Which Chakra Addresses Panic Attacks?

The root chakra, located in the tail bone and associated with red color, is the foundation of all other energy centers. It is crucial for promoting overall mental and emotional well-being. Understanding the connection between anxiety and chakras is essential for achieving inner calm and tranquility. The main chakras associated with anxiety and panic include the Root Chakra, which deals with grounding and survival, and the Crown Chakra, which connects the body to the Earth.

Emotional problems affecting the Neck Chakra include poor communication, arrogance, gossips, and secrets. Chakra healing is an alternative approach that can positively impact individuals suffering from various forms of anxiety, including panic attacks, social anxiety, and symptoms related to trauma or depression. To balance the first chakra and reduce anxiety, rub your feet and legs with lotion or oil.

Panic attacks often bring intense fear and insecurity, hitting the root chakra, which is connected to the adrenal medulla, the inner part of the adrenal gland responsible for fight or flight. Feeling unsafe and in fear for your life will shut down the root chakra, blocking any movement of energy from the root chakra through the body. Anxiety can come from an imbalance in either the root chakra (at the tail bone) or the crown chakra (at the top of the head where your soft spot was as a baby).

The root chakra is the first energy wheel and deals with such issues, so balancing it is the first step towards spiritual awakening and solving. Physical symptoms of a blocked Root Chakra include lethargy, panic attacks or anxiety, digestive disorders, and health problems in the colon.

The three main chakras can become imbalanced/blocked, leading to anxiety: the root chakra (feelings of safety), the solar plexus chakra (the seat of your power), and the third eye chakra (anxiety chakra). By learning to balance these chakras, individuals can achieve inner calm and tranquility and conquer anxiety today.

What chakra releases fear?

Chakras are a system of chakras that correspond to different emotions, such as fear, guilt, shame, grief, lies, illusion, and attachment. These emotions can be released through specific asanas. The first chakra, located at the base of the spine, is associated with survival and foundation, while the second chakra, below the navel, is related to sexuality and creativity. Leg-engaging and hip-opening postures can help release trapped energy in these areas, while back-bending, shoulder-opening, and twists can enhance these energy states. By incorporating these techniques into our daily practice, we can better manage and release our emotional pain.

What is the root chakra of anxiety?

Our chakras, or energy centers, can develop imbalances, particularly after traumatic experiences, leading to feelings of depression, anxiety, insecurity, instability, and off-centerness. The root chakra, our first chakra, represents our sense of safety and security, governing our survival and instincts. When healthy, balanced, and in alignment, we feel supported, guided, and protected by our inner strength and higher power. This leads to confidence in ourselves, a sense of connection to our purpose, and the ability to set clear goals.

However, when our root chakra is imbalanced, we can feel ungrounded and uncentered, experiencing low self-esteem, low self-esteem, and overly anxious. We may also lack emotional and financial support from ourselves, others, and the world as a whole. This can result in feelings of self-assurement and peace, as well as struggles with self-doubt, guilt, and shame. These emotional difficulties can persist for years and contribute to our overall emotional health.

Which chakra holds trauma?

Which chakra holds trauma?

The root chakra is a fundamental energy center that is shaped by various events, including financial traumas, loss of home or land, and relocations. These traumas can lead to the belief that the world is dangerous and that we are victims of it. This can result in feelings of anxiety, a desire for a predictable life, and a lack of acceptance of life’s experiences.

However, all traumas are a root chakra phenomenon, and the unbalanced root chakra often harbors unrealistic hope that it will never undergo sudden and unpredictable changes. This accumulation of traumatic incidents can lead to a “no” to life, preventing us from fully embracing life’s experiences. This can sometimes lead to escapism and fantasy.

A significant portion of our mental turbulence is the result of untreated traumas stored in the root chakra. Unresolved memories can also transform into physical pains that spread throughout areas governed by the root chakra, such as legs, feet, and the muscular and skeletal systems. By addressing these root chakra traumas, we can better navigate life and navigate the challenges that come our way.

  • I dont why I feel like crying while perusal this article. I am feeling so much better. It fascinates me how people know what I (/anyone)want to hear and how they put that in the exact same words.. like they can read our minds. Sometimes, we are unable to put our feelings and thoughts in words but while listening to them there is this inner voice which says “oh this is exactly what I was going thru” . I feel so seen. Thank you so much 🙏

  • For the last 1 month i have been getting a panic attack for nearly 6-7 times a day. 😢I have seen so many articles of how to deal with this. But i felt relief after hearing the solution from you. You are the most positive person i have ever seen. The way you deliver your message is so positive. Thank you so much for your sincere advice. 😊

  • I have been facing panic disorder for a year now. Panic attacks are the worst. The first time I had a panic attack, I was so sure that I was having a heart attack but it turned out to be a panic attack. Then I started to have several panic attacks over the week and I was so afraid that I was going to die. But after having several panic attacks finally I was diagnosed with panic disorder. Only then I realised mental health issues. So everyone takes care. So do not stress yourself and get anxious.

