  • After not using any type of grease or blue magic product since I was a kid, I decided to try the Indian Hemp one since the ingredients sounded nice and I wanted something to hold in moisture better than my castor oil/rosemary oil/olive oil homemade mix was doing. Just like you said, it smells great! My hair stopped shedding as much. It stays moisturized longer and it isn’t greasy. I as afraid it would stain my bonnet or pillow but it doesn’t do it any more than my other products- maybe less. I was already blown away by them having the Indian Hemp. I was like-wow, Blue Magic got with the times. I was so stunned to see you pull out all those blue magics. Who knew?!

  • My hair is so hard to manage and I always used the, basic blue magic every one has, I have like a 3b hair but its very bushy. I used everything I could it wont just be slicked back. Dandruff (i do have) is a HASSEL I tried head and shoulders and everything my hair is so big that I used the whole bottle in 2 weeks. but yeah, I did not know in how much products blue magic has.<3

  • Okay so even though I would love to see you try all these products yourself, even I know that would be a lot of products and a lot of articles to do, so thanks at least for posting this article. The Blue Magic with castor oil, baby, let me tell you, your reaction to the scent made me want to try it (i’m a sucker for scents), and I love it in my hair more than the regular Blue Magic. On my hair the castor oil BM is less greasy, yet it provides the same shine and detangle factor I love about the original BM, but I love the scent of the castor oil more than the original. So I get almost the same product but with a better more tolerable scent. Thanks for the vid!

  • Remember when we use blue grease and water in our hair wow we really didn’t know what we’re doing 😭 Edit: by we didn’t know what we were doing I don’t mean you don’t know what you were doing if you use blue grease. I still use blue grease today myself I’m just talking about me because when I use blue grease I would not manipulate my hair at all and leave it in those big chunky twists so it would grow, And I wouldn’t use it as a seal in like it was supposed to be used since it’s grease I would use it instead of water when my head was dry I wouldn’t give it any moisture and it was just an overall mess. And I wouldn’t even have a proper wash schedule or may of wash my hair too often so my hair really was struggling

  • Lol I just bought a bunch of varieties, mix all of them together in a big tub. Now I have grease for years lol, and hopefully I get all the benefit from all. I have the Argan oil, castor oil, shea butter, hemp, tea tree. It’s so expensive on Amazon. Growing up my mom used to mix the bergamot with castor oil.

  • First time I’ve grown my hair out I’m 43. I love it already. Only 8 months in. Started noticing breakage. Don’t like it lol. So I randomly bought blue magic conditioner hairdress at the store and researched later lol. Came across your blue magic article from last year and this one. Thanks for the insight. I feel happier now that I didn’t make a dumb decision. I’ll try some of their other products too now. Thanks 😊

  • I “C” your edges coming back 😭😭😭 I recently recovered from Covid it took 24 days once I got better I noticed my edges thinned out really back but only on one side of my head because hair loss can be a side effect in women who recovered from Covid. This just made me laugh because I survived weak edges and ALL 🤣 now I have a bald spot on the side of my head so I’ll be getting that blue magic castor oil. Thank you for this review. If you still have it send it my way I’ll be happy to use it.

  • I used Blue Magic coconut, B&B castor oil moisturizer and B&B indian hemp crease in my daughter’s hair for her entire childhood. I washed her hair with Cream of Nature. Her hair was to her butt by the time she was 8 years old. I didn’t use any other products. They all went into the christmas popcorn tin “the hair bucket” along with all of her barrettes. I also dipped the brush into hot water for every ponytail.

  • I have my go to when it comes to Blue Magic and no review can ever lead me astray. I love my blue magic vitamin E leave-in conditioner, Blue Magic Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Hair Skin and scalp moisturizer, absolutely adore my blue magic Indian hemp and always have the o.g. blue Grease in my cabinet just in case period. But I must say this review was really great, it won’t change my mind but it was definitely entertaining and I loved perusal it❤️

  • I love the purple leave in conditioner (Argan Oil Herbal Complex) smells AMAZING!!! The coconut oil smells good too. The leave in conditioners are water based which is good for dry hair. The curl activator is so-so. But I grew up on and still use Blue Magic products. They are in the more affordable price point.

