A Christian Tarot Card Reader?

Tarot cards are considered a sin by Christians, as they involve practices associated with divination and consulting familiar spirits. The Bible condemns these practices and encourages trusting in God alone. Tarot card readings can negatively impact a Christian’s relationship with God and their spirituality. However, some Christians may use tarot cards to connect with their spirituality and provide knowledge about the future and events in their life.

The Contemplative Tarot: A Christian Guide to the Cards provides practical guidance on how to use the cards in a Christian context, such as prompting personal prayer or reminding them of spiritual truths. Tarot readings can help Christians get closer to God or the divine energy, but it is important to understand that psychics are regular people with extra skills.

Christians can receive tarot readings, as they have been used in various religious contexts, including Rosicrucians. However, the Bible warns against sorceresses, divination, soothsaying, fortunetelling, mediums, and spiritists. Tarot can be used for divination and fortunetelling, but it is considered Christian magick.

The origins of Tarot cards are not particularly special, but the Bible clearly warns against participating in divination, and using tarot cards is a type of divination. While some Christians appreciate prayer and the centuries-old art of tarot cards, they must respect the prohibition against divination.

In conclusion, while Tarot readings can be beneficial for Christians, it is essential to consider the ethical considerations and potential negative effects of using these tools in a Christian context.

📹 4 Reasons for Christians to Stay Away from Tarot Cards

Using tarot cards can seem like harmless fun. But reading tarot cards is actually a spiritual practice rather than just a game.

Is it allowed to play cards in Christianity?

The morality of playing cards is not intrinsically wrong, as they are simply pieces of paper with images on them. The morality of playing cards depends on the way they are used, rather than the cards themselves. There are many innocent ways cards can be used, such as building card-castles or clothes-pinning them to bikes. The rightness or wrongness of cards is determined in areas that are secondary to the cards themselves, specifically what they are used for.

For example, a deck of cards may be used in a sinful way when used for gambling or games of chance. The Bible does not directly address gambling, so we must determine the morality of gambling and the use of cards for gambling by looking at other applicable principles.

Does Christianity believe in crystals?

The Bible describes the area before the throne of God as being as clear as crystal, but it does not mention that crystals have healing or magical power properties. The belief in healing crystals and other magical properties is a popular topic in the world today, with people believing that different crystals have different properties or powers to help those who use them or wear them. This belief has been present in ancient cultures like Egypt, Greece, and China.

What do you call people who do readings?

Psychologists are individuals who possess psychic abilities, often used for entertainment purposes. They can be stage magicians, psychic detectives, and practitioners in fields like psychic archaeology and psychic surgery. Famous psychics include Edgar Cayce, Ingo Swann, Peter Hurkos, Janet Lee, Miss Cleo, John Edward, Sylvia Browne, and Tyler Henry. Critics attribute psychic powers to intentional trickery or self-delusion. In 1988, the U. S.

National Academy of Sciences concluded that there is no scientific justification for parapsychological phenomena. A study that attempted to replicate parapsychological experiments failed to produce significant effects, thus denying the existence of psychic abilities.

Psychics are sometimes featured in science fiction and fantasy fiction, such as the Star Wars franchise, Dungeons and Dragons, and Stephen King’s works. These works often feature characters with psychic powers, such as Force-sensitive beings who can see into the future and move objects telekinetically. However, there is no scientific justification for the existence of psychic abilities.

Is there a Christian tarot deck?

Doreen Virtue’s Saints and Angels Oracle is a Christian-oriented set of 44 cards featuring God, Jesus, saints, and angels. The SoulTidings TruthCards are a Christian version of the Osho-Zen, featuring cartoonish artwork and prominent Jesus. The Tarot of the Cloisters is a unique medieval cathedral-inspired deck with round, beautifully colored artwork. Unfortunately, it is out of print and not readily available.

Is it safe to read tarot cards?

Tarot cards, like other metaphysical tools, are as safe or dangerous as the messages they deliver. They provide clues into the subconscious and are not harmful themselves. The Tarot is often linked to witchcraft, as many practicing witches use it. However, not all witches use the Tarot. The Tarot is a divination tool used by witches to derive more symbolism and understanding for specific questions. Witchcraft and Tarot can co-exist separately, and reading Tarot does not necessarily mean practicing witchcraft. Both practices involve active engagement with intuition.

Who can read tarot cards?

Tarot is a popular and accessible tool for anyone, according to author Michelle Tea. She believes that learning tarot involves becoming comfortable with the imagery, learning them by heart, and understanding how the cards interact. Tea’s book, Modern Tarot: Connecting with Your Higher Self through the Wisdom of the Cards, provides a beginner’s guide to tarot, guiding readers through each card in a deck, sharing reading tips, and ways to incorporate tarot into self-care practices. Tea emphasizes that anyone can learn tarot, as long as they are comfortable with the imagery and understand how they flow into a story.

What is it called to read tarot cards?

Tarot card reading is a form of cartomancy where practitioners use tarot cards to gain insight into the past, present, or future. A traditional tarot deck consists of 78 cards, divided into the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. French-suited playing cards and any card system with suits assigned to identifiable elements can also be used. The first written references to tarot packs occurred between 1440 and 1450 in northern Italy, where additional cards with allegorical illustrations were added to the common four-suit pack.

These new packs were called carte da trionfi, triumph packs, and the additional cards known simply as trionfi, which became “trumps” in English. References to tarot triumphs continue throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, but there are no indications that the cards were used for anything but games. It was only in the 1780s, when fortune-telling with regular playing cards had been well established for at least two decades, that anyone began to use the tarot pack for cartomancy.

  • Many articles games have tarot in them and many let their kids play with these things. The words can sink in unknowingly and do some damage. Christians watch everything your kids are doing, become their best friend not only a parent if we never lie and prove we will always be there in truth which is JESUS himself they will come to know the full truth of him. They will trust your teachings from him and your reason through the Holy Spirit much beyond that of the lies of the world, which comes from the devil himself.

  • I once had a tarot reading done while being a Christian. I have a friend who’s very into all that and really wanted to do a reading on me. I kept telling him no, I’m a Christian and I don’t believe in doing that. He kept pestering me and pestering me about it, though. So finally, I cracked, and I said, “Fine, I’ll let you do this for me, but let me be clear that I don’t believe in it and I want you to leave me alone about it after this” and he agreed. So he shuffled his deck and asked me to draw a card, and I did. He had me flip it over, and guess what was on it? A picture of Jesus. So I showed it to him and said, “See, I told you so!” and he looked rattled and put his cards away. He never said a word about it again. I have to admit that I thought it was both hilarious and kind of awesome. Even the devil knows what’s what.

