Although, a dive into the alchemists of the Islamic Golden Age, such as Jabir ibn Hayyan, would be rather interesting. The importance of this period is truly under-appreciated, as it is here where the knowledge of the classical world is not only preserved, but expanded upon during the Dark Ages – and without which the Renaissance wouldn’t have been possible.
You have performed a master work here. Bravo. I’m 70 now & took up the study of the great work while a high schooler. I started the path having read Bergier & Pauwels “Morning of the Magicians”. In ’76 I read Joseph Goodavage’s “Magic: Science of the Future”, concerning Hieronymus machines & Radionics. These two paths led to a life of spiritual alchemy rather than chemical. I have some strong understanding and innerstanding of the Philosophers Gems rather than the Stone itself.
There is a bit in Lovecraft’s story, “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward”, when the investigator finds Ward’s underground laboratory chamber and accidentally reconstitutes a man from his “essential salts” who would go on to take care of the “problem” in the end. I don’t want to give spoilers. Anyway, I have often wondered who this person was, and it is hinted that he is an historical alchemist or sorcerer. My best guess is Fulcanelli, but I would love to hear others’ interpretations. Edit: Lovecraft was also interested in sacred geometry and architecture, and the section about Julien Champagne possibly being Fulcanelli kind of rings that bell.

As someone who also studies alchemy, it’s interesting the way that modern alchemy has evolved. Now most modern alchemy taught is “energy alchemy” as in the ability to change one energy to another with yourself as the catalyst. I would love to meet Flucanelli one day, as they seem like an intriguing people.
Nuclear energy was was officially theorized in the late 1800s. I’m sure it plenty of alchemists had their own theories before that without the technology or energy to make it happen. The thing about alchemy through most of history though was that it was extremely secretive, they definitely didn’t publish journals as we do in modern science. But at any rate, ideas about nuclear were definitely circulating well before the 1930s when the first tests to support these theories would arise.

There are records that indicate quite strongly that Germany tested what we would consider a small tactical Nuclear device in June of 1944. I have thoroughly enjoyed your articles on this topic, I’ve done quite a bit of research on this myself, and have found myself quite fascinated by it. For those of you going down this road, the stone must first be crystallized in your mind and spirit for it crystallize in form. Without the mind spirit connection you will never manifest it. Your heart and mind must be in sync. Without that crucial aspect, it will always result with incongruencies, deformity, and imbalance. You must fully integrate all aspects in mind, spirit, and form. 49:20 couldnt it be a possibility that he’s related to the Roman consular general Publius Cornelius Lentulus Spinther (100BC – 47BC)? Since “Little Vulcan” could refer to one of the sons of the Roman god Vulcan, and the only son which has a name fitting one of the initials of Fulcanelli’s signature is the one starting with “S”, Spinther. Fun fact, his death isnt confirmed, but rather just an end of any recorded mention of him in 47BC. Naturally he also had a son, which went by the same name and nickname “Spinther” (which again could naturally become “Fulcanelli” as a sort of childhood nickname, since he bore the same name as the son of Vulcan, his parents or friends might jokingly call him “lil vulcan”). This son actually sided with Brutus and Cassius in the civil war against Mark Anthony.. Another fun fact, his family Cornelia, was arguably the most prominent houses in ancient Rome, which produced 75 counsuls during their 700+ year reign. So where does that lead us? I’ve got no idea. Don’t get too spooked by “x years before the Manhattan project.” Just count how many years this happened AFTER Marie Curie won her physics and later chemistry Nobel prizes. This stuff was certainly not outside of the public lexicon. X-ray machines were being utilized in world war 1. People were definitely very well understood to die from exposure to radiological materials by the 30’s. So it was not really an exclusive unknown secret of alchemists by that point that a small amount of this stuff was powerful, highly energetic, deadly, and gnarly. Because I suffered sever spinal cord damage a decade ago, I live with a great deal of pain. The thought of not dying one day is exhausting to me. People argue over rather or not Hell is real. Regardless, it’s my understanding that if one is thrown into the lake of fire, it destroys their soul, ending the suffering of Hell. If this prevented the destruction of the soul but left them in the lake, eternal pain beyond our comprehension would be the result. I’ll pass on any self designed immortality. If it turns out to be the blessing of Yah, I’ll take it. Other than that, I don’t know that death is always necessarily worse than life.

Given that Solaire is also Hély (the Sun), you can see the possible play on words Vulcain-Hély – Fulcanelli.
🇬🇧 Gosh! I remember reading a book called Morning of the Magicians By Louis Pawels & Jaques Beregers ( ? Spelling) Anyway this book was published in the 1950s or 60s & i read it in 1979. I honestly couldnt put it down! I must have read it 50 times, my Copy was dropping to bits but luckily i found another copy in a 2nd hand book shop, in much better condition. Sadly i lent out that copy to a friend who promptly went to live in USA & took my book! I know not where my old dog eared book went, its so long ago but i didnt forget much. While i dont exactly have an eidetic memory, its pretty prestigious & oddly its getting better as i get older!!! It should be the other way round Lol! Ive also read much of Nicholas Flamel, who also had much mystery about him. He never wanted for money & lived comfortably but nothing ostentatious, yet he with his wife, drew up architectural plans & designs for hospitals, clinics, Schools for the common people yet took no payment! Obviously they didnt physically build these benevolent places but did secure the services of a few master builders ( Freemasons) Who mostly worked only for Mr Flamel. This whole article is really really worth saving & rewatching as much as you like! There really is so much mystery & intrigue about the persons that Mr Mythos talks about! Im not sure if Morning of the Magicians is still available, if not try E Bay or trawl all the 2nd hand book shops you can! Can you make a article about the golden age of pirates(1650 – 1730) and was alchemy involved that resulted in certain individuals public execution. Also before golden age of pirates began slavery was established in 1500’s. Dennis William Haucks book The Emerald Tablet is a wonderful scholarly book on the history, praxis and symbolism of Alchemy and Hermeticism. He also wrote The Sorcerer’s Stone being a practical guide for those who wish to begin the practice of Alchemy.

Researching the quote mentioned has led me to the discover that the first ever quote using those terms was from ancient aliens’ theorist David Hatcher Childress, itself based on a not-so-great french translation. What did the original quote say? It says this: “When the next day came, Camva actually brought forth an iron bolt through which all the individuals in the race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas became consumed into ashes. Indeed, for the destruction of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas, Camva brought forth, through that curse, a fierce iron bolt that looked like a gigantic messenger of death. The fact was duly reported to the king. In great distress of mind, the king (Ugrasena) caused that iron bolt to be reduced into fine powder.
