I noticed a lot of people complained that this series was a big infomercial for the palette which…. yeah, that was basically the whole point. I mean, they took us through the whole process, advertising the whole thing. It’s a big, in depth commercial. There really isn’t anything to complain about. It’s a business oriented series with some lifestyle inside it.
Here’s the thing. I tried to buy the collection, but I couldn’t snag anything. I spent hours off my day trying and it didn’t happen. I realized after the series that I know the Mini Controversy isn’t for me. I wouldn’t use the blues in it, and it’s not worth they money for me. The colors of the Conspiracy shadows, although personal to Shane and I understand why he went there, they are just not colors that I would want to use every day.
I have a 2month old boy and I was feeding him and clicking freaking refresh on that page like a crazy person. I am not the type to spend over 50$ for make-up, but as Andrei said, I felt included. I’ve been following Shane since I was in high-school (over 10 years now) and “met” and fell in love with Jeffree though Shanes’s series last year. They are really brilliant. I did not get the pallet, but it’s a permanent collection and diapers cost a lot anyway 😂.
I don’t think some people get that they did all of these colors on the palette for people to dip into color. I mean I’m okay with people not liking the palette but my point is that they don’t understand what was put into this palette. You can blend the shades to make a new look. Conspiracies are supposed to be a mess but they can make a little connection.
People are being a bit too judgemental about the pallet… there are many colours for everyday use and colours for like parties and that’s what makes the palette amazing as they tried to put both casual and out there colours for everyone to enjoy. 👍🏼 I was lucky to get my hands on it and it is still shipping now…
As a makeup artist I really wanted the conspiracy palette because of the range of colours and it usability. However I thought the mini controversy palette isn’t that versatile, especially with the blues, when it’s a travel size. That’s what showed me that this was them knowing people would just buy for the hype of things. Who just carries blue eyeshadow in a purse palette?