  • Some Christians don’t realise that just consulting a psychic is dreadfully rebellious against God 😬 I had a pastor tell me he had been to a medium and that’s horrifying. As a former psychic medium, I could get detailed accurate information about people’s lives, but rarely divine the future. Deuteronomy is my favourite book because it saved me from deception.

  • “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.” -Deut 13:1-4 ESV The verses Melissa is referring to.

  • My grandma was a psychic, but not the kind that was paid for it. She foretold things and it happened. I become a christian at the age of fourteen and had not yet joined a church, so I did not know a lot about what was in the Bible, though I had started to read it. Grandma had started to learn me how to use the cards to foretell the future( just common cards that are used when you play. One night I and my grandma slept in the living room, she on one sofa and I on the other. I was awake, reading the bible and praying for a sick onkel of my, when suddenly the room went frezing cold. I turned my head to see if the door to the veranda was open, and when I did, at the side of grandma, I saw a figure just looking like my grandma, standing beside my sleeping grandma. And the eyes of the figure was red and filled with hate and it wanted to reach me and hurt me. Suddenly I heard a voice in my head telling me ” Do not be afraid”. When I turned my head I saw an angel dressed in whinte ( no wings at all) standing at the end where I had my head. The andgel was helding up his hand and was the one who stopped the horrible figure to hurt me. It all vanished as suddenlu as it had apperad. Late on I come to understand that the figure I saw was the demon that was possesing my grandma and the one who was working her future telling. Now I know what is behind all that kind of stuff. As a christian one shall keep away fron that kind of stuff. There are gifts in the Holy spirit so there are no need for christians to search help from Satan.

  • Many years ago, I was in a very depressive state. For my birthday, I went to a palm reader. I have no idea how long I was in there, but she knew things, deep painful things. Like she’d been beside me my whole life. By the end of it, I put $350 on a credit card, had crystals and some ingredients for a ritual I was to perform before I went to bed. I sat on the bed, lit the thing, and started to say the chant. I felt, physically felt, something try to pierce my chest. That scared me. I wrapped it all up in foil, hunted the giant family bible I’d inherited, threw it in there, apologized to the God I knew didn’t love me, and barely slept all night. The next morning I threw it in the dumpster and went to work. When I got home, it was in the middle of my living room floor. I freaked completely out. That was the beginning of my journey to God. Piercing the Darkness is a pretty decent book that, I believe, describes how that works. I appreciate your openness and I’m glad you’re ok. I hope your friend is, too!

  • My father went to see a witch/ psychic (her description, not mine) years ago. He was VERY impressed because she knew about his deceased mother and told him that he survived his nearly fatal Peterbilt truck crash because his mother was looking over him and basically kept him alive! My dad recommended I call this psychic to find out what is causing my trigeminal neuralgia, which was tempting for a while, but I decided against it. Our Lord doesn’t participate in darkness of any form… and this stuff is DARK! It’s like playing with a Ouija board. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

  • 24 years ago I was bullied into going to a psychic by an older woman who claimed to be a Christian! Her tactic was to book & pay before she told me, then use that fact to manipulate me to go. I knew I was disobeying God, but I went because I felt guilty that I “inconvenienced” this lady. I was a fool. Everything the psychic said to me came true 18 months later, but what was painted as a dream became a nightmare. I never want to disobey God ever again. The ramifications of the decisions I made are still affecting me to this day. It is only due to His eternal love & mercies towards me that God has forgiven me. I can never repay Him for what He has done for me. God’s way is the ONLY way! When He says “no” it is for our benefit. Please believe that 😔

  • I did the same thing, I went to a physic as a Christian, she said in a roundabout way it was ok to be with a man in question, cause God brought this man into my life! 😳 he was married and so was I at the time. I told her it’s in the Ten Commandments not to commit Adultery! She said she follows Jesus too. It’s 😵‍💫🥺🤯 that’s why we need to stay in the word and not bend to make excuses for sin!!

  • My mother is Christian… She sees things through prayer… She told me I needed a mammogram at the age of 37… NO breast cancer history on either side of my family… I didn’t even carry the cancer gene… But yes because of my moms vision the doctor found my cancer at the early stages… And four years later still cancer free 🙌🏽

  • NEVER ever ever dabble with anything like this. When I was 8 yrs old I dabbled with an ouija board. It was the WORST decision of my life, albeit neither me nor my parents knew any better. At one point the demons I was communicating with told me what my newborn cousin’s gender and name were; i.e. all my mom knew was that her sister had a baby – didn’t know the gender nor the name. This was in 1970 when long distance phone calls cost a lot of $ and it was still cheaper to send a telegram. My mom got a telegram from my grandmother but all it said was that my aunt had a baby. So me and my brother asked the Ouija board “boy or girl” and it said “boy” but since that was a binary 50 / 50 question, we asked it what the boy’s name was. It spelled out “Aaron”. The next day my mom called the hospital and asked her sister what she named the baby. Yep, she had a boy and named him “Aaron”. It was at this time that weird “poltergeist” things began to happen in the house like the furnace switch being turned off repeatedly to the point where my dad got mad because he thought me and my brother were doing it. I grilled my brother but he thought I was doing it. Needless to say we were both really freaked out by this. This was also when I began to feel a very disturbing presence when I was alone in one part of the house; i.e. the feeling that someone is in the room with you and you turn around expecting to see a sibling or one of your parents but no one is there physically but the presence is still just as strong.

  • Thank you for this. I’ve been saved for almost 11 years this October 🙌 Jesus saved me and intervened in my life while I was getting deeper into new age and occultic practices. I was very into psychic readings, talking to the dead, tarot cards, astro travel, astrology, horoscopes, and read many books that taught how to communicate with spirit guides and angels. I thought it was ok because a couple that introduced this stuff to me I had seen in the catholic church while I went to youth group as a teen. I was obsessed with with the supernatural experiences and wanted more and more. I went for a tarot card reading and during it I felt something physically touching my head and then after I felt a presence always following me for years. I was full of depressed, anxiety, and fear. I had paranormal things happening to me in my home, but that made me even more go deeper into the supernatural to figure out what I experiencing. The thing is that all of that stuff is very real and the information psychic and other occultic practices have can be very accurate. The person is communicating with demon spirits who are familiar with people. The Bible called them familiar spirits and they have assignments of attaching to people and following down the bloodline of the family. They have accurate information because they are spirits that follow people and their families. They don’t share their information with you because they wanna help you, but do because they wanna lead you away from the Lord and further cause you to live a sinful lifestyle.

