What Is The Astrological Evidence For The Marka Planet?

Marak Planets in Vedic astrology refer to the planets that cause death after a specific lifespan, often causing accidents, ill-health, poverty, and misery. The “Marka House” is the 2nd and 7th house, which can indicate negative results during their Dashas. A “Markesh Planet” is one that owns or controls the Maraka House.

Maraka planets are significant because their outcomes can vary from one horoscope to another. They can be fatal or cause extreme pain. To find Maraka planets in your horoscope, identify the rulers of the 2nd and 7th houses from your ascendant. These house lords are considered the Marak planets and can influence periods of intense struggle when their Dasha or transit occurs.

Marak planets in Vedic astrology mean death inflicting, neutralizing, or Killer planets. They can reduce longevity. Saturn is a prime Marak planet for Cancer ascendants, while Leo ascendants may have a Marak planet for the Leo ascendant. The Maraka Graha denotes planets that would indicate death, while the Maraka Sthana means House that can bring death.

Understanding Marak planets and their influence is vital in astrology. They do not cause death but bring about significant distress and can cause illness, disease, injuries, hindrances, obstructions, and other negative effects. The 8th house, or the bhavat bhavam of the 8th, is the ruling house in a person’s horoscope.

In summary, Marak Planets in Vedic astrology are the lords of the 2nd and 7th houses, with their lords known as Markesh. Understanding these planets and their influence is crucial for addressing life issues and determining the longevity of a person.

Which nakshatra is not good for death?

Panchak death is a Hindu tradition involving death during the Panchak period, which is considered inauspicious and unpleasant. It is believed that if someone dies during Panchak Kaal, five members from the clan or family will die within 24 months. There are five types of Panchak, each based on Var (days), and Mrityu Panchak is a type that starts on a Saturday. It is advised to avoid marriage and major events during Panchak Kaal.

How to check markesh in Kundali?

In Marrakesh, the seventh house of the horoscope is considered alongside the second, eighth, and twelfth house owners. The eighth house is considered to be the second house, also known as the house of wealth, and is thus considered to be the house that follows the seventh house.

How to calculate maraka?

In Prasna Marga, author Narayanan Nambutiri explains that the age when a native will be attacked by disease or misfortune is determined by the total bindus in Saturn’s Ashtakavarga from the lagna to the sign occupied by Saturn. This total also indicates the age of troubles. If the end or beginning of a malefic dasha coincides with the age represented by these three figures, death may occur.

To determine the age of troubles, multiply the Sodya Pinda of Saturn by the bindus in the 8th house from Saturn in his own Ashtakavarga, divide the product by 27, and when Saturn transits the nakshatra represented by the remainder or trinal nakshatra, death may occur. Multiply the bindus in the sign occupied by Jupiter or the Sun in Saturn’s Ashtakavarga by Saturn’s Sodya Pinda and divide the product by 12, the remainder will be the sign transited by Jupiter or the Sun respectively at the time of death.

What is the Markesh in astrology?

In astrological terminology, “Markesh” denotes the planetary influence associated with the 2nd and 7th houses of a natal chart. When a planet is positioned to rule over one or both of these houses during a specific time period, it is referred to as the “Markesh” period.

Which planets are Maraka for Leo ascendant?

The sun, as the Lagna lord, gives benefic results in the 1st house. Mercury, the 11th house lord, has negative results due to its maraka rule in the 2nd house and its moolatrikona in Virgo. Saturn, the 6th and 7th house lord, is the natural enemy of the sun and gives negative results. Venus, the lord of the 3rd and 10th houses, also has negative results due to its moolatrikona in Libra. Leo ascendants experience maraka effects from both Mercury and Saturn.

What is the planet of Maraka for Virgo?

Maraka Planets for Virgo Ascendant include Venus and Jupiter, which are considered the second and seventh lords. Venus is generally not harmful to Virgo, while Jupiter is the main role of Maraka in Hindu astrology. Each sign has an associated planet that can cause problems or accidents that cause death at the end of a particular life span. Venus is considered the most beneficial planet for Virgo, as it emphasizes its qualities and is a natural friend of Mercury and Lord of the 9th house. Mercury, a Lagna lord, is considered a beneficial influence in Virgo, as it afflicts the lords of the 1st and 2nd houses, which are also ruled by Mercury.

  • Ever since I learned about Quaroar, Sedna, Makemake, Orcus, and Eris, I have been fascinated with minor planets. I love how bizarre and unexpected most of them turn out to be (like having weird shapes, or rings outside its Roche limit, or bizarre moons). How amazing would it be to have the technology to visit these bizarre frozen worlds? Sometimes space is so vast and amazing it gives me chills.