  • Hey! Will! Hey! Boy! Hey! You telling it like it is. But 18 kinds of blue magic! Wow! You are taking me back to my childhood when u get your hair braided or pressed by hot comb in summer time in hot sun and u can smell the grease in your hair or braids. While still trying to keep your hair pretty and neat looking! LoL!!! You are so funny! I am here for it all!

  • I thought I tried most of their greases but I guess not. For me the coconut oil is the best, I like the green one, the blue one is pretty average in but still good and I dont like the castor oil and super sure growth(made my scalp feel dry despite being greasy as hell). I’m curious about the petroleum jelly I love an all purpose product and the shae butter.

  • A lot of those are really old like from the 70’s and 80’s, the ones with argon oil and coconut oil are newer. But you need to look at the ingredients because they may but the good ingredients on the front but they only put a little bit of it inside. But great article, I love your articles, you are just hilarious.

  • Baby I had no clue there were all those Blue Magic products either until I went to Remy Co. They got ALL the Magic hun! I know your in my area so if you want hair, skin, nails, products but not Sally Beauty Supply prices that’s the place to go they have every weave ever created, almost exclusively only black haircare products and it’s HUGE! They tend to have the products I normally can only find online.

  • I used blue magic on my hair the other day for fun to moisture my whole head while putting my hair in braids for a wig. The blue magic literally sat on top of my hair. 2 week later after I took my braids down my hair was still greasy and was breaking a lot. Blue magic I rate 2/10. Literally did nothing but made my hair greasy

  • I never knew all these blue magic product existed, although I never really paid much attention to that BUT I’ve always seen the hair Food and caster oil because that s what I’ve grown up using and knowing but I did gleamed some other ones a time but didn’t notice the name but NOW when I go to Town I would definitely go see what other blue magic products is in my Country Grenada. But anyway thanks Will👍🏽😁, I really like and enjoy this article, your so funny and informative. Can’t wait for more.

  • I have the original blue magic and just now bought and started using the Indian hemp ❤️🙌🏽. And both does wonders, I honestly don’t know why we moved away from grease. It’s like all the new hair guru’s got away from grease but now going back to it . Our mothers knew what they were doing it our hair .

  • I’m from the south and honestly the blue magic original has been a southern secret since they dropped the line. I’m a late 90s baby and I grew up seeing all my elders, all the hair salons and my mom used it. I have a soft wave texture but if I don’t use grease my hair breaks off real bad and it’s extreme at the crown. Im from the delta and my family is black Nigerian- congo(slave trade), Indian (delta indians Chickasaw) & whales(slave owner).. my grandma indian ponytail down her back used blue magic. It helps keeps the hair nice and full.

  • I’ve only used the green. I don’t do twist outs or anything to my hair. I oil my scalp 3 times a week and my hair is very manageable. I use BM leave in along with lavender water in the mornings and scrunch my hair. My curls have never popped until now. I will have to try some of the other brands you have mentioned. Thank you 💖

  • Love love love this content!! Im Moroccan and have 3c hair and have been using the bergamot for over 20 years! My children have 4a pattern and the bergamot also does wonders for their growth and curl pattern. I once used the Castor one for my children and noticed severe knots. I think because of the beeswax in it! Im super stoked to try the olive and shea ones❤

  • I’ve tried the original (blue) super sure gro, castor oil and the carrot leave in. Don’t like the leave in (too watery) BUT that castor oil and the super sure gro had my hair growing like crazy. I wish I could post pics on here. I had a nice health Afro. I stopped using the super sure gro because of the little flakes of tea tree in it. My hair broke off 😭😭😭😭 I’m back to using it and my hair has started growing back again. I have some Indian hemp in my cabinet to try and when my super sure gro runs out I’m going to try it

  • I went back to grease and I use the BMO Super Sure Gro due to I have grey hair and don’t want the color the other greases to stain my hair but now I see they have castor oil that is light I might have to try that one. Listening to other people will sometimes have us getting rid of things that are not broken. Thank you for sharing.

