Lamb of God, a heavy metal band, has announced their ninth album, Omens, due on October 7, 2022. The album, produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, was released in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their tour schedule. The band will celebrate Omens’ release with a performance at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California, and will be on the road in the U.S. and Europe through December 21.
The album, which debuted at 15 on the Billboard 200 during the charting week of October 22, 2022, is not a reinvention but a reminder of everything Lamb of God have excelled at throughout the last two decades. The album will be available to pre-order and will be released through Epic Records and Nuclear Blast.
The band will also release a short film documenting the recording of their Omens album, “The Making Of: Omens”, which premiered on October 6. The album is a product of its time, as the band’s previous album, Lamb of God, was released in June 2020, making it their first full-length in five years and first release with Cruz.
In addition to their album, Lamb of God will release the documentary “Making Of: Omens” for the first time via YouTube on October 7. The album is a testament to the band’s ability to deliver exceptional music and continue their success over the past two decades.

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and that are in the sea, I heard saying, blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him that sits on the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever.