  • My favorite Space Dude!! I grew up in Houston Tx.,during the Apollo era,and was a school kid when we lost the Challenger shuttle. The resurgence of the space industry is much appreciated, n I feel needed. I love your subtle accent, and no matter where you got it,you’re as American as apple pie in my heart. You are a great asset to science, education and one of my favorite obsessions. Im back in school, pursuing a Mechatronix degree…Your take on stuff is passionate, and I think, very genuinely refreshing. I think n feel that U r one of the beautiful people in my life and you always lift my spirits and give me a fire under my ass to study more diligently. I have a good feeling that you have a similar affect on others as well .plz keep it coming,Ive been following You for a good long while and wont stop perusal and learning from you,so dont stop, you’re doing agreat service to me and many, many others. You seem like the kinda guy Id enjoy having a beer or five with,.. maybe one day, ..Ican dream and I know that you’re a dreamer too,.Peace Out,,Howie from Houston. 😉

  • People tend to forget that the diameter of our solar system is based on our sun’s gravity well, not the Oort Cloud. Our Sun’s gravity well is approximately equal to the Centauri System’s gravity well at around two light years. That’s how far out something could be orbiting, at any inclination, and only recently getting close enough to noticably influence orbits. “Could be,” not “positively is”.

  • Alway love your articles, Anton! You mention that it could be something other than a planet, for example, a primordial black hole, and it made me wonder: are there any possible explanations involving dark matter? Do proponents of the theory of dark matter as actual particles (as opposed to MOND or MOG,) posit that such particles could possibly clump together in such a way as to have a gravitational effect on the solar system, similar to what we are observe?

  • I’ve seen quite a few space and what’s in it vids and I wasn’t impressed until I came across Anton about a year ago. I trust him to give accurate information. I thought it was about time to thank him for the knowledge he’s stuck in my head. You know … just a gift of like 7-8 dollars, may be less than Canadian, you know that it’s not much like the price of a coffee. I’m sure he would really appreciate it. Have a great day all!! I hope you all stay safe, healthy and happy!! 🇨🇦☀️😎

  • Great show and great work bro. Glade your covering this. I’ve been perusal a YouTube website for 2 years. He has articles and pics of some amazing things. But be prepared, it is very shocking. He also has maps and pictures of the Dragon, the one that the Bible speaks about. Becky Louise on Illinois also has pics on her YouTube website.

  • There are ancient texts that describe celestial objects, like the phoenix, perhaps others that have been seen at 138 year and longer periodicities. Some of these describe intense meteor showers, objects passing by and obscuring the sun that aren’t lunar eclipses etc. The dates of the reports match up also from cultures on vastly different global regions too.

  • My dad used to tell me stories about another planet in our solar system. He said it was a story passed down to him from an elderly Navajo man. He called it the golden planet, it had a different orbital plane than the rest of the planets and a very strange orbit pattern. I have articles about it on my website. Thanks for making this article!

  • “We” keep on forgetting or abandoning that a star like ours would often begin with a silbling, so if “Nemesis” had left the solar system, a correction mode could have started sucking or accumulating mass from outside (aswell as the Hills cloud), building up Jupiter until it would be a surrogate for “Nemesis” (“Jupiter, you’ll be a star one day”), gathering so much mass, gravitation or “solar system spin” to even deduct Kallisto from Mars making Mars tumble slowly. So with Mars-Kallisto the normal planet system would have been a double System, like Pluto-Charon. And there’s a gap in the Edgeworth comet torus (the “Kuiper belt”).

  • its probs just something passed by millions of years ago upset things and then continued on its way… but we can always hold out for blackhole, planet, megastructure or wormhole im sure someone else will add more highly unlikely things to this list but….. i suspect a few billion years ago something got kicked out and was lost into the void and kicked in some ort cloud objects as it went thru and derped all these objects which over billions of years have just changed orbits due to the roll axis they are on causing slight acceleration from radiation pressure from the solar wind resulting in the orbits we see today

  • Tiny planet-mass primordial black hole would be incredibly hard to find. Not reflecting anything, no accretion disc because it isn’t eating anything and size of the black hole itself is like trying to see black dot of size of basket ball at distance further than Pluto. Even gravimetric lensing effect would be too small to detect. So if that is the “planet 9” it could be that we never find it.