  • As a young non Christian teenager I was kind of engulfed in New age and witchcraft around me. My mother would burn specific colored candles in order to create something or a specific energy. The lady that helped raise me was an atheist whose closest friends were witches, psychics and the like. One if her friends did a tarot card reading on me when I was about 15 or 16. Told me about a guy that would wreak havoc in my life. I asked if he was going to kill me because the boyfriend I had at the time was abusive. She said no. He the relationship would end. She gave a few more specific details. And I obsessed over it for a while and then forgot. When I was 17 I believe that relationship came to fruition. Although it didn’t dawn on me until years later. I had basically forgotten the reading. One day as a married adult Christian with kids of my own I recalled her reading to my mind again. And honestly it felt gross. It was accurate. But with a adult perspective and a biblical world view I know now that she was definitely getting her information from darkness.

  • I came here hoping to hear about a successful tarot story for Christian’s so I could try tarot too without upsetting God, because I’m in a time in my life when I am paralyzed by fear and don’t know what to do. But everywhere I look on YouTube I see stories about why it’s evil and not a single one from a Christian perspective that says otherwise, or even that it’s harmless. It’s not even a question. That’s a pretty clear answer for me, I guess I’ll be returning those cards I got. Forgive me Jesus for I knew not what I was messing with.

  • You don’t understand how much I needed this because Im in a really emotional season in my life in regards to love and I was starting to get curious AGAIN with tarot reading. I use to be consumed with perusal readings on youtube and i even paid a couple of times for private readings… Wow. I never want to be a slave to that and disrespect God like that. Again thank you for sharing and reminding me that God seeks for us to turn to him for everything at anytime. God Bless You Melissa!!!!

  • Melissa, your comment about hoping to get a ‘jump-start’ (I paraphrase – badly!) w/out having to read the Bible very much resonates with the way ‘prophecy’ has been used & abused for years by junkies desperate for ‘a word’ w/out having to read the Bible and pray. For many years I watched the gift being adulterated & substituted for ‘clairvoyant’ purposes and believe the church has a lot of repenting to do for its sinful & deeply carnal misuse of His gifts! Thank you for sharing this!🙏❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  • When I first became a Christian, only days before I got my first Bible, I thought being a psychic could’ve been a gift from God since so many were good people and they were giving good advice. So I was asked what a demon’s job was. I replied “get as many people in hell as possible.” I was told I answered correctly and then I was asked if a demon would be willing to reveal 99 truths if he could get that person hooked on that one lie that would seal his doom in hell. I replied that he would. Right answer. I understood.

  • This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” She followed Paul and us and cried out repeatedly, saying, “These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you a way of salvation.” Acts 16:17 She was demon possessed and when Paul cast out the demon her master was angry that she was no longer useful to him.

  • This happened to me once. I was in high school band, and one of the women had tarot cards. Most of us did it, and I had my doubts since I grew up in church. She said I would “lead a boring life.” The band teacher even did it, had a similar reading. We asked her to try again, totally different result. For what it’s worth, life has been the opposite of boring, and with God’s leading in my life, there’s never a dull moment :-).

  • I’m glad you talk about this. when i was a “christian” my friend brought me to New Orleans for her 21st bday. I was claiming the name of Jesus and just being in NOLA i could feel the presence of evil all around me.. yet I still somehow got talked into a tarot card reading. and spent my time there getting drunk. my faith was so weak and i was rebelling against God without even realizing it

  • I was involved in a cult, I didn’t consider that I was at the time… as it turned out I was very good at reading tarot cards. God is amazingly graceful and merciful and has forgiven me and giving me and amazing life where I serve him daily and my life is full of blessings. My advice is if you are involved in any of these things God will redeem you. When I was his foe He still protected me

  • I went to see a psychic many years ago too, before I became a Christian and did exactly the same thing as you! Kept quiet, very minimal answers to her questions. She said “You have 3 brothers” I say, “No, I have 2” and then she says “Oh that’s strange. Your guardian angel is called Robert, was he not your brother?” And then I realised, my Dad sadly had a still born baby before I was born with his ex wife. But no one could have known that. She also predicted that I had a son even though I didn’t have him with me. At the time I was wowed but in hindsight I’ve realised the same as you, that although she was accurate, she didn’t tell me anything actually helpful and that she obviously had some sort of connection with something that God doesn’t want us messing around in!!!!

  • Yes! Thank you for this article. I got into new age stuff after my brother died. When I was finally able to get myself up and moving, 5-6 months after he killed himself, I told myself that I wouldn’t give them any info and I wanted to see what they said/knew. I never brought him up, they did. They knew he died and that he killed himself. They told me he was sorry and that he just couldn’t take life here on earth. The thing is, when my brother died I heard his voice clear as day like he was sitting right next to me. He said “I’m sorry, Ash.” He was in NY and I was in AZ. It was 45mins later when my aunt called to tell me that they found him and that he was gone. I already knew he was gone and that he did it on purpose. I never brought this up to them, but they knew. This opened me up to believing the new age movement for the last 4 years or so, but I finally removed myself and I am getting back into my Bible and the real word of God. Please forgive me, father 🙏🏼.

  • Oh yeah this stuff is very real. It’s called divination. Before I became a Christian I was very successful in the collection business, and I dabbled in the occult, and so did my parents and they used it to be successful. Anyway, I rose to prominence by knowing the most horrific thing in the world to collect money from people and not get caught or even break a law. I also knew everything about a person as soon as I got on the phone with them. I mean everything, and all I had was their name. I would have people even tell me that I would never collect money from them because I didn’t know anything about them. So, I would start out by describing them. There hair color, weight, height age, ethnicity and what they were wearing. Then I would tell them where they lived, worked and what job they did. Then I could even describe their car make model and age. This would literally scare the hell out of them. Then I would tell them to pay now and there would be no problem, but if not I would describe what I could do that I knew terrified them and was legal. I collected big money doing this and made six figures a year back in the early 1990’s. Oh, I also worked for a very prominent person in Las Vegas, with lots of other perks. Bottom line, this is very real stuff! And God hates it! I am so fortunate to be alive, and not in hell. Jesus can and will forgive everything. But, you have to love Him, and if you do you will prove it by obeying His commands

  • I am so sorry about your cousin. May God give you and your family comfort. I know this happened years ago but I’m sure it still feels like yesterday. God is faithful to comfort those who mourn, even after all these years. Thank you for sharing the passage in Deuteronomy, a great reminder during these times.

