is not necessarily for everyone. Different Christian groups incorporate various methods to follow the teachings of the Bible and come closer to God.

be aware the enemy uses the word to test Jesus in the desert into temptation, and fails … Ephesian 5 Living in God’s Light 6Don’t be fooled by those who speak their empty words and deceptive teachings telling you otherwise. This is what brings God’s anger upon the rebellious! 7Don’t listen to them or live like them at all. 8Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! 9And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth. 10Then you will learn to choose what is beautiful to our Lord. 11And don’t even associate with the servants of darkness because they have no fruit in them; instead, reveal truth to them. 12The very things they do in secret are too vile and filthy to even mention. 13Whatever the revelation-light exposes, it will also correct, and everything that reveals truth is light to the soul.
I’m a Christian.. Born again.. Devoted. For some reason I’ feel a strong need for me to understand these things. For a lack of a better word.. I’m battling with the sharkra in the mid tummy solar plexus sakra. It’s like a strong feeling and some times annoyingly painful in most cases i can sense the Spritual surroundings and auras like negative energy or when someone is in deep pain. .its almost like the pain is in me. Its not a pleasant feeling at all but over the years I’ve learnt to pray every time I feel it. Its almost like I can feel others in me. Praying in the Spirit.. Tounges helps a lot but I would also would have loved to understand this better… It’s definitely not pleasant.
So i get visions from God one of them he showed me how my spirit wasnt in alignment. He showed me the seven colours and they were scattered all over the place. Another time i was struggling with forgiveness because of something bad done to me. I told God im sorry and then he showed me green chakra in my minds eye and i felt a peace. My heart was healing because i wanted to forgive i felt alot better and lighter. My heart was blocked due to unforgiveness and holding on to that pain.

Thank you Lady Luna, I started doing chakra work last summer and it led me to a Christianity and walking with Christ but after I stopped focusing on my chakra healing, now that I’m wanting to get back into my healing I knew the Lord wanted me to find this article and realize he was the one who guided me in the first place, blessed day and love and peace 💕 & many thanks.
This makes so much sense! I thought I was crazy but this gave me confirmation of a “crazy” thought I was having. Also the 7 deadly sins (blocked chakras ex. Lust = blocked root) and the seven gifts of the spirit (activated chakras ex. Council = activated throat) I feel correspond to each one of these chakras. Is this correct?
That was amazing. I knew 7 is throughout The Bible, and I know the rainbow is God’s promise that he will never flood the Earth, but at the beginning of the article when you start talking about the rainbow being the colors of the Chakras everything just started making sense. Thank you so much for this! I believe this article to be true.
Sometimes when I walk into a shop. Sometimes when there’s a negative energy around me. I’ve also come to realise that it enables me to be a be able to tell even what the next person feels about me I can sense hate, love, fear or jeleousy its like I can literary smell their aura. Sometimes when something bad is about to happen I get this feeling. I want to know more. Hense Ive just been doing a resaerch on spiritual symbols of the body… Then I came across the Chakras teachings.
I read this and it led me to researching. “We are more than merely physical beings. We are also spirit and soul. Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the innermost parts of his being.” The same word for lamp used to describe the spirit of man is Strong’s H5216 and is the word used to describe the lights of the lampstand (menorah) in the Tabernacle. “And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof; and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it”.”
Hi, Lady Luna! Thanks for sharing this. I’m a follower of Jesus since I was kid. As I grow old and better myself, I resonated to different ideologies that most people think contradict the Christian faith, like energies and chakras. But, somehow, I believe that they exist and is part of my design. I believe that we are TRIPARTITE beings (Body, Soul and Spirit). If the anatomy of my tangible earthly body has brain, hear, hands, limbs, etc. The antomy of my soul is the chakras. Both yield to the Spirit of the Lord. 🙂 That’s why as a Christian, I do not see Chakra’s as an object of faith but and anatomy of my intangible body with which I can worship the Lord with. 🙂
Thank you for sharing knowledges^^ Regarding heart chakra also mentioned in New Testament 2 Peter 1:19 19We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Genesis 32:30 Pineal Third Eye Chakra which has rods and cones is for spiritual sight. This is where Jacob seen Yahweh Elohim (God) face to face. Yeshua says in Matthew 6:22 “The eye (Pineal or Third Eye) is the lamp of the body: if your eye is good (good intentions), your whole body will be full of light. But if thy eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness (evil intentions), how great is that darkness!
Mark 8 A Blind Man Healed at Bethsaida 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 5 trees in paradise Almond (menorah/chakras) Olive (2 witnesses) Mustard (belief system) Fig (value system) Tree of LIFE (sefirot)
Hi “Lady Luna”. The 12 chakras and the 12 colors in the bible about the holy city are one and the same. Your body is the home of your soul. There is no holy city that will come down to Jerusalem. When the body reaches the light, then it will be exactly as it says in the bible (immortal and shining).
Even in Christianity? Christianity is deeply focused on chakras. Ethymology of sanskrit word chakra is from charka – still the word in sanskrit for spinning wheel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinning_wheel#Charkha From ancient word Charka we have: Cerkov – church in russian Church – cerkov in english Czarka – vessel in polish (Cz is read exactly like english ch) So churches ARE chakras, spiritual vessels of energy. In NT there are 7 churches in Asia.
Jesus is just the character used to illustrate the story… None of the biblical characters are real. The bible was written in parables and allegories. Like people say they’re going to heaven or they’ll see heaven coming from the sky… The whole bible is about YOU so it only makes sense that heaven has something to do with our inner dwellings. Luke 17:20-21
