Summoner spells in League of Legends are based on the player’s summoner level, with players starting with two spells at level one. As they reach new levels, they unlock new spells up to level 9. The top two spells every Summoner needs to use are Barrier and Ghost.
All champions have access to two abilities called Summoner Spells, which can be changed by entering a game and following a series of steps. In an ARAM team, only one champion with Clarity is needed, as having more than one Clarity user is a waste of Summoner Spells. Heal is good for ADCs, while Barrier is good for support. Cleanse is good for all champions.
Summoner spells are chosen during Champion Select before the start of the game, with each player allowed two chosen from a list. Flash is arguably the most important summoner spell in League of Legends, as it allows players to blink a short distance in any direction. As long as an Item or Action doesn’t force any movement, casting, crowd control, or channeling, players can use it while channeling without interrupting the spell.
The “Postponed spell” system is a quality of life spell cast buffering feature that all champions should have. Hwei’s unique way of spell casting made Flash the most important summoner spell in League of Legends, as it allows players to blink a short distance in any direction. Summoner spells are picked during Champion Select at the beginning of any game mode, even in the Practice Tool.
