What Is The Sudarshan Chakra’S Power?

The Sudarshan Chakra, also known as the Wheel of Auspicious Vision, is a powerful and heavenly weapon in the universe. It is a circular shape with 108 edges that moves at a fast speed, capable of traveling millions of kilometers at the blink of an eye. The Chakra has twelve spokes and six navels, with its center composed of “Vajra”. The words “Om Sahasrara hum phat” (सहस्रात् हुं फट्) are inscribed on each of its faces.

The Sudarshan Chakra is a divine weapon related to Lord Vishnu, one of the central divinities in Hinduism. It is often depicted as a turning plate with sharp, transmitting edges, and is believed to eliminate negative energies, dispel obstacles, and safeguard against malevolent forces. Devotees worship the Chakra to seek divine guidance.

In ancient Indian mythology, the Sudarshan Chakra symbolizes the divine power of Lord Vishnu to maintain cosmic order and uphold righteousness. Its circular shape allows it to perform millions of rotations every second and travel several million kilometers at the blink of an eye. The Chakra is the only divine weapon constantly in motion, capable of performing millions of rotations every second and traveling several million kilometers at the blink of an eye.

In the Rigveda, the Sudarshan Chakra is considered Vishnu’s symbol as the wheel of time. The discus later emerged as an anthropomorphic ayudhapurusha. The Sudarshan Chakra is a symbol of power and acts as a shield to destroy and negate any negative or evil forces that can cause suffering. It is believed to be the most powerful weapon in the world and obeys the commands of only the one who wields it.

The Sudarshan Chakra is a powerful Homa for invoking Lord Vishnu for blessings of victory, health, wealth, peace, and prosperity. It has tremendous occult and spiritual power, making it a powerful weapon in the cosmos, rivaled only by Shiva’s trident.

What was the speed of Sudarshan Chakra?

Sudarshan, a rotating machine, is a crucial tool in India’s infrastructure development. It can rotate at a maximum speed of 200 rpm, exerting pressure 200 times that of gravity. It can rotate continuously for five days and has a life guarantee of 40 years. Scientists watch the effects on their computer screen via three video cameras placed at various positions on the equipment. Sudarshan is particularly useful in urban India, as it can determine the pressure a building can stand when excavation for another building is carried out next to it.

This information is crucial for planning infrastructural development, as is the case in countries like Japan and the UK. As a national facility, Sudarshan is open to all Indian industry, research institutions, and government organizations. The first few projects are rolling in, such as the Vishakhapatnam Port Trust testing the feasibility of building a 27-meter-high, 255-meter-long anchor wall into the sea and the HRD ministry commissioned a project to test the resilience of highway ramps. Sudarshan aims to help create long-lasting, safe cities by testing the strength and resilience of manmade structures.

  • People wrongly assume that Sudarshan Chakra is a weapon to kill someone. In reality, Sudarshan means: “Right view”. So Sudarshan Chakra is basically the teaching of Vishnu to dispel ignorance (Wrong View) and establish Right View. It is depicted as removing the “head” of a person, i.e. “Ego”. Because ego is what ultimately causes “Wrong View”.

  • Please stop denoting Hindu texts as mythology. They are not myths but recorded text of our ancient history that have been proved to have existed in the past and that which actually occurred, and more and more evidences in proof of this fact are emerging every day. It was the vested interests of other emerging religions that lead to dismissing the Hindu texts as myths in an attempt to establish thier own myths at the cost of the Hindu texts.

  • what is rishi durvasa’s problem? Why’s he angry all the time? Why curse everyone all the time that everyone fears you? You’re a saint you should be the highest version of yourself and forgive others, be calm, be at peace. It’s okay to get angry sometimes but atleast don’t curse people?? That’s so unfair—it’s abuse of power.

  • What nonsense is the name, Hinduism, it’s a western thinking to destroy our santani dharma sanatani culture santani education sanatani art& literature,so stop calling it Hinduism,There is no existence of Hinduism, It’s sanatan dharma and it’s the right word, the oldest and the source of all dharmas in this world, and like Islam and Christianity it is not a religion,it is greatest philosophy,it is greatest teachings of all-time in this world❤️🙏

  • everything is wrong here. 1. First, Pushpak Viman was not given to Raavan but to Kuber. 2. Sudarshan Chakra was not created by Vishwakarma, but by Shiva himself who gave it to Lord Vishnu after long penance 3. Third, Sudarshan Chakra is not the deadliest, there are two more – Narayanashtra and Pashupatashtra . Stop giving wrong infos to people and misguiding them ||| OM NAMOH NARAYANAYE NAMAH ||| ||| OM NAMAH SHIVAY ||| || OM PARAPRAHMAYA NAMAHA |||

  • I enjoy the story telling and learning about ancient Indian scriptures. The reader has a very nice and pleasant voice. If I may give some feedback, the background music used in this article is too loud and overly dramatic, making it hard to hear properly what is said and very distracting, when the focus should be on the story. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish listening to the article.

  • This is to the creator of article. Do you really believe that the sanathan dharma is mythology? Because it hurts everytime when someone calls the history of our nation a MYTHOLOGY. If you guys start calling it mythology then everyone will start doing the same thing. You need to be very careful. I’m sorry but i had to say this!

