Monster Hunter World Behemoth is a powerful monster that deals Thunder and Fire Element Damage, making it resistant to both. To defeat it, a Tank or Evasion Tank is essential, along with Lance, IG, and shield users. The shield has a 180 degree blocking angle, and it deals good damage with its shelling attack. High stamina is crucial to block Behemoth’s attacks, and players should aim to dish out damage when an opening appears.
As a tank, Health Boost 3 is recommended to prevent one-shots, and guards (and guard up) for shield weapons or Evade Window/Extender for non-shield weapons. Behemoth has access to five different spells: meteor, comet, thunderbolt, charybdis, and ecliptic. To unlock the Behemoth quest, players must reach at least Hunter Rank 16, which means they have completed the main story.
To fight Behemoth, players must complete the Special Assignment “Visitor from Another” and be HR 16 (complete the story). Guard Up blocks everything except the bleeding slam, so players must dodge through it with i-frames or avoid it by being underneath its neck. Gunlance tanks are the best choice, and Charge Blade users with charged shields or Heavy Bowgun users with shield attachments can also work.
In addition to guarding, players generally need one shield mod and guard up to maintain good DPS when facing elder dragons or Behemoth. Lances with Guard 5, Guard Up, and Super Recovery are the optimal hate channelers, while others focus on doing as much damage as possible. This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for dealing with the mighty Behemoth.
📹 BEHEMOTH GUIDE & TIPS – Monster Hunter World
After fighting Behemoth in Monster Hunter World several times I figured I’d share my experience with the fight. Hopefully this helps …
Do traps work on Behemoth?
In this fight against Behemoth, players must bring specific items such as lifepowder, flash pods, and flash bugs to help their teammates heal. The Temporal Mantle is also useful, but be careful not to take traps as Behemoth is immune to them.
The fight is intended for a full squad, with one player taking on the role of a tank. The tank must attack the Behemoth’s head using ranged weapons or slingshot ammunition, attracting “emnity” to the tank. If the Behemoth has line of sight on the person with emnity, it will be represented by a small text prompt and a red line from its eyes to the offending player’s hunter. Bladed weapons are generally better than blunt weapons, but the relative safety of attacking from afar is also attractive.
Like Final Fantasy games, the fight against Behemoth will include text boxes warning players about upcoming spells, allowing them to prepare in advance or know when to dodge. Teams must assign roles, with one being a tank role to gain Behemoth’s enmity by repeatedly poking at its head with melee or ranged weapons. Status effects can reset the aggro, so ensure you are the one bashing the Behemoth’s head to regain it as soon as possible.
Hackering off the tail of the Behemoth is crucial as it severely reduces its range.
What is the weakest monster in Monster Hunter world?
Kirin, a popular elder dragon in the Monster Hunter series, is a unicorn with lightning and a unicorn horn for attacking opponents. Unlike most elder dragons, Kirin lacks physical attacks, making it a “one trick pony”. Despite its limited move set, Kirin is a capable foe compared to weaker dragons.
Ceadeus, a classic monster of Monster Hunter 3, is a weak elder dragon that players fight underwater. Although it is peaceful and incapable of traveling on land, Ceadeus’s size and power are limited. Players must avoid Ceadeus’s ramming attacks and water beam in a lackluster fight that does not pose a challenge.
Is Behemoth the hardest monster in MHW?
The Extreme Behemoth, a titan in the Monster Hunter World series, is a formidable foe that ranks as the hardest monster. Found in the Elder’s Recess, it is resistant to thunder and fire, has a massive amount of HP, and can cause bleeding and lob meteors. To approach this nightmarish enemy, a fully stocked party of highly trained killers is required.
Rajang, a demonic goat gorilla from the deepest depths, is one of the strongest enemies in Monster Hunter Rise. It is not only one of the fastest but also one of the strongest, closing the distance between itself and its enemies quickly. Rajang can also fry monster hunters with lightning strikes and stunlock them.
The final boss of Monster Hunter Rise’s hub questline is the fight with the Elder Dragon, Thunder Serpent Narwa. This titanic encounter is split into three phases, with devastating telekinetic and thunder attacks, physical strikes, and a constantly changing pattern of attack. To stand a chance, players must know each phase inside out and study each phase thoroughly.
Can you solo Behemoth?
This guide focuses on farming Behemoth without killing it, a safer method that can be achieved using Plunderblade. The Bowgun is used to fight Behemoth, which will not let your cat carve it up. If you have a slice build on the Empress Shell “Styx”, aim for Behemoth’s tail, which should come off quickly and be harvested. After that, load Sticky Ammo Level Two and aim for the head, stuning or putting it to sleep. Keep going for the head and breaking its horns.
Plunderblade will provide parts from the tail, horns, and other parts. The claw is missing, so attack Behemoth’s forelegs when it is stunned or asleep and try to break it. Once all parts are broken and Plunderbladed, run away from the monster. The goal is not to engage Behemoth in a drawn-out fight, but to get his parts and return to base. If more parts are needed, restart the fight and repeat the process. Farming a Monster Hunter monster is not glamorous, but the prize is well worth it.

Behemoth, a powerful beast from Final Fantasy, is weakest to Dragon elements and moderately weak to Ice and Water. It is a challenging test for any hunter, and may require strategies from the Final Fantasy universe. How to fight behemoth MHW?
Behemoth’s face is the main weakness for Gunners and Hammer users, with a three-star weakness to its face. Bullets and arrows don’t bounce on the horns, making them ideal for attacking the head. During a successful hunt, the three ranged hunters focused on the head, while the Charge Blade user focused on the front paws. The player stuck to the tail, causing the monster to run away.
Hitting Behemoth’s mug allows a player to draw enmity from the monster, as indicated by the telltale red line from monster-to-player borrowed from Final Fantasy XIV. This benefits three other players by allowing them to attack Behemoth without worrying about being attacked and stopping Behemoth from using certain attacks. Drawing aggro also allows the tank to lead Behemoth away from comet rocks, preventing destruction while maintaining a close enough distance to reach them if the monster casts Ecliptic Meteor.
How do you destroy Behemoth solo?
It is possible to engage the enemy from outside the patrol area using three or four rockets to remove the majority of armor, followed by the use of the Barrett with 60 to 70 rounds. However, it is of the utmost importance to avoid the mortars that are fired.
Can you block behemoth MHW?
In Area 3, Behemoth has a pin ability that can be avoided with a single roll. However, the narrow window of opportunity for this roll makes it difficult to execute successfully. Furthermore, this ability cannot be blocked by any shield weapon, even with Guard Up.

The next in my series of Monster Guides for Monster Hunter World is here with the Behemoth! I go over the monster and how to …
Definitely fantastic! You make it sound as simple as it could get, I really think people should be paying more attention to your guides! Still, it’s remarkable that even you acknowledge this thing would be a challenge for a solo hunt, and kind of hilarious that so many people recommend flashing; it’ll be a bloodbath once Extreme’s out
You’re fantastic for the guide But you forgot to mention if sleep is possible, sleep in area 1 under the rocks for a grand total of 7000 free damage. Behemoth falls alseep by stumbling to his right. Another thing you forgot to mention was the importance of breaking parts in area 2. If parts are broken, he will go to Nergs area which everyone should want. If you do not break any parts he will go to teos area.
The real problem is getting people together who actually know how to do it Everyone i try to queue with is retarded and carts in the first room. Its like literally no one knows how to do it and they just continuously cart and leave tornadoes everywhere. Its pretty much impossible to do the event when literally everyone you queue with is bad.