  • Oh my god, hansaji. Your articles helped me stay sane and pain free. I was suffering with severe sciatica pain and stumbled upon your article, I practiced the yogic postures you recommended and I’m pain free at the moment. I’m however suffering with anxiety and I stumbled upon this article now, I’m sure I’ll become stronger from within. Anxiety is dangerous, especially if you have history of heart disease in the family. Take care folks Thank you hansaji 🙏

  • Very well explained, I just had a panick attack and noticed there was a sharp pain (left side of chest) though momentarily, I put on the pulse oximeter and noticed heart rate was 234, It was very confusing hands and feet were cold though not shivering, I knew I’ve to divert my concentration, so I’m currently writing my experience here, and the simple controlled breathing was of great help.

  • I am also having panic attacks because of the work pressure that i had at my office and Iam unable to sleep While sleeping i have hot panic attack which there is a massive increase in heart rate and then i have turned youtube on and search for what to fo at the time of panic attack and then i found this article which is very useful and it helped for me

  • I was never a scared child. And it never happened that I would get scared of anything, but now in the middle of 2 months I got two panic attacks. First attack was very dangerous it was scary and then I didn’t even know what is panic attack but was doing my studies in a day suddenly i started feeling like i felt something bad is going to happening it increase my heart beat It was getting faster, I thought I was going to die. Tears were coming from my eyes. Even after breathing quickly, I feel that I am not breathing. I was breathing very fast and still there was suffocation inside. My chest was pounding, I felt that someone could take my heart out of my chest because it was beating very fast, I was crying I was feeling dizzy, I was trembling, I felt my mother’s face and I thought this was my last time. But no one in the house paid attention to what I am doing, what is happening to me. I closed my eyes, tried to calm my heart, I did myself well by taking a long deep breath, then it took me an hour to become normal. But I was very confused that what had happened then came to know । And today I just got another panic attack. I was happy after listening to the song, suddenly again a feeling came that something bad is going to happen, slowly it has increased today I felt that I should not die today. I don’t want to die and I’ve had childhood trauma, so it’s probably affecting me now.

  • the first time when I got my panic attack I totally lost my mind, my whole body become numb, I was not able to feel my self, i taught I ll die that day. I was confused what happened to me. Consulted doctors the very next morning. Report was all good. It came 2nd time, most probably due to the fear that engulfed me in the first attacked. Thn I shared my condition to a frind. She told me it was a panic attack. Since than I started doing breathing exercises which helped me a l0t however . It still hit sometimes, when I am at k ow. To all those who have been through so much in life, don worry just keep on fighting. We all are warriors. Don let the fear consumed us. More power to all.

  • I am having anxiety attacks in the night for the past few months since I contracted COVID-19. Don’t know whether it is due to that as I had never experienced it before! My chest gets very uncomfortable and there is pain radiating to the arms as well. Only meditation has brought some calm to my mind during and after an anxiety attack. Thankful to this article..

  • Nice article but not practical because panic attacks are a deep subject and have to be handled with meditation, practical action and if suggested basic medication. Most effective meditations are Sadguru inner engineering, Vipaasna and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar art of living because the misfiring of neurons in the brain have to be reprogramed. A strong determination is needed. Sometimes the cure is fast but at times it takes a few years. Good news is that panic attacks and disorders can be healed.

  • Madam, I use to watch listen to all ur articles recently. I use to have panic attack mostly during night time. At that time I will feel very restless and will roam here and there. Then will go near pooja room and apply vibudhi. It will take atleast 15to 20 min to come back to normal. Madam, due to this I was also afraid to take covid vaccination. Yesterday when I was praying I got a idea of writing sriramajayam if I get panic and this article and advice will bring me to normal. Thank you very much from my heart.

  • Anxiety and Panic disorder has destroyed my life, the Biggest problem i have is suffering from extreme anxiety which happends during the night everyday whilst i attempt to sleep. I have this feelings of fear which persistently stop me from sleeping, i don’t know why they keep coming up, maybe because it’s dark in my bedroom and my eyes are closed. This has led to severe depression, IBS and the fear of going to sleep at night. Dr Hansaji is absolutely correct when she say’s “panic attacks will turn you into a statue”….It’s pure torture. My Joy and happiness has been robbed by this experience as my quality of life has been effected, it feels as though i have been possessed since June 2023, this is how long it has been happening.

  • Respected Doctorjee, Namaskaar. I have a friend who was taking care of his 89 years old mother. She passed away a few months back. She was taking ayurvedic medicines for her chronic/recurrent kapha, hypothyroidism, hypertension, cardiomegaly, acidity etc., as prescribed by the doctor. During her last four days or so, my friend’s mother had recurrent vomiting and most food and medicines came out most of the times, though half teaspoonful Rajanyadi Churnam with honey was given twice daily as prescribed by her Ayurveda doctor to stop the vomiting. Three days before her death, she had temporary tilting of her head and face to one side briefly for some time. After a few minutes her head and face regained normal position. After a few minutes my friend took her to her room to lie down. As she was in the room, my friend’s brother and his mother’s attendant woman conversed; my friend’s brother said to the attendant woman, “When some one’s head tilts, it is an indication that death is certain in a few days”. The attendant woman replied that a few days before her father died, his head also tilted. Their conversation was in Tamil and my friend’s mother knew Tamil. It didn’t strike to my friend to ask them not to talk like that. This happened some time around 11a.m on 19 June 2022. She passed away on 22 June 2022 at about 8 p.m and cremated on the next day. Following were her blood pressure (BP) and pulse rate (PR) readings during her last few days: 19 June 2022: 9 a.m: BP: 169/85. Pulse Rate: 70.
