📹 Magic Mouse 2: Worth It In 2024?
The Apple Magic Mouse has always been a very controversial product. Some dislike it for its ergonomics and lightning port …
So if you wanted to use this without bluetooth but corded you can’t? It amazes me the Apple is so incredible when designing most things but some things they are completely inept. The magic keyboard has this port on the back so you can use both corded and bluetooth. Love their keyboard and was thinking of getting this mouse but now. Forget it.
The magic mouse falls into a category of products where the aesthetics were taken more into account than actual usability of the product. Even with it’s current hardware design (maybe minus the incredibly old sensor and terrible quality omron switch it uses) it could’ve had software features that set it apart from other mice, but unfortunately they didn’t really do anything that innovative with this mouse and overall it falls victim to the fact that they didn’t think the fundamental idea out fully before developing and releasing it. It’s portability and ease of use on laptops is almost completely voided by Apple’s excellent implementation of trackpads into macbooks, to the point where they created a trackpad for their desktop computers.
