The Sun’s transit into the sign of Scorpio, represented by the Scorpion, is a significant event in Vedic astrology. This transit has profound implications for one’s life, as it signifies intensity, passion, and regeneration. The Sun enters the Scorpio zodiac sign on November 16 (Vedic Astrology) or October 24 (Western Astrology). Natives born between October 22 and November 22 have Scorpio as their Sun sign according to the western Sayan system.
Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac (October 23–November 21), represented by the scorpion. In modern astrology, Scorpio is a fixed water sign ruled by Pluto. During this period, the Sun brings courage to stand up for one’s beliefs and ambitions, but it is important to avoid stubbornness and hurting others with speech.
The Sun moves from the Libra zodiac sign to the Scorpio zodiac sign on November 17, 2019. This cordial period is associated with Capricorns becoming more ambitious and working twice as hard. Financial gains are expected, and work-related challenges are likely to arise.
Astrologers do not agree on exact dates for the beginning or ending of the ages, with given dates varying by hundreds of years. On November 16, the Sun begins a 30-day transit into the Scorpio sign, where it will remain until December 16. The Sun, known as the king of all nine planets, is expected to transit in Scorpio on November 16, Monday.

What is Scorpio in Vedic astrology?
In Vedic astrology, the sign of Scorpio is often regarded as a symbol of despotic and courageous qualities. However, this perception contrasts with the “feminine” characteristics associated with this sign, which are characterized by deep emotions and a capacity to perceive the world through the lens of love. This understanding challenges the conventional notion of Scorpio as a sign associated with despotic and courageous traits.
What is the Sun transit in May 2024?
On May 25, 2024, the Sun will transit into the Rohini Nakshatra, the fourth Nakshatra in Vedic astrology. This nakshatra, ruled by the Moon, is considered significant in guiding emotions and feelings. The Sun’s movement through Rohini can be both positive and negative, depending on an individual’s birth chart and celestial body placement. This period can be a successful time for starting new projects, displaying leadership qualities, and achieving goals requiring courage, determination, and an aggressive approach.
However, Rohini’s recklessness and emotional nature may also manifest negatively, leading to impulsive actions, conflicts, or unwise decision-making. The Sun’s stay in Rohini Nakshatra encourages mindfulness and self-control, urging individuals to avoid unreasonable fights and rash decisions. Instead, use the red-hot energy for fruitful purposes, such as starting a new project, taking on leadership roles, or following a passion project aligned with aspirations.

How long does it take for the sun to pass through Scorpio?
Astrology suggests that each zodiac sign fits into a 30-degree slice of the sky, which multiplied by 12 adds up to 360 degrees. However, the constellations vary greatly in shape and size, making it difficult for astrological signs to align with the zodiac’s constellations. The main reason for this is the precession of the equinoxes, a wobble in the Earth’s rotational axis caused by the Earth’s rotation. The gravity of the Moon and Sun pulls on the bulge, causing the Earth to wobble like a top.
This movement over 25, 800 years causes the Earth’s axis to swing in a slow circle, causing the constellations to appear to slide to the east. Precession was discovered with the naked eye by Hipparchus of Nicaea around 150 B. C.

How do I know if I’m a Scorpio Sun?
Scorpio is a sign with a magnetic go-getter nature, known for being extremely private and intensely sexual. They are driven but locked into their belief systems, with a keen eye for world domination. Scorpios are comfortable with the darker side of life and death and can navigate big emotions and deep-rooted psychology.
The fixed water sign, Scorpio, is the same as Taurus, Aquarius, and Leo, but is rock-steady and achievement-oriented. They naturally get locked into a set pattern of behavior or perspective, making it challenging to redirect. Scorpios are spiritual, wise, and enchanting, inspiring and empowering individuals to live their truth. They are the politicians of the zodiac, with more U. S. presidents being Scorps. They may appear fearless and prickly at times, but they need to warm up and trust to open their hearts. Once they do, they will be connected with you for life.