  • What if it’s just a relic of an old close encounter with another star system? Perhaps the encounter with Scholz’s Star about 80,000 years ago, at a distance of 52k-120k AU, it was within the outer bounds of the Oort Cloud. The most recent estimate is it was ~70k AU at its closest, that’s about 1.1 LY. It’s a binary star system (red dwarf + brown dwarf) with a combined mass of ~15% of the sun’s mass, so certainly massive enough to have disturbed some large objects in the Oort Cloud. With the Oort Cloud having a diameter of ~100k-400k AU, that system would have had 5k-20k years of notable gravitational influence on the outer Oort Cloud, which is plenty of time to have scattered many objects into odd orbits. It never got close enough to have a material impact on even Pluto, much less the 8 other planets.

  • If the Oort cloud is responsible, it would require an uneven distribution of matter such that one side is far heavier at any given instance. The chaotic system that we typically assume exists at distances, distributions and masses that pretty much cancel out any sort of gravitational pull on the inner system. Yes, there is an effect, but it is almost negligible. Perhaps we thought wrong.

  • Has anyone tried studying these planets thru the lens of evolution? As in, instead of calculating orbits and looking for them and then adding new orbits to correct the computations, just set some parameters of the let’s called it observed position and then go something like we should observe this after a while, let’s see if we can find something in the sense of mutations, crossovers, etc… that would give those positions? Things collide, break, move, etc… Somewhat like in an organism. And maybe by thinking about it in those therms, you could get some basic rules they tend to follow so that geometrical computations become easier.

  • I have a question. Is this “object” in or near (or its trajectory) the Pleiades, Orion, and or Arcturus? I ask because of both, the translations of the King’s Library of Nineveh regarding the Anunnaki and Nibiru as well as the Old Testament of the Bible (specifically Amos 5:8, Job 9:9 and 9:11, and of course Revelation 8:11 and 12:3-4).

  • My theory is if Planet 9 or Planet X is NOT out there, the orbits of the trans-neptunion planets could be because our solar system is traveling through space at whatever speed and the far planets and objects are just getting pulled by the sun therefore needing to catch up. Idk if that makes sense but that’s my theory

  • Since these objects are too far away to reflect enough sunlight for us to detect, we need a new type of telescope. One that specifically detects stars that blink out for a short time as one of these dark objects shades the light from us. A few such observations should establish an orbit for such dark objects.

  • Fun fact: Noob with basic understanding about gravitational behavior and interactions between massive objects. I’ve seen a bunch of articles about this mysterious “planet 9”. But the fact that we can observe such a small object like Pluto without any issues makes it for me personally very unlikely that this planet exists. At some point I thought: but what if there’s a relatively small mass Black hole somewhere in the outskirts of our solar system, but massive enough disturb the expected orbits of the planets? At the time I didn’t mention it because I didn’t wanted to look stupid. Now that such a knowledgeable scientist like you even mentioned this I have so many regrets that I didn’t 🤣

  • I am not sure what I was hoping for more, confirmation that it does or does not exist or continued mystery around it. I think I like the mystery a little more. just to think that there could likely be another planet close by that we don’t know about is really fascinating. Part of me is still hoping to find Niburu or mount Olympus out there still. I am a big Sitchin fan

  • An strange object that could be many possible things, from a massive planet throug out a black hole, having such an influence and possibly with a very large orbit going so far and closer is intriguing, but the most special question is what kind of influence could it have upon the Earth then if it approaches us?

  • Velkovski (sp?), one of those Russian geniuses, worked on this problem well before modern computation and observation systems existed. He theorized that the perturbations of the orbits of the outer planets could best be explained by another undiscovered planet. Everyone thought he was nuts. BTW, just because we have not discovered something does NOT mean that it does not exist, only that we can’t confirm it’s existence. Recent observations demonstrate that new lots of surprising new weird stuff experts would have scoffed at is out there.

  • I propose we call this hypothetical planet “Ixion”. Not only because it makes for some superb acronyms, it even fits the mythology: Ixion being banished to the nether realm of Tartarus (aka deep space) It also makes me wonder… is it possible Ixion is a planet kicked out by the movement of Jupiter and Saturn during the early formation of the solar system? Or perhaps it’s a wandering exoplanet that was captured when our solar system got too close to another neighbouring star system? I think I recall that our system grazed another by 1 LY some billions of years ago? If that caused the Oort clouds of both systems to canoodle and form a planet, only for it to then fall into our solar system due to cancellation of momentum by the opposing directions of the rotating Oort clouds at ‘impact’… such exciting thoughts 😀

  • The solar system has periodic close encounters with other stars that get within the Oort Cloud, like how Scholz’s Star did 70,000 years ago. I am wondering if some of these weird orbits could have been caused by such an encounter at some point in the past when another star slid through the inner Oort Cloud or even the Kuiper Belt and messed up some of the outer orbits of smaller bodies. Because of how slow things orbit out there, it may have mostly affected objects on one side of the system, leading to this bias of the objects seemingly being grouped together.