  • I was involved in the occult once. A demon kept following me everywhere and satisfied my lust of flesh. I repented and no pitch black being is following me anymore. That was in primary school. Guys, I thought I was manifesting a fairy friend! But it was a pitch black demon following me and flying everywhere. The Bible passage in Acts about the people burning their magic books and follow Jesus gave me immense relief because it showed that I could repent from witchcraft and ouldnt be gig to hell for it! It’s a miracle I’m not demon possessed because I know the story of someone who wasn’t as lucky as I was. The guy was possessed for years.

  • I was a witch before I became a Christian because I believed it was nature directed and gave me special insight that also gave me a power others did not have. This was back in the day where phones hung on walls and TV had 3 websites. Having a lure of extra knowledge was very tempting and the natural tie in was the sugar coating that ‘made it OK’ for me. When I became a Christian, long story I won’t go into here, I had a sensitivity to the demonic. I could feel where they were. This, being several decades ago, has given me insight regarding people like that psychic. There were demonic forces on both sides of that table. One that was telling you it was OK. One that was giving the psychic info about you. Your side was telling her side what seemed like real truths that would entice you closer to, for want of a better word, the dark side. Your friend, I assume was not a Christian and therefore was already on the dark side and needed no ‘proofs’ to trust. I still will not give an inch to any darkness. Even after fifty years. God bless!

  • Coming from a Latin American perspective, I remember being told of the evils of brujería and Santeria. It astounds me to learn of Christians either turning to that stuff or that stuff entering in with a Christian veneer. Thank you for sharing the wrongs of these practices. Since you mentioned of how the psychic’s place did not appear as expected, looking up a former New Age teacher before Christ surprised me. For some reason, I expected to see someone dressed up like Walter Mercado with his long flowing capes and robes, only to find a soft spoken lady in nice dresses.

  • My brother went to a psychic once before I got saved and also asked the psychic about me. (With my permission.) This lady is very well known and one of the best psychics in the country. Yet she told him she could’n “read” me at all because I had this strong protective shield around me. Or protective field, whatever they call it. I was so disappointed lol.. Now I’m grateful for this “protective field” ! Makes me wonder why she called it “protective”,maybe because she knows what she’s doing is evil and demonic..

  • When I was a teenager and long before I was a Christian, I practiced the occult. My father’s side of the family was into astrology and spiritism. So I became interested too. I bought some tarot cards and learned how to do readings. I was about 14 or 15 years old at the time and I brought my tarot cards to a family friends’ house and proceeded to read the cards for my friend who was in her senior year of high school and about 17 at the time. I told her someone she loved very much was going to die in a year but it wasn’t going to be her parents or siblings. It turned out she was 3 months pregnant and she got married to her boyfriend right after graduation. He baby was born, but died before reaching a year old. I didn’t think about it afterward till she told me a few years ago. I was so sorry that I had those cards and I am so glad that I repented of witchcraft and the occult. This stuff is dangerous.

  • Back in the late 80’s I was in a fairly serious relationship with a woman who was agnostic but her mother was a self proclaimed Christian and an avid tarot follower. She attended readings every week like clockwork. She was constantly dredging “information” about me from her reader and passing it on to her daughter. Sometimes involving her daughter in the sitting as to convince her to stay away from me. I was raised in the Christian faith and knew from an early age the true deception of this stuff. My girlfriend would relay the information her mother received about me and it was absolute garbage. I was being portrayed as an evil wedge that was hellbent on destroying their family bond and pulling my girlfriend into a life of chaos, which was total nonsense, but played on the fact that I was desperately trying to convince her not to believe in that crap and rely on circumstantial facts. Her mother was very controlling and psychologically manipulative and ultimately destroyed our relationship.

  • Having previously been involved in and “enticed by the shiny things” at one point in my life.. I can say the power and mystery are so seductive. It is by God’s grace and power I broke out of that trap and discovered the real Truth my heart was seeking! I sincerely pray that others may break free from these lies like I did. I know so many people who reject the Truth for their own narrative. 💔🙏

  • Such a good article, Melissa. It was clear concise and helpful. Before becoming a Christian, I attended a “clairvoyant school” where I learned meditation, how to contact my spirit guides and how to read and interpret auras. At first, I sat in as an observer when auras were read. When I did my first one, it scared the daylights out of me. It is most certainly demonic and powerful. Thank you for teaching and warning others.

  • I had a spirit speaking to me claiming to be the spirit if a departed young man. I contacted his mother and relayed messges to her from the spirit. They were all accurate but it felt so wrong. Then I looked up scriptures about mediums and I immediately prayed for God’s help to stop the communication and forgiveness for participating in this.

  • I played a game a long time ago when I was extremely high on drugs and during a wicked time of my life. This game was just me and a deck of playing cards asking God to reveal something to me. I asked “If I pull out the ace of clubs, will I win the lottery”. Yes, a crazy thing to do but I was actually serious about it in my mind at the time. Well, I pulled the ace of clubs from a shuffled deck. I thought it was a coincidence so I reshuffled and did it again. Ace of clubs!!! Third time, Ace of clubs. 3 shuffles 3 ace of clubs. I never played the lottery since that night. I immediately felt the presence of evil and it scares me to this day. I am still tempted to play the lottery all the time. I just don’t believe God is going to give me money that way. It seems too easy and may cause me to turn away from God if I get too much.

  • When I was 25 and living in LA, my coworker suggested I visit her “spiritual advisor” (everyone knew I was a Christian and didn’t want to entertain a psychic) I think because she said “spiritual advisor” my guard was let down. I come to realize this lady was a medium. When I got to her house, there were no tarot cards or anything but she used my palm. She then brought up my brother who had passed away just a year earlier. The other thing she told me was I needed to go to a specific acting class. (I was an aspiring actor at the time) I never went to the class (mostly because I was poor) but I always wonder about how my life would have ended up if I took that class. Because I opened that spiritual door, satan really had a field day with me. I mean, any bad thing you think could happen, happened in the years following that from depression to poverty.. I ended up moving out of LA but i think about that one day all the time and I warn people against mediums. Dont open those doors!!

