In this text, the player discusses their encounter with Morven Stroud, a merchant in the northern section of the game. Morven offers a range of items, including swords, battleaxes, light armor, heavy armor, and spell tomes, for 25 Soul Husks. The items received are random within the chosen type.
Morven’s items use the same lists as the highest tier random rewards in dungeons, ranging from iron weapons and basic spells to expert-level spells. He also provides a simpler system for spell tomes, with novice spells always available, apprentice levels spells at level 11, adept spells at level 23, and expert spells at level 23.
The player asks Morven to bring 25 Soul Husks to see his merchandise, which includes dragonscale/dragonbone gear in exchange for soul husks. The item selected is similar to dungeon drops, so it should be possible. Morven also sells new Restoration spell tomes, but the swords he sells may not be lvled.
A mod called Paralyze can be used to change the reward item received from Morven Stroud. This mod alters the Soul Cairn Merchant encounter inside the Soul Cairn, changing the reward item received from the NPC Morven Stroud. The best spell merchant is likely the one in the Soul Cairn, as they sell spells beyond your skill level.
In summary, the player encounters Morven Stroud, who offers a variety of items, including swords, battleaxes, light armor, heavy armor, and spell tomes. The item selection is random, and the mod changes the reward item received from Morven Stroud.

Do soul husks respawn?
Soul Husks do respawn after a 10-day absence, but if you return before the timer has passed, everything respawns except for certain items. Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. Common causes include the latest version of the Opera browser sending multiple invalid requests to servers for every page visited, using the Brave browser or Ghostery add-on, which send extra traffic to servers for every page visited, and using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary or permanent IP blocks.
Some unofficial phone apps may also use GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser, triggering anti-spambot measures. Continued use of these apps may cause IP block indefinitely.
Other common causes include using scripts or add-ons that scan GameFAQs for box and screen images, running a “scraper” or “downloader” program, using poorly configured browser add-ons for blocking content, and overusing the search engine with large searches in a short amount of time. If you promise to stop, the connection will be unblocked for now, but will be re-blocked if additional bad behavior is detected.
As you are going toward the huge castle where you found Valerica and Durnehviir, there’s a big wall that separates that area from the front part of the Soul Cairn. As soon as you pass through that wall gate, take a right and go past some grave stone things. He’ll be standing next to a broken-down wagon with a small building behind him.
I just went through the options and I picked the battleaxe and the first one I got was the battleaxe of thunderbolts which does 20 stamina damage and damages half the magika. The second time, I got the battleaxe of flames which does 15 health damage. Next I did the Armour and spelltome, the spell tomes were at random, you could get healing or the rare conjure bone men, and the Armour is no different from the ones you find in game as well. So it depends on the “random order” of items, and if you save before, just reload and see what other random item he will gives you and pick the one you want. I ended up keeping my battleaxe on thunderbolts since the other ones you can find in skyrim.
Yeah greatest spells and some times enchanted items for enchantments and collect 100 and save and load and get a different item each time until you get what you want like water breathing summon daedra grand healing .. life and stamina absorb enchantments if you don’t have yet and paralysis enchantment frost summons which is hard to get earlier in game a quick stop and a few saves and you can have some of the best spells and enchantments in the game for a few dried up old husks
Just save before you give him the husks and if he gives you something rubbish, load the game and give him the husks again. He gives you things at random it seems. I went in there at level 33 with my destruction and restoration levels in the early 20s, and I got spell tomes flame cloak and guardian circle and a glass sword that does 25frost damage by loading my previous saved game and re giving him the husks a few times.
Lol, I know I’m pretty late on this, but it’s based on player level. I’m lvl 46 and got an ebony battleaxe of petrifying (chance to stun for 6 secs.) But I’m guessing if I’m lvl 50-60+ I would get dragonborn weapons (maybe daedric) instead. My point is you can now get the highest lvl enchantment for 25 husks depending on ur lvl. Pretty awesome
It completely random I saved before I baught the sword and it changed so I kept going for spell I got really good spells and I settled with a expert conjugation boom when my conjured ion is 30 I got a storm attoach instead of flame and time before I got telekinisis which means I can pull things to me.
This wasn’t useful at all. It’s just you talking shit on the content, whereas you don’t even show us on where the guy is on the map. Also if you choose spell tome he can give you ANY tome in the game, so I would suggest making a save and giving it a few tries – it’s easy to get 25 soul husks while in the Soul Cairn, so this quest is definitely not a waste of time. MAKE A SAVE AND CHOOSE SPELL TOME.
Seems logical, given how these items and functions work. What I find interesting is that you specifically find it noteworthy that you did this to your wife and kids. Because basically any stranger would have been sufficient to turn into pastry, with said pastry then being given to whoever. Its not like NPCs go “Hey, where did you get that cake?” or start sniffing it or anything – unless it were a scripted event. In other words: if you ever find yourself in front of a shrink maybe don´t mention this little “discovery” of yours and how you made a article about it for all to see. There´s a saying I once heard, goes something like this: “Nothing reveals a man´s true character more than the games they play – and, more to the point, HOW they play them.”