  • someone should do a study on… what if there is a primodial black hole of the size and location of where the gravitational anomaly is.. how likely or easy it would be for our instruments to detect.. or what sort of instruments it will require to be able to detect it.. and what methods would have the highest chances of detecting it…?

  • Hi, I know I am not supposed to. But I don’t understand how a planet 9 could cause this. The only simple explanation my simulator can come up with is that a big object entered the solar system, changing the orbit of space rocks in a specific area. Somehow it should not have left the solar system (or left where it came in or something) or we should see the impact. Or maybe it entered the solar system very slowly and took orbit, like maybe pluto. I would be interested in seeing a more detailed version of the simulation that allows us the understand this subject better. Have a nice day!

  • If ‘Planet nine’ is a distant black dwarf star it would not show up with an infrared signature ….as its surface temperature would be the same as space. So I take the view that the reason we can not find it is because it is virtually invisible. It seems that a black dwarf is more likely than a black hole. A black dwarf might not be much larger than a single solar mass.

  • I often wonder about old stories about a planet called nabiro, not sure of spelling, but it was to come around in like 1 or 2 thousand years, if this what we’re looking for, being some ancient people knew about most of planets already, we jjust had to see them closer to prove they existed, just a thought

  • Could it be a dark matter MACHO? Some kind of massive compact halo object we don’t know about yet? A cold dark planet or dwarf star that doesn’t emit much or any infrared radiation. Maybe a cold carbon planet or some kind of cold neutron star. Maybe some kind of exotic massive object like near black hole mass with it’s event horizon at a slightly smaller radius than the body. Most stars are binary systems or more. Sol is kind of unusual in that he doesn’t have a companion we know about.

  • If, perhaps, there WAS a primordial black hole on the outskirts of our solar system, what would that mean for us? Assuming it’s relatively young enough to not have caused any drastic effects on Earth or the solar system yet, would it be a threat for future life or space travel? What would the ramifications be?

  • I originally liked the idea that the existance of Planet 9 was possibly responsible for the planar tilt of the entire solar system as it acted as a lever on a 10000 year orbit that had tilted everything by 6 degrees. I remember the simple item from my astronomy childhood that the sun had a rotational tilt of 6 degrees relative to the solar system and it had never struck me as odd before. But it should have. Why would the sun, which generated the entire solar system, have a different tilt? The ‘self-centered’ arrogance made more sense back then. But it makes much more sense that it’s not the sun that was tilted but everything else.

  • Can you show the plane of ecliptic of Sol in relation to the atypical inclined planets’ orbitals in your graphics? Is it assumed the plane view you display is oriented in relation to the solar equatorial ecliptic plane? Am merely an amateur astronomer, so not familiar with the view orientations. You are doing terrific work. Thank you! 🙏

  • I hope there are tentative plans to send probes to Planet 9 should it approach close enough one day. That is if it’s in an elliptical orbit. It would be too bad if it was way the heck out there and hardly ever approached the Sun. I’m hoping for a flyby. At least somewhere inside the orbits of the known planets. It would be awesome to send a probe, even if it just did a flyby. A pipe dream would be to put something in orbit or even land on it. Imagine landing a probe and then perusal the planet leave for another few millennia. We should put something similar to the Voyager gold record on it, as well. Who boy… Heady thoughts… 😉😎☮

  • i believe it’s actually evidence that we are in a bianary star system, but the second star has a strange orbit, that doesn’t allow us to observe it directly. yet. it looks to me that it has a predictable orbit. I don’t believe it’s a small planet, I believe we are going to be surprised by the size of the sister star to our sun.

  • It actually could be just the Oort cloud. 2.8 million years ago the star HD 7977 passed in 0.2ly distance. Gliese 710 will do in 1.3 million years. That’s in distance of that cloud. If such a star by it’s gravity has ripped a hole into that cloud by steeling material, the mass of the cloud on the opposite side of that sphere of iceballs could imitate a body of a certain mass (planet), when in fact it would be the summary of the masses of those small iceballs as over density in comparison to the “lost” mass of the Oort cloud where the star passed through.

