So yesterday April 5th my daughter was walking in the woods at Bears Den in New Salem Massachusetts and in the middle of a brook there was a rock with a orange mushroom growing on it and she took a picture of it and sent it to me. I was surprised to see a mushroom this time of year and I was thinking that it was way to early and cold for a mushroom to grow. I was wondering if you have seen or heard of this happening or if its a rare occurrence.
