Can You Use Two Spells For Concentration?

Concentration spells require a device with computing power equal to or greater than a tablet computer to maintain concentration on your behalf. However, there is no ability that allows you to cast two concentration spells at the same time and concentrate on both at the same time. The Dual-Focused feat in the Tal-Dorei Campaign Setting allows you to concentrate on two spells at once, but you must hold or wear the device to maintain this effect.

When concentrating on one spell and beginning to cast a second concentration spell, the first spell drops as soon as the second spell is cast. You can cast a second concentration spell and hold concentration, but must make a concentration check at the end of your turn for each spell being concentrated on.

Normal activity, such as moving and attacking, doesn’t interfere with concentration. Casting can break concentration, and only one concentration spell can be active at a time. Concentration on two spells requires concentration, and you cannot cast two concentration spells with separate targets. If you are casting a spell to refresh the duration, you can do so, but the spell must effect all of the same targets since it’s just refreshing the duration.

In Dungeons and Dragons (D and D), you can cast two different concentration spells at the same time, but you must make concentration saving throws at disadvantage. Concentration on one spell is btb, no change. The circlet allows the attuned wearer to cast a second concentration spell while already concentrating on a spell and maintain concentration on both for two turns.

What happens if you cast a concentration spell while concentrating?

The Opera browser sends multiple invalid requests to our servers for every page visited, causing temporary IP blockage. To fix this issue, we recommend stopping using this browser until it is corrected. The Brave browser and Ghostery add-on also send extra traffic to our servers for every page visited, essentially spying on browsing habits. Regular use of GameFAQs with these browsers can cause temporary or permanent IP blocks.

Some unofficial phone apps use GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser, triggering our anti-spambot measures. Continued use of these apps may cause IP block indefinitely.

Users can also use scripts or add-ons that scan GameFAQs for box and screen images, overloading our search engine, running a “scraper” or “downloader” program, using poorly configured browser add-ons, or overusing our search engine with large searches in a short amount of time. If you promise to stop, we will unblock your connection for now, but will re-block it if we detect additional bad behavior.

Is there a way to cast 2 concentration spells?

Casting a spell requiring concentration while already concentrating on an existing spell allows you to maintain concentration on both spells simultaneously. However, you must spend a standard action each subsequent round to maintain concentration or lose concentration for both spells. At the end of each turn, you must make a Constitution saving throw (DC equels 10 + the number of complete rounds you’ve been concentrating on two spells). Failure to do so results in losing concentration for both spells. You can drop concentration on one spell during your turn as a free action to avoid this saving throw.

How many spells can you have concentration on?

The ability to concentrate on two spells simultaneously is powerful but requires making concentration saving throws at a disadvantage. One spell must be either a cantrip or be cast with a slot no higher than half the caster’s PB rounded down. This ability is easy to track and should be considered a sign of specialized mastery. However, allowing this ability to be used with any two spells is considered too powerful, even with the listed drawbacks. It should only be allowed for a specific spell that the character has truly mastered, chosen as part of a feat or category of spells.

How are concentration spells broken?

The concentration of a spell may be disrupted by the application of damage, which necessitates a Constitution saving throw for each damage source. The DC of this saving throw is either half the damage taken or 10, whichever is higher. Such an occurrence may result from the deactivation or obstruction of JavaScript, the implementation of an extension that impedes its functionality, or the absence of browser compatibility with cookies.

Can you have multiple concentrations?

Double concentrating is not suitable for everyone, and only 20 of Brown students pursue this option. It is best for those with intellectual passions that span two distinct areas of study and if fulfilling the requirements for both concentrations leaves room for a wide range of courses in other fields. Most students find that studying in-depth in one area maximizes opportunities for academic rigor and choice. Completing two concentrations limits one’s ability to take full advantage of Brown’s curricular options, as many concentrations require culminating projects.

Students also mistakenly believe that double concentrating increases their chances of obtaining meaningful work or admission to graduate or professional programs. The best candidates for graduate study and professional opportunities excel in a concentration and select additional courses that complement and extend their course of study in ways that reflect their evolving academic interests.

What magic item allows double concentration?

The Circlet of Concentration is a magical item that allows a wearer to maintain two concentration spells simultaneously for two rounds, or twelve seconds outside of initiative. It was first worn by Ulara and later owned by Scanlan Shorthalt after her death. Tiberius Stormwind convinced Scanlan to trade the circlet for an Ioun Stone, and it is believed to be buried with Tiberius. The circlet is made of silver and allows the wearer to cast a second concentration spell while already concentrating on a spell, maintaining concentration for two rounds. After Ulara’s death, Tiberius Stormwind took the circlet from her body and wore it, but later gave it to Scanlan Shorthalt.