  • My mother-in-law has put Jesus aside and is regularly visiting a psychic to “know” if her affair will last. It’s heartbreaking to see when God’s word is so clear and loves her so much that all she has to do is turn back to him and repent in Jesus name. Thanks for sharing and hope this reaches all who need it! ❤️

  • Amen God bless you Melissa, growing up in a christian household I knew that stuff wasn’t right, I was going through the motions, I strayed and now I’m back with the father and Jesus, a lot of christians are being deceived thinking there’s nothing wrong with getting involved in this kinda stuff, God bless you Melissa keep doing God’s work, sold out for Jesus

  • Thank you for this story. I appreciate your honesty and the love in which it was told. I have been tempted to see a psychic as I wanted to know things I didn’t but I know what the Bible says about it and I trust God will show me what I need to know and not what I don’t. Thank you for your warning and I pray it helps a brother or sister resist the temptation or repent in the sin. It is definitely dabbling into things that we are to stay away from. The devil is tricky

  • Today especially we are seeing a lot of young people including one of my grandchildren, great-niece and other nieces and nephews who are very much into stones. Examples are different types of healing Stones, evil eyes Etc it would be great if you could do that as one of your topics! I’m going to share this one with my granddaughter who was dabbling with some of the things you mentioned. She just doesn’t understand she thinks it’s okay because everyone does it

  • I felt compelled to going to psychics, I became a Christian I had a special needs infant with multi difficulties feeling out of my element I sought healing in new age which gently steered me back to God by saying pray for a prayer partner… I too felt psychic were more spiritual and would direct me to healing for him. When I mentioned to a Christian friend I was consulting a pshyic she educated me I was To be seeking God, but like chocolate is a quick fix I felt at a loss but I prayed then cancelled my appointment she first ignored my call and when I called again she shamed me.. Feeling I could have possibly missed potential healing for my infant, I prayed… I got a weekend of fever weakness and general malaise…. It was clear a curse had been on me…. Anyhow fast forward 20 years… I am the one who got healed my faith was restored, my nonverbal, deaf, epileptic, autistic and incontent son brought me to my Lord and saviour which is what I needed most to raise this beautiful boy who has made my life rich

  • Thank you so much for doing this clip! I went to a psychic when I was saved only a year and didn’t know my Bible. She was accurate about quite a bit. Not connecting it until years later – I began having demonic activity in my home and demonic dreams for years. My pastor told me I was eating too much pizza before going to bed. It wasn’t until I heard an ex witch Dr that turned Christian speak on Focus on the Family on demons that it all connected. I began claiming the blood of Jesus in my home and at night when they would attack and eventually it all went away. Demons are real and active. DO NOT open doors for them to attack!! This is information you ve shared that is extremely important in the US!!! Thank you!!!!!

  • I used to practice witchcraft, specifically tarot cards. It’s not something to dabble in, and looking back I’m so thankful that God saved me from it before I became too controlled by the enemy. It gives you a sort of false authoritive high, thinking you can control the spiritual world. How very wrong I was! The Holy Spirit guided me to burn it all weeks after I became a Christian and God blessed me with healing a skin disease I’d had for over 15 years. Thanks Melissa for the vid! More Christians need to realize the dangers of this stuff… I was utterly shocked at how many Christians (whether back sliding, confused or ignorant) fall for this crap. The enneagram and horoscopes are the same thing as tarot cards.

  • We need to repent from anything in the past related to the occult, idolatry or superstitious things. Even having a rabbit’s foot as an ignorant child or anything for luck or good fortune should be repented for. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring anything to mind. I have gone through deliverance and have much more peace. When we are saved, our spirits are saved, but we can have demons in our souls and bodies from past disobedience. Repentance will free you. God bless everyone.

  • I fell for it too when my husband died. She told me things there was no way she could know. I was dazzled and amazed and at that time I did not think that it was a bad thing. We became friends…But the more I knew her as a person the more I realized how wrong she was. she bad mouths Christians and calls the Bible fiction. I asked her have you read it and she said… no why would I? She’s one of those people that no matter what I say I’m wrong and she will not hear anything. Needless to say I distance myself from her now

  • One of the most painful parts of losing a child is that people seem to think that we’re hoping to hear from him. My daughter is getting VERY upset with people calling to “give you a message from your brother.” She knows it’s BS. I told her that all we can do is thank them, hang up the phone, and then let it go. Know that it’s just their own personal wish fulfilment and don’t let them suck us down that rabbit hole. Hell, a friend of mine told her hair dresser about his passing and SHE decided that she had a psychic message from him. smh What REALLY gets frustrating is when they get upset with us for refusing to go ‘get a reading’ ourselves. I just smile and say, “If he has something to say to me, he can speak to me directly. Otherwise, I’m not interested.” It’s a painful topic for us and the last thing we need is (good willed, but misguided) people putting this crap in our ears.

  • One time in high school I took a psychology class and at the end, as sort of a treat, they brought in a hypnotist & asked for volunteers. I wasn’t sure if it was right or wrong, but I wanted to give it a try. It’s true that you’re still in control of what you do and can choose not to do things you don’t want to. But after it was over, I remember, even as teen w/o much understanding of this, I sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit had been with me, and I felt certain he had been protecting me while I was in the trance & in such a vulnerable state, when my defenses were down. It reminds me of how, at other times when I’ve felt an evil presence, it was almost always when I was half-asleep, i.e. in a trance-like state. So this is something I feel Christians should also be cautious of. I also think this is why TV can be dangerous b/c perusal it is so passive & can almost be like being in a trance. I don’t watch much TV, but the other day I was just glancing over now & again to see what my parents were perusal, and I noticed on one show a banner kept popping up about something called evil or paranormal or something. And then commercials with lgbtq agendas & other agendas popping up & I thought, my gosh, they want to throw those messages in there while people aren’t paying attention. I’m not saying to not watch TV, that’s up to every individual, but my thought is, what does it hurt to NOT watch TV? I think we can all come up with better ways to employ our time.

  • God bless you, I had an experience at a party someone brought out some weed (I forget what it was called) but they where throwing it into the fire with a bit of hair for each person interested to find a spirit animal. So while everyone is perusal the fire people are calling out animals. I didn’t partake in this practice but I stayed and watched. All of a sudden I believe I saw a face come out of the fire at me I jumped and might have screamed. It made it stop but I felt like it was something evil warning me or something.

  • Long ago, I heard someone talk about a local psychic who was very accurate. It intrigued me, although I didn’t believe psychics were valid. I took my daughter along with me. He was pretty general, but did tell me I was going to make a major change to help my parents (which I did, a year later). He also told me I would marry again (Yay!). My daughter was quite upset because he told her she would not marry her fiancé. I told her that this is why Christians don’t go to psychics, and I repented of it. Fifteen years later, I never did remarry and my daughter is very happily married to her fiancé!

