Forsaken altars are permanent structures used to summon bosses in Valheim, each with its own altar that requires the sacrifice of specific items. To locate a Mystical Altar, you must offer two Deer Trophies, which can be obtained as drops from the marked location. Each boss must be summoned at their specific type of Altar, and the only way to find out the location of such Altars is by interacting with Vegvisir runestones, the small glowing red stones.
To summon the first Forsaken, place five Fuling Totems in the center of Yagluth’s Mystical Altar. Upgrade your skills, weapons, and armor before proceeding. Eikythr is found in the Meadows and is the first boss to fight in Valheim. You can find the first boss through the red stone at the starting area of the game, which will place a marker on your map where you will find a Mystical Altar. To summon the boss of this area, you will need to find and interact with a Vegvisir, a glowing red runestone that will transcribe the Altar’s location on the map.
To find the nearest Mystical Altar, explore the Black Forest until you stumble upon a Vegvisir runestone. After arriving at the marked location, you will find a Mystical Altar and offer two Deer Trophies. Eikthyr’s Forsaken altar is located in the Meadows, and interacting with it will place a marker on the map over his Mystical Altar.
