Can You Use Every Spell To Restart Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, players can start a game with a new character and keep the first one. To switch spells, press “T” on PC or “Right” on the D-Pad on Consoles. All trophy-relevant spells are unmissable and can be obtained after the story in free-roam. Assignments are still available after the story. There are 34 spells that can be learned and used in combat, exploration, puzzle solving, and transfiguration.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players can only have four active spells on their action bar. Most spells aren’t required to progress the main story, but some optional spells are needed to complete Merlin trials scattered along the countryside.

After completing the game, there is no “new game plus” option, meaning players will lose all learned spells, items, and other items. Some games allow players to restart the story but keep their character’s level, with enemies scaling up.

Resetting spells, mounts, and room of requirement is not possible in Hogwarts Legacy. The game isn’t “Make or break” with the skill system, so players can play and finish the game with every combination of skills or even without them.

To reset your choices, you must create another account and uninstall the game. Once reinstalled, you can link your Facebook account, but there is no way to reset your choices.

  • Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that not only has Avalanche had the foresight to know we would mod the game so we can kill teachers and peers, so they had almost EVERY voice actor record pained groans or gasps as the life are snuffed out of their NPC’s, but they even recorded secret lines for when we use different spells on them where they react to them; something we’d never known if we didn’t mod the game to be able to use spells on them in the first place? These people are geniuses! (“Just like Antarctica!”)

  • I like this game but they need to put some DLC so the game doesn’t die I like the ending I picked there’s a repository at the end and instead locking it away I chose to unlock its power and keep the power to myself Professor fig was not happy that I turned on him and made my character become a dark witch

  • The Killing Curse in this game seems much more humane than the other ways you can kill enemies in the game: – burning them to death with “Incendio” – using “Bombarda” – using “Ancient Magic” (summoning a lightning strike, which lets enemies explode into thousand pieces or smashing your enemies against the ground multiple times) If you have to kill an enemy at least make it a quick and painless death. All the other methods look like torture to me 😛

  • I think a morality system would work so well honestly. The soul is such a core component of Harry Potter lore that the idea of the soul decaying as you do more evil acts makes so much sense. Having new paths that open for you when you hit a certain level of morality. Spells that become available as well. (I.e. avada kedavra for one, maybe patronus charms etc on the other. In lore, Voldemore cant cast a patronus bc he doesnt have any happy memories)

  • Arthur notices Rock on his way to class and calls his attention. “Hello there. Perhaps you can help me.” Arthur said, happily. Rock looked over, not saying a word. After a few seconds, Rock took a breath for intent of speech. “Avada Kedavra!” A flash of green light flew across the room, killing Arthur immediately.

  • Adding a GTA rating-style element would be massive. They could give players who’ve racked up stars the opportunity to continue playthrough without the storyline no longer making sense by activating a time turner when they’ve managed to escape “cops” ie. teachers attacking them to go back in time and reverse what they did.

  • I love how you can use unforgivable curses in this game. I may have used Crucio a lot, and the killing curse comes in handy with trolls. Trolls are not really a threat in the late game when by themselves, but when they are part of the group the killing curse makes life a lot easier. Well easier for me, not the trolls.

  • Hopefully next one allows you to turn to being a dark wizard and start your own faction have people like Sebastian join you and try to take over the ministry and the wizarding world. Every decision actually has consequences, hopefully spells like reducto and the patronus charms will be available to learn as well

  • I love this game more than I thought I ever would but… Damn, I love the fighting mechanism, spells, hogwarts, the whole map and the story is… fine. It felt so rushed in the end, loose ends and so little information about the ancient magic and the Anne curse… It makes me sad to think about what the game could have been with this great base. I think a sequel with pretty much the same mechanics could be really great.

  • Being a bad wizard has never felt more satisfyingly liberating and gratifying to watch. Although, I feel like the npcs could use a bit more of a frightened reaction (e.g running away screaming for their life like in GTA) whenever an all-out magic brawl is being taken place. But in all seriousness tho, who in their right mind thought it’d be a good idea to teach young kids magic at all, period, and not expect them to abuse such power the more they know and explore new ideas on how to use them to their benefit. The whole teaching magic philosophy to revolutionize the Wizarding World is completely bonkers when even a simple Incendio spell, or Leviosa drop would be enough to kill someone. P.S. I wonder if you’d still get sent to Azkaban for using Avada Kedavra in self-defense against other students, and adults.

  • This is not possible you can’t use unforgivable curses in the school you can’t even use disapperation in any circumstances on school grounds only the headmaster can disapperate this has to be modded gameplay because in the base game this is not possible trust me Ive tried to it will just shoot sparks out of your wand like you tried to use a curse but didnt mean it to use an unforgivable curse you have to mean it you have to want to cause harm if you dont mean it it wont work quote Bellatrix lestrange all it does is turn your wand into a spark plug lol plus to even see Azkaban you have to choose the hufflepuff house because their house quest requires you to go with an auror to the prison to solve the murder of richard jackdaw in which anne is innocent sorry for the spoilers but this kind of misinformation is gonna ruin the game for the misinformed this is 100% modded gameplay