  • I always like your articles, but this was extraordinary. I’ve never been to a psychic, nor have a a wish to. The enemy found other lures to get me off track and God’s Word is how I fight him even now. I hope your message of getting people to turn to their Bible sticks, because if they want a sure foundation, they can read about Him in there.

  • I think it’s important to draw a distinction between people contacting the spirit world and people have a natural “sixth sense” of some kind. My dad, for instance, is a strong and biblically-minded Christian but he’s had experiences that I can only imagine either came from some innate misunderstood ability or came from God himself. For instance, knowing just beforehand when his twin sister is about to call him or having premonitory dreams of the future (which were not of a spiritual nature but foretold mundane events). These experiences just happen randomly and naturally. There was also the CIA’s Stargate remote viewing program. From everything I have read, there was nothing spiritual about that. Those guys just had a weird ability to see things in their mind that existed in another place on the globe.

  • Years ago, early 90s, a good Christian friend of mine had walked into a new age/psychic bookstore just to check it out. Immediately the owner came up to her and told her that Christians are not welcome there. (how did she know?) So my friend left and then told us about it. Immediately after that each of us in the small friend group began having spiritual attacks. After a couple of weeks of that we all got together and prayed and then traveled back home together to see our home church pastor to talk about it. He said that the whole point of all that activity against us was to make us afraid. That was eye opening. We prayed again and didn’t have any more attacks after that.

  • First off I just want to say thank you and God bless you for all the work you do to help build God’s kingdom! Now, I just wanted to give my two cents and say my perspective on psychics and witches and the like has always been this: it does not matter in the slightest if there is any “real” spiritual power held by those individuals. Even in cases where it’s just total delusion without demons causing them to have any abilities, it’s still far FAR better to steer clear of them and not tolerate such practices whatsoever. For what we entertain, tolerate, and/or engage in as Christians impacts our spiritual and mental wellbeing. And whenever someone invites SOMETHING supernatural to do SOMETHING, that is an easy avenue for demons to threaten you spiritually, and trying to seek power from such things harms one’s thought life, theology, and spiritual life greatly. All New Age stuff is merely delusion and demons, both of which are things we need to stay far far away from as Christians.

  • I used to do astrology. I always told myself that I was studying simply out of curiosity to see if it was real. I held on to my Christian beliefs that were weak and lukewarm. I still acknowledged Christ was my one and only God. But being exposed to all that evil started to wear me down, and consider different possibilities. I started to lose confidence in him. I’m ashamed of myself for going down that path. But God knew to use it for his glory. I know in depth why it is evil now, my knowledge of it can be used to kick it back down. I used to get mad when I would try to tell my mom about astrology and she would just tell me ” deuteronomy 18:9-12″ haha. Now I thank her for it, because it convicted me.I never knew I was thirsty for God’s word, until I started seeking it. I kept searching for truth/knowledge when I should have just opened my bible.

  • I understand how people go to psychics, and I also understand good solid advice is something we all need. If you think psychics get a little strange, try going to a therapist or two. Unfortunately, a good therapist is hard to find. I have known too many therapists, on a personal basis, that are drenched in new age nonsense at all.

  • I’ve been to several psychics over the years during the many years I was absorbed into New Age & self-help ideologies and practices. Ironically that in itself should be a red flag. New Agers teach to become personally enlightened. Yet followers spend millions ~ if not more ~ attending talks, classes and going to psychics! It feeds the part of the personality that dislikes the unknown. Wants answers yesterday. Yet, so many people following these movements never move past the need for more classes, more ‘healings’ and more readings! Anyone else experience this? I did! I also appreciate what you said about how even the accuracy offered nothing to help your life. I’ve seen or spoken by phone with people who gave me startlingly accurate insights as to all I had experienced. Well I already knew what I lived through. Some readings downright pissed me off. So I learned that I needed to be very wary. What you hear can influence what you believe which in itself can be potentially detrimental and take you off course or cause heightened fear! I’ll also say that before becoming born again I was falling away from all of it. I briefly worked at a metaphysical store one morning per week to do energy healing. As an outsider, I was drawn to the readers and owner ~ and all the bright sparkly crystals! As an insider, I saw another side. And it actually clinched my exit, then repentance from it all! Some of these places have really creepy energy! I watched as people relied on these other people for life guidance in lieu of counseling.

  • My cat went missing on the 4th September. My neighbour came over to see me and ask if the cat has returned (he hasn’t) 🙁 so the neighbour said “I know this really great psychic who can tell you where your cat is, would you like me to contact him for you?” I thought about how I really want to know if my cat is dead or alive, and where he is – and then thought, no, this is a temptation sent to me from the enemy, so I politely declined, knowing that God does not wish for us to get involved with mediums or psychics. So I still don’t know what has happened to my cat. 🙁 But thankful that I didn’t give in to the temptation.

  • I took a friend from work to a psychic. I stood outside the booth, looking at the books and stuff. When we left, we were on the freeway, and it was gridlock. But strangely, a lot of noise from outside or maybe the ac? I said why is there a wind sound? The co-worker was driving, and said I don’t know, it’s not the ac, and there’s no wind. She then said why is there flute playing? I said, “What flute?” Just I head a flute play on my right ear (the door was on the right too). It sounded discordant, like a child playing. And then suddenly, no more wind, no more flute. It was weird. It must have been a spirit from the psychic or the store. I am never going near a psychic or whatever, ever ever ever again!

  • While in my early university days, I had a summer job at a department store, and an older work colleague wanted to take me for a tea leaf reading. I really didn’t want to go and said as much, but she was so insistent and wanting to be respectful of her assumed attempt at a kind act I reluctantly agreed. I was very reticent and volunteered very little info. Needless to didn’t get much out of the reading and didn’t want to get much. She saw a few letters innthe tea leaves that I could have connected to friends bit I don’t remember much else. I refuse to put any stock in the experience and to this day I wish I had been more spiritually strong to insist on my refusal as I would assuredly do today. 😢

  • The reason you got some information that was accurate and your friend didn’t IMHO, and this comes from other psychic experiences by “Christians”….AND the fact that you mentioned your friend was on a bad path……is that the “spirits” knew you were a Christian and were attempting to lead you down the wrong road of spiritism and away from the Christian path they knew you were headed for. Your friend didn’t get any useful information because she was already on a bad path. I know a few devout Christians who fought spiritual battles with occult entities who tried to sway them into false religions and sinful practices.