  • Problem with Puranas is that while Vedas exalted and praised all the Devas equally as a form of Brahman, the Puranas were over the centuries tampered by cultist devotees exalting their favored ishtas. So one would come across confusing information where one Deva is given preference and projected as superior to all others. Sanatan Dharma followers should worship all devas and elements equally as the expansions of the Supreme Brahman.

  • NO ONE CREATED SUDHARSHANA It is an inherent PART of Vishnu signifying KAALA CHAKRA. When any one is Vadh by it, this means, their KAALA or TIME has come to an end. o.o This is the ORIGINAL source. Anantha signified INFINITE POWER on which Supreme Lord Vishnu / Narayana / Paramathman / Supreme Soul / Parabrahma resides.

  • The most powerful and fearsome weapon in Hindu mythology is SambhavAstra, PasupatAstra same as Bishnovastra, (The Sudarshana Chakra is certainly an unstoppable weapon – yet it is not invincible, created from the part of Surya Dev by Vishwakarma) Mahakali’s sword, Mahakal’s third eye – Because, from Mahakala Shivashankar’s third eye, all the worlds are revealed. Similarly Mahakaliro. But, the most destructive weapon is Ardhanarishwar’s Mahakala Chakra, whose bouquet is nowhere to be found. Which can destroy the entire world in the blink of an eye. The most powerful weapon is intense devotion to the Supreme Lord, faith, piety, innocence, unselfish devotion and merging of the soul with the Supreme by finding the Supreme within the self.

  • Dear Hindu Saga please stop adding “aa” in your pronunciations of names i believe its coz of the west accent as they don’t comprehend pronunciation of sanskrit and hindi they add “aa”. In some places its ok but everywhere its stupid Yog became Yogaa as result of this stupid adaption. I bet no will ever say Jesusaa one will schooled by karens. I mean no insult just making my point.

  • Okay, nice stories… but the idea of what a God is, is totally lost in these stories. Gods do not lose control of their power over human emotions… Insults and anger…. rage and lust…. these are just big ego’s losing their self control because they never had control over their mortal emotions in the first place…Hence the big story is that they were Gods… no, no they were not. Just the shadow of the big ego all dressed up as a God. But as soon as you insult their pride… they blow a fuse and become enraged and destroy stuff.. Total fantasy of the ego. Show me a saint who is calm and peaceful and has their emotions under self control and there you will find a God, humble and quiet, yet powerful and compassionate.

  • The Supreme (Vishnu, Krishna, Govinda, Narayana, Vitala, Madhava, Keshava, Venkatesha, Vasudeva……He is Anantha (Infinite) Koti ( Crore)..naama (names) deva……during Lord Rama avatar ..yes has worshiped Lod Shiva. The greatest of the supreme he and is no one is a match to him in following samskaras of the native world – he is the best. Lord Shiva is none other than himself, vishnu maya (in some scripts also known as durga devi) is the greatest powerful force that even devas fail to win over. The Supreme expands into so many god forms, some not even known to the humans. Supreme Krishna is the param bramha, he is the bramha of the brahmas..so many in count. He is the parama svarat, everything starts and ends in him including the avatars. When he came to earth as Lord Rama Avatar he did not leave behind Vayikuntah, it is only his amshaa ( a portion of his existence that take the avatar). Demi gods rush to watch his leelas whether it be in Sathya yuga, Thretha yuga, Dwapara or Kali. Everyone wants to witness him include all us and our inner. His maya is that even minions by making the supreme names unimportant are also very fortunate by including his name in attaching with some or other form of his. Lord Shiva in ramayana says by chanting rama nama mantra one is purified ocean times. Honestly, if one desires to know – how greater, infinite, limitless …the Supreme Vishnu formis —— you must first satisfy Lord Shiva..without shiva mercy you will not even feel or enlighten what is that great Supremeness of Supreme Gopala!

  • Sudharshan chakra is samaya chakra. Lord Vishnu was the time keeper. The only one who can control time. Chakra as a weapon to cut people’s head is lil absurd. He used chakra to kill people, yes he did, he controls time…. meaning he can decide when someone’s time ends. Chakra is not like sword because sword can behead too. Sudharshan chakra is more than that.

  • Jeesh, whichever gods/deities have ever existed (referring in general, not just those narrated here)… they seem just like super-humans with all humans weaknesses and such. I mean, gods/deities must be by default at a MUCH higher level than humans, but if they get angered so easily by insults and trivial issues, what kind of higher beings are they!? These stories seem to have been made up by humans, plain and simple. After all, you can’t solve problems with the same mindset, let alone make stories of higher beings with the same human leveled mindset. Try to tell a fly to write a story, then I’ll believe it.

  • Hands down Sudarshan Chakra is very powerful…..Most powerful and fearsome energy is Lord Shiva’s Third Eye & then the Ultimate Weapon his Trident & all his Rudra Avatars which are Kaal Bhairav, Veerbhadra, Hanuman, etc So All Weapons represent the Kundalini Energy which is websiteised through various weapons