  • Just trying to navigate which Blue Magic Hair product to use on my natural 4C hair. In reviewing the article and reading comments, it’s mentioned that the originals are good but there is an Original Super Sure Gro, Original Indian Hemp and Original Castor Oil. Not to mention the Organic versions as well. Which one should I use keep my hair from feeling so dry? There are too many Blue Magic hair products out there.

  • 1. Indian Hemp 2. Coconut Oil 3. Shea butter (I haven’t tried it yet but it’s coming in soon and from what people have told me, that’s gon be nr 3) I didn’t like the blue, and the castor .. and Sure Gro is a bit too stiff for me as well. I do love the green but the smell got nauseating at some point, it’s good tho!

  • This is a great article. Thank you for this. I have the coconut oil and to be honest I did not know of the others. I am a guy and am trying to grow waves. I am going to try Olive, Bergumont, Shey and castor. I have used regular castor oil which is THICK and it makes my beard look fuller so I love it for that. Thanks again and I like your style. Oh that word is lanolin pronounced lan (land without the d) o lin like a girls name. lan-o-lin. I hope that helps.

  • I actually use Blue Magic Pressing oil as my grease. It’s not actually an oil and it looks just like the blue Blue Magic but feels a little lighter. I bought it to press my hair but my hair reverted so quickly so I tossed it aside. Recently I wanted to use some grease as a lubricant on my ends and the pressing oil was all I had. It is hands down my favorite for non straightening application. It has all of the good stuff: petrolatum, mineral oil, and lanolin!😂

  • 1. Indian Hemp- That candy smell, tho! 2. Shea Butter- Ingredients and fragrance on 10! 3. Tie between Castor and Super Gro: Great ingredients and fragrance! I wish I could use these in my daughter’s hair but because she has such sensitive skin, the fragrances activate her eczema so I have to use plain ole Vaseline to seal in her leave-ins! Thank you for the reviews and I’m excited to try Blue Magic Petrolatum for my hair since it has fragrance!

  • I have the original blue magic myself and I was thinking about trying another one for hair growth. I really want to stop my hair from thinning out so it can grow. I’m persuaded to buy Blue Magic Organics SuperGro but before that I considered the purest and lightest formula, Petroleum Jelly or Coconut which is safe and meant for children or babies under 2 yrs old. But I’m far from that age and all of the Blue Magic hair greases prevent breakage or do something to help it grow better. So, for me the best choices I would make are the first 4 or 5 choices you mentioned or up to the Hair Food. At one point, I even considered Indian Hemp because I’m looking for herbs in my hair grease. Herbs in oil are good for hair growth, but I’ll try the hot oil treatment with herbs instead of the Indian Hemp (too hard for me). Beside I can buy herbs and “DIY” mix it or melt it with grease in a separate bowl.

  • Great article! ❤️💯 The only Blue Magic I’ve used is the BLUE jar (your #1). It’s made my hair thicker, shiner, and I don’t have as much breakage as before. 🤗 After seeing this I’m definitely going to try the blue magic Castor oil grease. Thanks for giving us this breakdown of ALL their types. #NewSubscriber ✔️🙏🏽❤️

  • I went for the original and back to pomades in the first place because I didn’t want natural oils in any of my hair products (seborrheic dermatitis things). I’ll just stick with it haha. And then I noticed my hair was retaining the same thickness from root to ends, my hair has never grown past ~6 inches because Its always breaking off OR (after i discovered natural hair movement, it’s trending products and oils) I’m always trimming thinning ends… All the money I wasted and I could have bought £3 hair pomade?💀😭. I messed up my hair growth a couple years back, but it’s getting back on track again and once again I’m seeing my hair retain thickness.

  • I feel like all the greases do the same thing which is just growing hair cuz I hate having to pick from like 5 different greases it’s hard but when I looked at the ingredients they all had damn near the same ingredients my fav is the shea butter I literally could eat it and the carrot oil protein one the putty leave in conditioner I like

  • Okay so you may be able to help guide me to the right grease.🤣🤣 So my hair is color treated and I am almost platinum blonde. I am looking for a grease that will keep my hair from breaking, length retention, and keeping moisture, because high porosity hair doesnt keep it in very well😬😬. I was looking bewteen the Olive Oil anti breakage protien one and the carrot oil. I do know that I want protein to put back into my hair but I cant choose…..in need of help lol🤣