  • I am trying to understand black holes. It seems that a black holes could be more numerous in all the Solar systems because this is we’re the energy dimensions exist or. What we call heaven as I have a memory of being somewhere before I was born in another dimension. At 82 years old I think some thing put me down on this planet and some thing will take me back

  • What if there isn’t a planet 9 yet, but it’s forming (I had a thought perusal another article. ). You could have denser regions of smaller objects out in the far solar system, not one big planet to find, but they could forming be a new planet. I could be wrong here but I would think it would take longer for a planet farther out to form than in the inner solar system, you have way larger orbits and distance to cover for small objects to start collecting together and being caught in the new forming planet. If it’s several hundred AU out, it could just be taking this long compared to the rest of the solar system for sizable objects to form out there. There could still be clusters of mass that would have influence when factored in together could look as if there’s a planet somewhere in that area. But if it’s so spread out and hard to pin down, maybe it’s just not a planet yet. Give it a few billion years, and by the time Sol is a Red Giant, then we’ll have said planet 9, we’ll all be dead and the inner solar system will be eaten the sun, but there might be a proper planet out there by then.

  • I mean I don’t know how accurate this is, but I heard somewhere a long time ago in a article that if All of the earth’s mass was condensed into a black hole, it would be the size of a marble. So if a mass 5 times the size of earth were condensed, wouldn’t that just be the size of like 5 marbles? And if there were no mass around for it to absorb, would it produce any radiation? I feel like a tiny blackhole like that would be extremely difficult to find lol, not to mention the question of how a tiny blackhole like that would even form lol. But anyways enough rambling, love your articles Anton!

  • This feels a lot like Mercury retrograde problem they tried a new planet for that one too tbh it doesn’t make sense to me we can measure planets on other stellar systems but not in solar system so i’ll either go with blackhole-oort cloud way or New physics way both of which are more exciting than having a ninth planet that’ll just be another gas giant

  • We can and have detected multiple objects 1/4 the size of Pluto up to 1000AU but we can’t find a planet 5x larger than earth? Seems like we have plenty technology and it seems to me that there isn’t anything suggesting there is a planet 9. Seems to me like these small rocks like Sedna have an odd orbit bc they were captured or left over from a long time ago. Their inclined and elliptical orbit could simply just be the angle and speed in which they were captured.

  • QUESTION(s)/COMMENT: first, I do appreciate Sean and Jay’s willingness to be open to questions. Here goes: I’m not sure the argument about eclipses enabling scientific discovery is a great one for design. One needs to have the implicit assumption that God wants humanity to discover science (and by extension: hypothesize to a designer). Let’s grant that. If so, why is it just now in ~2000 AD that relativity has been proved by perusal stars during an eclipse? Einstein came up with relativity before the experiment – and so if there hadn’t been eclipses, then eventually relativity would have been demonstrated experimentally anyway (eg speed of light tests, time dilation on satellites, other astronomical observations, particle behaviour in accelerators, etc). So we don’t really need eclipses to be “just so” – just to show that scientific discovery was enabled by a Designer. If you’re still going to persist in that claim, I could just as easily invent other examples where more scientific discovery could have been enabled hundreds or thousands of years earlier (and by extension: saving many more souls by turning them to Christianity sooner, if science points the way to God). Examples: why not enable humans with microscopic seeing eye lenses that can see cells? Why not let us “hear” or see in radio frequencies? I could go on – and yes you can say that’s silly. But if you say my examples are silly, then I could probably level the same charge against the somewhat ad hoc “eclipses enabled relativity” argument – if used from an apologetics point of view.

  • The best starting point to come closer to an answer to whether or not God possibly exists is the simplest one: ‘Why is there something, rather than nothing?’. This question used to annoy me. I thought it was too simplistic. However, I have changed my mind on this. I think it is a powerful thought to mull over.

  • I’m surprised Sean hasn’t had on his interviews Dr Hugh Ross. He can explain that the earth is designed to the core! He has really put it all together from the big bang to life’s window here on earth made perfect for the human species. All of the universe’s precise size an mass was necessary to make all of the perfect balance of all the elements. It’s why he has a website titled, “Reasons to believe”, he better hurry up because he is now 79 years old. He rekindled my faith, immensely.

  • QUESTION: Best critique I can think up is that the “ideal” level of scientific knowability is arbitrary. Argument requires an assumption that our current knowabilty is the ideal amount. What about all the things we can’t know or test? (Eg., are there other dimensions and how do they work?) Imagine a universe where life is able to know/test a lot more than we can, and how they would view a universe like ours as limited. We can’t know what we can’t know.

