What Is The Meaning Of An Hyperactive Crown Chakra?

An overactive crown chakra, also known as the Sahasrara or seventh chakra, can lead to various physical and non-physical symptoms such as depression and lack of empathy. It is associated with the brain, nervous system, and pituitary glands in the body. When an overactive crown chakra occurs, it means it is distributing too much energy, which can cause feelings of disconnection from the world, other people, and even ourselves.

Common signs of an overactive crown chakra include feelings of grandiosity, mental fog, and disconnection from the physical world. If you suspect a blockage, there are four ways to bring your crown chakra back into balance. Signs of an excessive imbalance include disconnection from Earthly reality, spiritual addiction, and over-intellectualizing.

The crown chakra is also linked to the element of thought and is associated with the brain, nervous system, and pituitary glands. It is connected to universal consciousness and can be affected by feelings of disconnectedness to spirit and cynicism regarding what is sacred. Overactive crown chakras can manifest in physical symptoms such as recurring headaches and sensitivity to light and sound.

Overactive crown chakras can also result in a state of impracticality, as they may not be living in the real world and become addicted to spiritual rituals without fully understanding their purpose. To bring an overactive crown chakra back into balance, one should focus on restoring balance and avoiding negative connotations associated with the term “overactive”.

What does it mean if your chakras are overactive?

An overactive muladhara chakra is triggered by feeling inadequately met with basic human needs, such as hunger or physical discomfort. This can lead to feelings of anxiety, fear, jitteriness, digestive problems, eating disorders, low back pain, hip pain, ovarian and prostate issues, and daydreaming. On the other hand, an underactive root chakra is characterized by poor concentration, spacey feelings, and disconnectedness. Balancing practice is crucial to ensure that one is providing themselves with these basic human needs.

Overwhelmed individuals may forget to feed themselves, drink enough water, or get enough sleep, causing their systems to enter survival mode. Focusing on these needs daily is essential for spiritual well-being.

What does a blocked crown chakra feel like?

The Crown Chakra, a vital energy center, can be imbalanced or blocked, leading to physical symptoms such as poor coordination, fatigue, headaches, dizziness, light sensitivity, brain fog, and sleep disturbances. This emotional blockage can manifest as a lack of purpose, feeling disconnected from oneself and the world, confusion, distraction, lack of focus, feelings of isolation, depression, existential crises, and inability to let go of certain attachments or limiting beliefs.

To address these issues, practicing five restorative yogasanas can unlock inner wisdom, intuition, and spiritual growth, harmonising the Crown chakra naturally. The first is the Sirsasana (Headstand), which involves balancing the whole body just by the head. This posture stimulates blood flow to the crown area, promotes higher consciousness, and enhances spiritual connection.

The Shirshasana, also known as the ‘king of yoga poses,’ involves balancing the whole body just by the head, stimulating blood flow to the crown area, promoting higher consciousness, and enhancing spiritual connection. By practicing these poses, individuals can overcome the side effects of an overactive or underactive seventh energy point and naturally harmonise the Crown Chakra.

What happens when your crown chakra is out of balance?

The 7th or Crown Chakra, located at the top of the head, is associated with physical imbalances such as depression, inability to learn, and sensitivity to light, sound, and environment. According to ancient Indian philosophy, there are seven main energy centers in the body, each corresponding to specific body ailment and dysfunctions. Each energy center houses our mental and emotional strengths, and when we release stale energy from the body, it can undo tightness, stiffness, or malfunction in that area.

  • Since I’ve opened my third eye. My whole life had changed. Not in a negative way but for the better. I don’t understand how people see demons but I guess everyones different. I’ve never seen demons after opening my third eye but the only thing that’s annoying sometimes is the pressure between the eyes or forehead. I meditate a lot so sun up & sun down it’s always open. Idk but maybe it’s to over active.

  • Thank you for making this! I don’t ever get headaches unless I’ve got sunglasses on top of my head or if my hair is in a low bun and it’s too tight and I started getting these headaches today off and on. It’s just gotten progressively worse into the night. I currently feel like I have an arrow going strait through my forehead slightly above my brow bone and coming out the back of my head/neck where the little dip is. I’ve always been intuitive, but here lately it’s like someone’s been slowly turning the dial up, and then all of a sudden (since the headaches) it’s like someone flipped a light switch on, and it’s a little too bright lol. While this is all so very cool, and I’m thankful, it’s a little unnerving. And the headaches are getting really uncomfortable, so thank you so very much for making this article and sharing this info!💛

  • So happy I stumbled on your article. Have had horrible migraines since I was 14. I’m 42 now. I am a medium/psychic empath and have a ton of gifts it’s crazy but I got diagnosed with something called POTS and the pain is so debilitating there are days I need a wheelchair. I meditate I do reiki I have spiritual baths etc but the past 4 years the headaches have been nuclear pain wise. I swear I’m going blind. I will give your advice a try. Maybe there is hope after all. 💕

  • The Crown Chakra is multi-layered. The layer that is part of the main 7 chakra system is violet/lila, but the other layer is golden-white. This golden-white layer of the Crown Chakra is called The Soul Star Chakra, and it is the unofficial 8th chakra within the main chakra system. In total, with the big main chakras and all smaller/more subtle chakra, you have 108 chakras 🌈