  • A girl I know started seeing a psychic. I warned her, begged her.. she kept going because “the woman knew so much” and finally, I said “I’m going to pray to keep those ‘spirits’ (aka demons) away from you” After her next visit she asked “did you pray for me? she couldn’t get a reading on me! She knew NOTHING!” I put my hands up and said “I love Him so much!!” We were both laughing! She was, like, “whoa”

  • Tarot and other things similar, actually release spirits and spells or curses on you… rather than revealing Information, it is creating an assignment against you. This is not known to those who practice these services. God does give us the hardware to have these abilities…. But it is up to us to tune the radio or software into the correct source. The demonic realm and spirit realm is real but is not the good source we need. Only HolySpirit can tell us.

  • Thanks for sharing your experience. I remember being super curious about this when I was in high school because I passed a psychic place in the mall every week after church but I could never bring myself to actually go in to check it out. Deuteronomy 13:1 was a great verse to cite! After telling people not to be involved in pagan worship (12:29–31) the very first thing Moses said about how to avoid idolatry was basically “Don’t listen to false prophets” (13:1–5) because miracles all by themselves aren’t a test for truth. Today, when I talk to people about this, I help them make a distinction between any kind of supernaturalism and the truth claims associated with such phenomena. Again, excellent article. Keep speaking into this space, Melissa! 😃

  • Thanks for sharing this! I think that’s how my friend thinks about this so this helped me understand their view better. I haven’t watched all of your articles yet, but have you talked about angel numbers yet? I heard of this recently and I’m certain it’s another way to deceive young people. Thanks for your work and great articles, God bless you! ❤️

  • I fell for The Course In Miracles. God is so merciful because He led me out of that quagmire and used that experience to show me the stark difference between what is truth and what is not. It’s like touching fire…I will never go near it again. I cover my ears literally if I hear anything occult on tv, movies etc. I prayed for forgiveness and went through my memory to close any doors that I had opened by my ignorance and thirst for knowledge. I cry in gratefulness for His mercy and gentle care for me. Thank you for your teachings. I really appreciate you!

  • Loved hearing this story and being reminded about the spiritual realm. I had wreslted a lot and questioned why does the “Word of Faith” movement “see results”? I questioned time and time again why it seems like “their” prayers are more powerful and “things happen”. But as I would question, pray, and abide in the Word I’ve was reminded in Ezekiel how God knowingly deceived the false prophets in those days (Ezekiel 14: “9 “‘And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet. I will lift my fist against such prophets and cut them off from the community of Israel. 10 False prophets and those who seek their guidance will all be punished for their sins. 11 In this way, the people of Israel will learn not to stray from me, polluting themselves with sin. They will be my people, and I will be their God. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’”). I also am reminded of the strong precense of witchcraft and diviniation in these people who operate in the word of faith movement simply because it is not the true gospel. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Remember the witch of endor that Saul went to consult with about Samuel… she called up Samuel’s spirit and he even prophesied….so they can get it right but we are forbidden to consult them and commanded to stay away from any necromancer. Thank you for your articles…I’m sure it will help many Christians that think its alright to have their future read. God is omniscient ….let’s leave our future in His capable hands 👍🙏

  • I did readings for a long time. I read palms and tarot cards. It’s all mentalism. I don’t have any powers, people have their whole lives plastered in the faces and movements. How they speak, and move tells me everything I need to know to do an accurate “reading”. I’m not even religious, just very good at reading and manipulating people. Most psychics are the same. Have a lovely day!

  • @Melissa Dougherty Yeah, Melissa. I understand what you went through in a way. Before I became a born again Christian, I always wanted to go to a psychic. I did have a friend of the family read my tarot cards once. That was an experience. I wish I had never done that. Hey, in a totally different issue…I’m so confused. I’m brand new to reading my bible and am so eager to learn. I’m disabled and am home all day every day and I spend ALL my time listening to bible being read to me and reading my bible and perusal preachers etc. online and wonderful people like you. I pray almost constantly for God’s guidance and wisdom and help with my walk in my journey with Christ. Is the book of Enoch to be read and studied since it’s not in the bible? Please help me. I thought I had a half way good grasp of scripture (some of it) but now I’m so disheartened because I now know that I don’t know as much as I thought I might. Long story short, so many out there on the tubes are talking about how they trust the book of Enoch and how it has been kept from us etc. I was up all night tossing and turning and praying for discernment and wisdom and guidance. Please, can you help me? I really trust you and I need help. Thank you sister Melissa. Much love. I subscribe to you and watch your articles all the time. I LOVE them. I saw you on Pastor Mike Winger’s website a couple of months ago and just loved you. I’m also new to his website. Couple of months as well. Love him and trust him too. Thank you for all you do!

  • Thank you for this article! I’m not perfect and I believe I know quiet a bit from God’s word and still need to know A TONE MORE. I have moments I do not like I might add, that I find myself not reading God’s word. I pray and ask God to give me the strength to get back into His word. But your article is a perfect example about the lies out there that sound so convincing can lead you away from truth.

  • I was shopping in New Orleans on vacation some years ago when this woman called out to me, saying things about my life that nobody could know. Out of curiosity, I went over and talked with her. She was pretty much spot on. I repented for it, but I realized that many psychics do have power much like the witch of Endor. However, God calls us to solely depend on Him.

  • Reminds me of the story where the psychic in…Acts? Was talking about the disciples being followers of the Most High and even though she was speaking truth the disciples cast out the evil spirit that was in her. (Can you do a article on that story to shed some light on it? I have difficulty with it because she is speaking truth but still needed to be set free from an evil spirit? Please help. Thank you!)

  • “I understand the temptation to look beyond the physical for answers, it was my weakness, my acheilies heel” – hate to have to point this out Melissa, but God is way beyond the physical. Yes he was fully physical, Jesus in the flesh, but he’s also fully spiritual and cannot be understood just in black and white words in a book or just in the physical realm. Faith is not just arguments or logic. We have to be honest enough to admit that it is a supernatural act of God to be able to have faith in him and have a relationship with a fully human and fully God spiritual person. The black and white words in the book explain and describe how God acts and intervenes in people’s lives that are way beyond the physical… Blinding Paul then opening his eyes, both physically and spiritually. Coming to people in dreams and visions. These are way beyond just the physical and we are being hypocritical to point out that mediums might be getting their info from the spiritual realm (Satan’s) and yet not believe that God also works in the spiritual realm. It might make for some uncomfortableness, but it’s dishonest to not admit God works in the spiritual as well as the physical realm.

