Why Is Mythology Not Seen As A Conspiracy Theory?

Conspiracy theories can fit into the realm of folklore, as they are often based on recurring narrative patterns found in myths that support the conspiracy. Since philosopher Karl Popper popularized the term in the 1950s, conspiracy theories have had a bad reputation. Official stories are often not considered conspiracy theories but as a form of propaganda. Politicians use conspiracy theories to manipulate public thinking and in what situations. Rational arguments and myth busting may not change the mind of a conspiracy theorist.

The story of how the myth exploded reveals how fake stories spread today. The psychological (dark triad) propensity to share false explanations is often unsatisfactory to many people. Some conspiracy theories, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, are connected to supernatural or rituals, while others are associated with religious beliefs.

The Christ myth theory, also known as Jesus mythicism or the Jesus ahistoricity theory, views the story of Jesus as a myth. The nature of religious belief is essential to understanding the epistemological foundations of conspiracy theories. As the prevalence of conspiracy thinking among Christians increases, it is important to understand why so many Christians are in the ranks of today’s conspiracy theorists.

In Greece, the main deity is the Virgin Mary, with thousands of monasteries and churches dedicated to her and the main religious festival. By identifying, debunking, and countering conspiracy theories, we can help combat the harmful effects of conspiracy theories and promote a more balanced and accurate understanding of reality.

  • The attempt of all religions is to try and unify people within what is perhaps the greatest of subjects: the concept of God or generation, formation, and regulation. However where religions falls short, in the West at least, is the idea that one group of chosen pious people are chosen over another. In the Old Testament that idea was more physical and corporal (the Children of Israel were to experience salvation and world domination under God). However, the New Testament is more psychical, the chosen pious righteous of heart, regardless of nationality or lineage may receive salvation from their troubles. Where Christianity went wrong was when it began to be used as a vehicle for European expansionism and colonialism; Europeans essentially taking up the faith as their own creation and proof of their superiority to cultures before them and after them.

  • Religion is another part of evolution People should be separate from animals and slavery that’s why religions were formed to tell us that actually we are all humans and that not Kings or Queens should be more than us but people take that in a wrong way and now we are stuck in Golden era with Bronze mentality