  • QUESTION: Dr Russell Humphreys has determined that the earth’s magnetic field has a half life that means it is decaying away. How important is this field and what sorts of effects are likely to occur due to this decline? What does this decay rate tells us about how old the maximum age of the earth could be?

  • (^^; This is an artistic proof of a created universe. When you paint a shadow it’s the opposite color of the object that made the shadow. Nobody knew what the opposite color of white was so the artists avoided painting white on white. The opposite color of white is baby blue and baby pink. The first artist to figure it out was Norman Rockwell. I was the second artist to figure it out. I saw it in the corner of a white room. The lighting was perfect to see it.

  • Question – I will be helping lead our women’s group as we use the article series and study guide for the updated Evidence That Demands a Verdict. Of course these people are not scientists or, in some cases, not even college graduates. Could you please give maybe the top five pieces of evidence for intelligent design – arguments that these women could use in a conversation to support intelligent design? Thank you!

  • OK, why don’t we put this argument in a proper perspective? In the observable universe there are approximately 10^22 stars, most of them having planets orbiting them. That’s a lot of zeros. If life on Earth had a one-in-a-billion chance of occurring, that leaves us with around 10^13 planets with a similarly ‘privileged’ status. The implication would then have to be that each of those planets is evidence for design too. It just doesn’t even get off the ground.

  • I would just like to point out that Design is almost totally dismissed from all serious science in the top universities. This is a point of reference to all you Christians that might think this is mainstream. It’s fringe. No offence meant. And if you don’t believe me, I urge you to check out the scientific consensus in the relevant fields.

  • There seems to be a weird catch 22 regarding atheism (and theism), and a material cosmology. If we take material cosmology to its logical end, it seems to suggest that atheism (and theism) can’t arise in a purely material universe. It should also follow that a material brain isn’t capable of recognizing that it’s a material brain, by definition essentially.

  • Tighter and tighter circles of cemetry, there is a pattern to continue. Fortunately we are too small to upset the pattern, but once we do, things will start to drift, and horrific things will hapen when these bodies are in the wrong places. Perhaps even God is worried about this, since we have the book of Revelation telling us to repent.

  • COMMENT/QUESTION: As I understand your argument it presupposes our current scientific models. For example you talk of the perfect eclipse being useful to science for providing evidence for Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. Suppose it turns out that the General theory or Relativity turns out to be false and a different model that does not require a perfect eclipse to establish it turns out to be true. How would that affect your argument, or is it irrelevant because science includes the process of providing false models (like Newton’s model is replaced by Einsteins).

  • QUESTION: Is it true that our solar system/galaxy is necessary for life on earth. I.E do we need all of the planets and our moon for life to exist on earth? If so Why would God require all of these planets to be present and not design the earth in a way that it was not necessary to have all of the other planets? Thank you very much for considering my question.

  • The fact that something can not come from nothing makes an argument for an infinite universe as proposed by Penrose. According to Wikipedia: “Conformal cyclic cosmology (CCC) is a cosmological model in the framework of general relativity and proposed by theoretical physicist Roger Penrose. In CCC, the universe iterates through infinite cycles, with the future timelike infinity (i.e. the latest end of any possible timescale evaluated for any point in space) of each previous iteration being identified with the Big Bang singularity of the next. Penrose popularized this theory in his 2010 book Cycles of Time: An Extraordinary New View of the Universe.” If you want to make the argument that the universe was created you have to first show: 1. That the universe had a beginning. 2. That it makes any sense to even propose anything came before the beginning. For example: A. A ray has a beginning and is infinite, but it makes no sense to ask what came before the starting point. B. It makes no sense to claim a line, a plane, a circle, or a sphere have either a beginning or an ending. C. Pi starts with 3. 3.1416… Again it makes no sense to ask what came before the leading 3. 3. That the universe was created vs arose spontaneously the way quantum particles arise from nothing spontaneously. 4. Who is this creator ? Which ancient text is true? For example in the Greek mythos: “According to Hesiod’s “Theogony,” the world was born from Chaos, the void. From Chaos emerged Erebus (Darkness) and Nyx (Night), who then gave birth to Aether (the upper air) and Hemera (Day).

  • Thank you for writing your book, “The Privileged Planet”. I find your fine-tuning arguments compelling. However, I have a slightly different part of the origin story I would like you to comment on. The Big Bang theory posits that before the universe there was nothing and then the Big Bang happened. Physicist Lawrence Krauss posits that while the universe may have originated from “nothing”, he argues that the universe could have arisen from a deeper nothingness. This position seems illogical to me and I would really like to hear your thoughts on it because I interact with people who like his ideas. Thanks.

