Bad Omens is an American/Swedish metalcore band that broke through the metalcore ceiling with their 2016 self-titled debut album, “The Death of Peace of Mind”. The band, previously known as “Man Vs”, has gained significant popularity with their song “Just Pretend” currently having 146 million streams on Spotify. Their third studio album, “The Death of Peace of Mind”, was released in February 2022 and is out now via Sumerian Records.
Bad Omens discuss their genre-bending album “Finding God Before God Finds Me”, which explores themes of religion and mental health while stripping down their songs acoustically. Vocalist Noah Sebastian provides detailed track-by-track insights into Bad Omens’ third album, stating that they are more of a metalcore quartet than a rock band.
The band has always been classified in the Metalcore genre, with comparisons to Bring Me The Horizon and Beartooth. They have quickly grew a fan base with singles like “Exit Wounds” and “The Worst in Me”. Bad Omens’ approach to music is based on an unhealthy relationship between vocalist Noah Sebastian and his brother, but they have always been an alternative metal band.
Bad Omens’ music is influenced by various genres, including alternative metal, industrial metal, and metalcore. Their debut single, “The Worst in Me”, garnered attention from Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs. The band’s music profile includes their discography, songs, and music videos.
