The Mystic Forge is a tool that allows players to stat change any piece of Ascended Armor or Weapon, even gear obtained from achievements or as random drops. It is a comprehensive resource for crafting and equipment and upgrade component recipes. Insignia, whether exotic or otherwise, is a full set of stats pre-assigned. For crafting, the same tier of insignia as the armor is needed, but the Mystic Forge can be used.

To change the stats of ascended weapons or armor, a precise combination of items is required. These items include an Ascended Item, an Exotic Inscription, and a Changing attribute prefix.