  • I want to ask. My questions… 1. The reality that we can see right now is that in this universe there are trillions of trillions of planets and galaxies. If there are countless trillions of trillions of planets… maybe not only planet Earth has living creatures inhabiting it…? For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets…? 2. The real facts that we can know right now… the earth is approximately 10 million km, the sun is 1.3 million times as big as the earth, and there is a star called U Scuty that is tens of billions of times as big as the sun . If the celestial bodies were super massive in size like that, the number in the trillions would be uncountable. How big do you think God the Creator is, bro…? Maybe God is only as big as the man Jesus…? 3. According to scientists, the universe is more than 13 billion years old, whereas according to historians, Adam and Eve only existed about 7 thousand years ago. Based on this science… maybe the universe has been empty without any living creatures inhabiting it for more than 13 billion years…? So what was Jesus doing for 13 billion years before there were humans, Adam and Eve…? Please answer me!!!!?!!!

  • COMMENT: any thoughts on the Simulation Theory where we are part of a line of simulations? For example, not only are we in a simulation but those simulators who created our Simulation is also part of a higher level simulation, etc. and we are on the precipice of creating our own Simulation next with the help of this AI tech, etc.(e.g. thinking how advanced article games have gotten already) and then existence is just simulations all the way down (instead of turtles).

  • Well Stagger this: I didn’t watch this but I know he didn’t respond to (couldn’t) answer my observations of actual reality i.e. the universe was neither designed or fine tuned, they are both theistic mindless absurdity that don’t stand up to scrutiny. DNA is not too complex to form and run itself. Of course, the pointlessness of this whole argument is mind numbingly obvious: Even if you could prove a god was required (which you can’t and never will) you will still never be able to prove it’s your god which (based on your scriptures) it wouldn’t be. So you remain in a state of zero proof of your god. So why argue? Although I obviously could write a book on this as some theist flim flam men have to earn a living on deception: 1. Let’s start with: There is a string of unproved origin of the universe theories which simply denies any ability to claim, “The universe had a beginning”. Undeniable fact. 2. We don’t know enough about the universe to claim that the cosmological constants giving rise to this universe could occur any other way making the universe inevitable as it is i.e. claiming the probability is 1:10^77 is just unsustainable rubbish. We don’t even know what all the constants involved are. Undeniable fact. Feel free to prove the constants could be different. 3. If the universe has a beginning and end then it is most likely it recycles and, given there is no time before a universe (technically eternal) then there is nothing to say we are not living in the INEVITABLE version universe 10^77.

  • ( ´Α`) Natural selection is the character flaw in evil that is integrity is more important than life otherwise evolution is tragic circumstances with nothing intelligent happening. Almost everyone survive until they reproduce. Nothing is getting selected except for the character flaw in evil. I found a replacement for the character flaw in evil that I liked but God makes me forget things that will cause me trouble.

  • QUESTION: Scripture doesn’t discuss other planets or the solar system except in reference to the birth of Jesus or “the u iverse”. So why wouldn’t it be reasonable to speculate that God created other similar systems? There is only one God who created this system, but could it be possible that there are gods who created their own systems? Keeping in mind I know little about astronomical science.

  • (・・;) The universe was created in 1976. It is too hot to make a universe at the time of the big bang. It can be created at anytime. God is slow and easy. A human can do a lot with their lifespan. I got the hunk. God got the chunk. Everyone else can have the rest. That is song spirit of ”76 by The Alarm.

  • ┐(‘~`;)┌ We need to popularize the idea of getting God married. Getting God married is a good use of someone’s time. You are supposed to make the environment intelligent so no God is needed. We fixed the article and audio for the best experience possible. Cameras are supernatural and all of them captured 3D that not a gimmick. The audio loud don’t make violence so has depth. Nobody has to buy anything for it to work.