Scorpios are deeply heartfelt and romantic, expressing their feelings in a poetic way.

This video is about planet Sun placement in the sign of Scorpio in Vedic Astrology. What is the impact of Sun in the sign of Scorpio …
In Western astrology I’m a Sagittarius, and I was dubious that I fit Scorpio. However, after this article, I can see it. I enjoy research, and my dad was an industrial engineer for the government. My Mars is in Libra, third house, and Dad treated me fairly. In Vedic astrology I have Saturn, Mercury, Sun, and Rahu in Scorpio, fourth house. Leo Moon and ascendent. Thanks for doing these articles.
Since you have a Taurus Ascendant, you will be attracted to Scorpio because Scorpio is the opposite sign of Taurus. If you look at an Astrological wheel, the sign on the other side of Taurus is Scorpio. Your 7th House is Scorpio and the 7th House represents the kind of partner you will be attracted to. I hope this helped 🙂
Things at home are more or less ‘normal’…but my mother usually keeps herself engrossed in the past that leads to unpredictable behaviour(mood-swings) at times..she mainly remains dissatisfied with the decisions(especially financial) that my father has taken…she is quite disease prone too..had a liver transplant recently..my relationship with mother is great(she too has moon in pisces). She loves, understands me more than anyone else.
Such quality articles I have watched many astrology articles but nothing like this one ! Keep them coming … I am a scorp and I feel every word you said. The anger part and the spiritual transformation part … your articles are helping me understand myself and bringing me to a place of acceptance… thank you
In the western system I used to have Sun in Aries & Moon in Scorpio which described it pretty well but switching to Vedic I am a Moon in Libra 19:33 (Swati-4). Another thing that constantly amazes me is the strength and speed of this brain inside my skull! I am a student of engineering. Throughout my life I have been covering subjects for my exams in a tiny fraction of the time my classmates need. Like a day of studying compared to a whole week or more (yes, I am a bit of a last minute person!)
I have sun in Scorpio, my mars is in cancer which is debilitated . I dont have good relationship with my father. In my childhood my father abused me psychologically. I am mentally disturbed, going through ketu mahadasha right now but ketu isn’t in good position. Ketu in 6th house, we have had a troubled, argumentative family life. I am so disturbed inside, angry too.
Your articles are endlessly instructive…I learn so much with each one.The mental image of upside-down turkey sex is a little scary, you gotta admit! Loved this one, have known oodles of Scorpios and with the Jyotish system,I’m no longer a sweet and fluffy Libra, but a Scorpio.Uh-oh. Makes alot of sense, honestly…love the Underworld of religion, secrets, delving deeply into internal workings and motivations, etc.Cool series, and I appreciate all of your wisdom and work creating these!
I’m the example of no sex if not deep mantra meaning and spirituality… and only now learning to harvest my sexual energies for myself correctly, I do wish it was used for good, but game over, I rule my energies from now one which will be distributed as evenly as possible… I’m back🤗🥳🤩🌟✨💫💖 Grateful again I am…
I just happened to see your thumbnail of this article while scrolling and decided to watch and really whatever information you gave it’s absolutely helpful. I have my sun and venus in Scorpio and my moon in Taurus in Vedic astrology and since Vedic astrology gives more importance to moon I always wondered what does my sun means if I’m a Taurus according to my Vedic birth chart. Because I was confused because firstly there’s zodiac sign and then Rashi so earlier I used to think zodiac and rashi are the same but now everything is clear
Kapiel, here is something that I very frustrated about. I am a Gemini Ascendandant with Ketu in 1st house Saturn in 8th in Capricorn Mars in 9th and Venus and Mercury in 10th in Pisces. Even though the sun in aries describes me pretty well, I feel that Scorpio sun also describes me pretty well too :/ I am extremely secretive, dont trust what people say and deeply interested in all things Scorpio (esoteric, meditation). I have no planets at all in Scorpio in Vedic system yet all this darkness..
