The Muladhara chakra, located at the base of the spine, is associated with the earth element and grounding. It is linked to the unconscious mind, where our actions and experiences from past lives are stored. According to yoga philosophy, the ruler of the Muladhara chakra is the part-elephant, part-human god, Ganesh. This energy center governs our feelings of security and stability in the physical world, influencing our basic survival needs such as food, water, and shelter.
The first chakra in the chakra system, the Muladhara, is symbolized by a lotus with four petals and the color red. It forms the border between animal and human consciousness and is linked to the unconscious mind. Chanting the Root Chakra Mantra in yoga and meditation can awaken and activate this vital energy center, bringing balance to the chakra system.
The Muladhara chakra relates to the lower back, legs, feet, and the process of elimination. It is one of the seven primary chakras according to Hindu tantrism and is symbolized by a lotus with four petals and the color red. The Muladhara chakra connects us through our physical bodies to the energy of Mother Earth, which we feel through our senses.
The Muladhara chakra is crucial for feeling confident, full of energy, stable, and strong. Certain yoga poses can help balance and align the root chakra with the other chakras, such as the tarot, the chi, and the nidra. By understanding the characteristics and properties of the Muladhara chakra, individuals can better navigate their spiritual journey and achieve a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Very nice info given by Helios 7 below because I had the same question whether people with low back issues should do the bend, mostly it is advised by doctors not to do so in people with back issues. Please put info in your article about the same that people with back issues should not be doing these, but may be some other exercises that does not involve bending the back. Thanks
Amazing information. However, this Yoga pose should not be done by those who have spinal bulge, slip disk or any issues related to the spine. Even if you had any spinal issues and it is healed you should still not try this pose. However, it will work wonderful for those who are healthy and havent had any spinal issues or something similar. Thanks from Helios7