  • Oh man…..that 400x and 400x nonsense. A. The Earth has an elliptical orbit around the sun……there’s a range of distance from 91.4 million miles (147.1 million km) away from us. At its farthest, the Sun is 94.5 million miles (152.1 million km) away….5 million km range…..the distance of the moon to the earth is 360000-405000 km which at best is 375.56x farther away…..guess what that’s not 400…..that’s 6% off…..at best…..that’s HUGE! More lying creationists that can’t math

  • @djsarg7451 You ask, “Where did the universe come from and why is it the way it is?” You didn’t respond when I tell you that the big bang did not happen. You just ask a different question. Typical christian. Then you throw a question on top of that. OK, here is an answer. The universe did not come from anywhere, it always was. The material of the universe consists of a material called lectozubgonpadto. There is an infinite amount of this stuff available. For a mind as sophisticated as yours, that is a lot. Anyway the closest present science comes to this stuff is quantum foam. The trick is that lectozubgonpadto emerges very rapidly. And also there is a lot of it. So one end (if you can think of it that way) does not know what the other end is doing. Actually, there are an infinite number of ends. Anyway, one of these ends appears to be like man. That’s where we came from. The other ends make some other kind of creature. Now lectozubgonpadto has no mind but it is aware. It obeys three laws, it can sense others. It cannot sense itself. The only way it can sense itself is when others sense it. The point is that it manifests itself in many ways. Some simply cease to exist. But some manage to exist for awhile. Time is one of the manifestations. Space is another. By the way, one of these manifestations is god. Since one of the rules is It cannot sense itself, the god thing thing disappears instantly because lectozubgonpadto can’t see itself and all other lectozubgonpadto ignore it.

  • Big bang theory is only man’s word vs God’s Word 7-day creation, both explaining the vastness of space multi-universe. If you believe man’s word, then you are tricked for interpreting distances of stars and universe as measurement of time. For such distances using light years as measurements mind blowing impossible never-ending numbers. In contrast the Bible states: God created Heavens (meaning stary host, everything surrounding Earth) in accordance with God’s 7-day cycle of Creation. Here my point: let say we have a 100-meter football field, and every 10 meter we light up a candle stick indicating distance and time determine its age. We’re using remote toy car symbolising speed of light, calculating our distance and time from every candle stick point on the football field. Obviously the further away you go to that candle, the greater distance and time is calculated. If you see from God’s eyes: He created that football field one day. Just like the heavens above from one star to another, one universe to another, one galaxy to another all created in within the 7 days… these distances reveal our limitation and proves the Bible description God’s Wonderous Power and Glory in Creation.

  • The size of the universe compared to earth is a common question by Atheists. The Quran confirms the universe is just one part of 7 heavens that he created. It’s huge but still nothing compared to God. Human beings however, was his greatest creation due to freewill and intelligence. The Quran even describes the Big Bang process perfectly.

  • READ THIS WHOLE THING: PRAY FOR ISRAEL. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel. Mark 1:15 THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN HIS HOUSEHOLD? THEN PLEASE REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS TODAY, AND GIVE ALL YOUR LIFE TO HIM, WHOSOEVER READS THIS MESSAGE. THE LORD IS GOOD, AND NOBODY IS OUT OF THE CANDIDACY FOR BECOMING A CHRISTIAN. THE TIME HAS COME TO REPENT OF FEMALE “PASTORSHIP”, FALSE BELIEFS, INFANT “BAPTISM”, ALL THE THEOLOGY THAT HAS TORN AWAY OUR CHURCHES, THE CONDONING OF LGBT PRACTICES, DRAG QUEENS, AND AB***ION, AND OTHER THINGS THAT HAS TORN THE CHURCH DOWN. MAY GOD HUMBLE YOU ALL AND LEAD YOU TO GREAT REPENTANCE AND SUBMISSION TO JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.

  • Saying the earth is special is literally special pleading. As an atheist, this is just a pure example of post hoc reasoning. A Muslim in the comments agreed with these arguments but still said the Bible was wrong. He lacks faith in Christianity, and therefore he’ll steal whatever arguments supports the god of his imagination because he’s looking for explanatory power to hold onto his faith. Notice how in this interview that Jay Richards is only talking about how science has worked, and never gets into how theology has made any scientific discoveries. The conditions that allow for life also set up the best conditions for creating imaginary religions. See how that works out? Once you see the process, you can infer design – religions and their gods were designed by people.

  • COMMENT I have tried to reason with folks that mathematics is surprising for a materialistic worldview. A cosmos that never had reasoning thinking creatures in mind just happens to be so ordered that these creatures could discover the laws of mathematics (nonphysical concepts) that we can use to travel the cosmos and better our lives in unimaginable ways. The answer is a hand wave away saying well the cosmos has to be measurable so it’s no surprise. Is this a good argument and is that a realistic answer?

  • Guess what: clickbait yet again. Not one strong piece of evidence or even solid logic. Downrigt embarassing. Even if creation is ever proven – which it currently certainly is not – claiming to know exactly who did it and why with mankind as the centerpiece, based on a single man written book created over many decades is simply insane.