Thank you for the Scorpio placement, the debilitated sun from the natal results in this placement in the Navamsa chart. I researched the Mars placement of the D9, & other astrology sites with this placement, compared it with my current tendencies & development indicate that my shyness & under confidence is starting to result in researching the mysteries of my connection to the universe, & understanding my own enslavement & how to wake up.
In my chart I have Sun (27.25 degrees) and Asc (02.34) in Scorpio first house obviously with mars in opposition in the 7th house Taurus (06.28) Ketu is in the 9th house in Cancer at 04.57 degree sitting with Jupiter also in 9th but at 19.34 degrees Cancer. What’s your take on this? I’m quite curious..
So… is there by any chance I would match a Scorpio guy…? (I always felt attracted towards a friend… 8 years passed since I graduated from school and now I met him again… and my gosh… I experienced the same feeling… I´m very social with other friends but I´m shy with him…) Because I have aquarius sun taurus asc… (I also have moon in libra, mars in aries, venus in sagitarius, jupiter in pisces…) Anyway, I wanted to know which signs would be potential as counterpart… Thanks!
well, relationship with father is good, no problems as such(can’t figure out how?). He is a senior government official(IFS) working for Govt. of India. My moon is in Pisces in 12th house(in mutual aspect with jupiter from 6th). And Mars(R) is in mutual aspect with Saturn & Venus from 10th house. Does this indicate a career in Civil Services(I mean IAS,IPS,IFS)?
Still cant figure out which is my real chart, vedic or western., i can relate to both in different ways. The western is very much how i am in the surface, and how i operate in my everyday life, while sidereal seem to describe how i am deep down. However, all these intense mars-like descriptions can be due to the aspects in my chart as i have many conjunctions and oppositions instead of it being from having scorpio dominants, which one could it be?
hahaha,i’m a huge fa of your website. the funny thing is that have the sun mars and mercury in the 10th house of scorpio, goi through the initial stage of jupiter dasha(7th house of leo) and what u said about *&^$# is true (born23/11/1991-12.33pm in quilon in kerala) a civil service aspirant … oh god!!!!
What makes Anil so special that you only reply to his comments and concerns? I’ve been patiently waiting for you to upload sun in Scorpio since you started this series. I was also first to comment and watch your article just to be ignored like 98% of everybody else which is totally unfair to the rest of your viewing audience..
Hey I have a question. Okay so I usually follow western astrology, but I have recently started considering sidereal astrology as well. In western my sun is at 1° sagittarius, so obviously in sidereal I am a scorpio. But my question is, does the sun also move backwards one house? Like for example, in western, my sun is in the 5tf house, so does that mean in sidereal my sun is in the 4th house?
Could you please clarify one thing, when you refer to Scorpio horoscope for example you refer by the vedic timeline (November through December) or the western one? I am a new -western- fan and thought I was a scorpio (born on the 27th of October). Am I one? Cause I really feel like one 🙂 Thanks in advance
Idk…my fathers didn’t seem like the investigative types – my dad was a truck driver (wasn’t around much of my life until recently); my stepdad who raised was quiet and redrawn around me, but he was affectionate the times he did speak to me. I can’t really say if he was investigative. I bumped heads with them both on a lot of issues, but I guess they did always compromise and mellow out afterwards or at least held their peace. lol.
I’m sun scorpio, moon sagittarius, ascendant Leo. Ive always felt a strong 6th sense type of thing with knowing when people are lying or just when anythings off in the slightest bit, it’s like a Taken movie Liam Neeson being able to spot little things that give the bad dudes away (to a lesser extent for me😁). I’m not too secretive like a lot of Scorpion though, I’m an open book. Ascending Leo however is a curse and a blessing I’ve been told by other “naturally intuitive”? people that I have a natural charm that literally draws people in, even though some just call it me being a hoe either way couldn’t care less.