  • Really helpful article. I grew up in a Christian home and later in life got deep into the New Age movement. Have since repented but it’s taking some time to learn discernment between mysticism and Biblical gifts… it’s especially difficult when the Church is practicing both😕 what are your thoughts on ASMR?

  • I remember going to psychics at one point in my life and it was not accurate and just generalized, I am just reading my bible now I trust no one but my lord and savior and I hand over and trust my life to God. I notice when I was at my worst I felt the need to go to these people and I was just easy prey with my money and time. I realized that I need to turn to God before anyone else.

  • There are no words to describe how much I love this article! The demonic is just as aware of our lives, our struggles, our sins, our victories, and he is willing to use anything and everything to lead us, knowingly or unknowingly, from God. BUT if we take courage, face the ugliness of our sin, and turn from that ugliness to the beauty of His grace, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. 🥰

  • There are spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible and one of them as the gift of prophesy, However, you are not to website other spirits only do as Christ said which is Go Within and trust that wisdom. Also, these tarot cards are not to be taken seriously…this is a game…a card game based upon human psychology and the mathematical law of probability. For example if you have a deck of 52 cards, what is the chance of pulling the Ace of Diamonds? The answer is one out of 52. All a math game.

  • Whatever spirit or force was consulting that psychic, it was cleary malevolent: – On your reading, it only showed you what you already know, increasing your confusion and uncertainty about the story of your tragic loss. It’s aim was to simply dig up that tragedy and cause you more pain, not to help you. – On your friend’s reading, it gave her clearly wrong advice, aimed to lead her down a bad and wrong path.

  • Of all my sinning it was the contact with a psychic I regret most. Seriously, I would LOVE TO PERMIMATELY take away hearing her words play over and over again everry day. Im constantly replaying and analyzing the messages i allowed to be spoken over me. HUGE MISTAKE. Has caused me to doubt my salvation many times. Avoid it, just say NO!

  • Melissa you Hit the nail on the head when you said “”How does this help me””?? I’ll give you an example of myself when I was visiting a spiritualist church…A medium ask if she could come to me and I said “of course..She told me with 100% accuracy what I was doing 30 years ago!! She said “”You used to sit at tables and watch dancers”” I replied “correct” as a 30 year old I’d sit at a pub perusal exotic dancers..Also she said “”There’s a young female in family who saw you as a mentor now in spirit around late 30s…I left the church service then rung my oldest brother to hear my niece who I hadn’t seen in years had suicided..yes she was 38 years old..once again the question of “”How does this help me”” plagued my mind for without wisdom it is meaningless to me…I believe people who see psychics at times have more faith than some Christians..Ive had “”prophets” in church give me a vague feel good message that I knew was not from The Holy Spirit but their own minds..(Jeremiah chapter 23)…The Holy Spirit will guide us in truth and direction and has been counterfeited by spiritualists and in your case Tarot card readers…My story is a warning to everyone Don’t Go to Psychics the distress that follows will be too much to bear…

  • Before I realized that going to Psychic was sinful I went several times when I was on vacation. I was told by one from Salem MA that I’ve had stigmata and have been touched by God. That kinda through me back because I’ve had an experience where Christ came to me and placed his hand upon my head when I was having a terrible time in life but I don’t remember the Stigmata part ever happening.

  • Awesome message Malissa. Familiar spirits are called that because they are assigned to watch, listen and gather information on a person or family down the family tree / line. I’ve heard that a demon/familiar spirit can go around the world and gather information on a particular person from other demons in a matter of just a few seconds and return with the info. I expect why you didn’t learn about your cousin’s mysterious death is because only God knows the answer to the mystery. Love your website!

  • Thanks for putting the article together majority of it I’m in agreement. I would think that a psychic would tell you to continue to do the same path for your friend because I don’t want them to follow truth. Also psychics may be in similar situations with other people where they learn certain stuff over time like it’s a mystery about your cousin. But I do agree with the other stuff the little confusing when you said you look back at your friends when it is one friend but. Sometimes I say things wrong when I’m sharing stuff too not saying you did it purposely. Thank you for the article and talking. Thank you for your help may God bless you more and more . Thank you for being honest with us

  • I was raised in a family that practiced all kinds of witchcraft. I saw my ‘spirit guide’ (demon) when i was 3. Ill share something you may not know about. When psychics or mediums do readings, they send these spirits to probe you. (Feels like you’re being groped in the spirit) these spirit are usually connected to objects that the reader has (crystals, tarot cards, pendulums etc) you become tainted by these spirits and even take some home with you to cause chaos in your life or friends and familys life. Ive learnt since being a birn again Christian that being able to see in the spirit is not a bad thing. I have Gods Holy Spirit now to guide me and protect me, as it was ment to be in the first place. What the enemy does is distort and warp everything he touches. Dont seek answers from mediums and the like when you can ask God. I am thinking that i need to tell others in rhe occult about Jesus as I was very fortunate that Jesus came to me. No Christian realy came to me to explain the Gospel and people like me should not be forsaken.

  • Reminds me of 1 Sam 28. You’re right, sometimes God may “test” those walking toward willful sin, yet the “temptation” isn’t from above. Our call is always trust what God has to say about relying on the knowledge of soothsayers, necromancers, and so-called prophets. Nice work, Melissa! May God continue to promote discernment and discipleship of His word through you.

  • Kindly explain the accuracy in the prophecy from the medium who Saul approached in effort to contact the dead prophet Samuel. How come it was 100% accurate? Was the guy who gave king saul the prophecy Samuel by the way? If so, can you explain the medium’s power to bring back Samuel for Saul to consult? Also, kindly share on the astrologers that visited baby Jesus and also Judges 5:20 “the stars in their lines fought against Sisera’. Thank you.

  • Hey Melissa love your website. If you haven’t already, repent for going to the psychic (your actions show that you’ve done this but say it out loud), renounce all psychic ties, and ask the Lord to reveal to you if you need deliverance from anything that may have entered through that open door legal right. Thanks for sharing this article!

  • When my late wife, whom I will always love and looking forward to seeing her again. She went to a psychic who said she will meet a man wearing a uniform his name was close to mine. But, she said: “He’s not good for you. You don’t be need him.” Guess what I led her out of the New Age back to Christ. I was good for her, but the Demon controller inside the Psychic tried to stop our relationship before we even met… I still wear our ring…. God is real. We were blessed.

  • They know this stuff based on not only the spirit(s) they work with. But also any spirits that may be around the person going to them. Everyone has familiar spirits that follow them around weather it be through the family bloodline or whatever else. These spirits know lots of the details of your life. They can then tell the medium or tell the mediums spirits.
