Momoshiki, a calm and collected character, has shown sadistic tendencies during his attacks on Konohagakure. In Boruto, Naruto and Sasuke fight Momoshiki using his Six Paths power, while Naruto has mixed Kyuubi and Sage Mode chakras. Momoshiki is greedy due to his immense chakra pools from being both an Uzumaki and a Jinchurikki of the strongest tailed. The Krama seal is not just a mark for absorbing chakra; it’s a pathway of resurrection for members of the Otsutsuki Clan.
A descendant of Otsutsuki and the series’ villain Kaguya, Momoshiki seeks to plant a Divine Tree in the world by absorbing the energy possessed by ninjas, the chakra. After learning about the events surrounding Kaguya, the God Tree, and the Chakra Fruit, Momoshiki seeks to reclaim the disseminated chakra. He encounters several Kage and attempts to rescue Naruto after consuming half of Kurama’s chakra.
Naruto’s remaining chakra is stolen by Momoshiki, but he can replenish it as long as Kurama is within him. Momoshiki and Kinshiki take Naruto to another dimension and begin a ritual of extracting Kurama’s chakra from inside him. They reunite with Sasuke, Boruto, and the four other Kage to rescue Naruto.
Momoshiki uses his signature ninjutsu to unleash a massive Rasengan, obliterating Boro. When Momoshiki takes control, Boruto’s body gains access to Momoshiki’s Chakra reserves, which are now Naruto’s. He also has the ability to slow down or stop time using his Rinnegan abilities, which allows him to manipulate space-time. Naruto witnesses Genshiki summoning a giant golden sword of pure energy, which pierces the clouds themselves.

Did Momoshiki absorb Naruto’s chakra?
In the battle between Team 7 and Kawaki, Boro is struck by a Kara member, allowing Momoshiki to manifest through his Kāma. Momoshiki takes control of Boruto’s body and uses taijutsu to overwhelm him, revealing that his body is nearly out of chakra. After absorbing chakra from a nearby unconscious Naruto, Momoshiki unleashes a massive Rasengan, obliterating Boro.
After Kara’s head researcher, Amado, defected to Konohagakure and explained the organization’s plans, the mechanisms of Kāma, and his intention to betray and kill its leader, Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, and his vessel, Jigen, Boruto realizes his body has been taken over by Momoshiki. He confides in Sasuke, who assures him that he will do whatever it takes to prevent Momoshiki from taking control of him, even if it means killing him.
During the battle against Isshiki, Isshiki reveals that Boruto’s Kāma is nearly complete and plans to transform Kara’s Ten Tails into a God Tree. Boruto is rescued by Naruto and Sasuke, but soon falls unconscious. As the battle progresses, Isshiki summons Kawaki to implant him with a new Kāma before his imminent death, and Momoshiki manifests again.
Does Naruto ever get his chakra back?
In the Chūnin Exams, Naruto faces a disguised Orochimaru and his snake summon, who uses the Five Elements Seal to disrupt the flow of both the Nine-Tails and Naruto’s chakra. Despite the impairment, Naruto beats Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru during the preliminary rounds. Later, during training for the finals, Naruto encounters Jiraiya, the Fourth Hokage’s teacher, who reveals he possesses two types of chakra. Jiraiya pushes Naruto off a cliff to induce him to use the fox’s chakra.
In desperation, Naruto enters his subconscious and encounters the Nine-Tails, who expresses hostility and desire to devour him. Naruto demands the Nine-Tails give him its chakra as a form of “rent money” for living in his body. The Nine-Tails complie, giving Naruto enough chakra to summon Gamabunta. The Nine-Tails become convinced that they can influence Naruto even more to use its power.
Does Naruto still have 9 Tails chakra?
Naruto’s chakra shroud marks extend further along his arms and legs when he attempts to form the Tailed Beast Rasengan, causing his cloak to progress toward its complete form. Kurama’s golden chakra and approximate age of a millennia evoke the “Sky Fox”, kitsune who gain golden fur upon growing their ninth tail and reaching 1, 000 years of age. They become equivalent to kami and ascend to the heavens.
In the anime’s Power arc, Naruto temporarily assumes an incomplete version of the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode after breaking free from Kurama’s influence. During his brief time in the form, Naruto can form an incomplete Tailed Beast Rasengan, use chakra arms, and enter an imperfect version of the Tailed Beast Mode, although it lacked legs and possessed only six tails.
Minato’s bangs spike upward when he first entered this mode, and his chakra cloak gains horns similar to those of his son. His hairstyle reverts to its original state in the latter part of chapter 639. In the colourised versions of chapters 676 and 678 included in digital editions of Weekly Shōnen Jump, Naruto’s skin in this mode was depicted as yellow and his eyes had orange irides, much like his previous transformations.
Later illustrations coloured by Masashi Kishimoto depict Naruto with his original skin color and yellow irides. The colouration was corrected in subsequent chapters and the Naruto: Colour Edition release of volume 71.
Hagoromo attributes the presence of Kurama’s chakra alongside Indra’s and Asura’s to his emergence from Madara’s lower body as the Ten-Tail’s jinchūriki after Kaguya’s restoration. Other manga series, such as Lava Release Chakra Mode, Lightning Release Chakra Mode, and Tenseigan Chakra Mode, also feature Kurama’s chakra and other elements.
Does Naruto lose his chakra?
Naruto is no longer in possession of the Yang chakra, as he is no longer able to utilize the six paths.
Did Momoshiki take Naruto’s chakra?
In the series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Momoshiki is retold as a character who uses his final moments to discuss with Boruto, branding him with the Karma mark and warning him of future tribulations. He uses Boruto’s Karma to take over his body during a fight against a Kara member, Boro. Momoshiki absorbs the chakra from an unconscious Naruto and creates his own Rasengan technique, killing Boro.
Momoshiki possesses Boruto’s body to weaken Sasuke’s Rinnegan, but he is overpowered by Sasuke and Kawaki. Boruto regains his senses and breaks free of Momoshiki’s possession. He is given a medicine that nullifies his power and can continue living normally.
When Boruto faces Code from Kara, he tries to use Momoshiki’s powers to increase his strength, but this causes Momoshiki’s resurrection and tries to kill Naruto. Fearing his father’s death, Boruto asks Kawaki to kill him to take Momoshiki alongside him.
Momoshiki is also present in the video game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 as a boss character in the form of downloadable content and later added as playable character. Initial response to Momoshiki’s character was mixed, with some writers predicting longtime fans would enjoy the fight scenes and team-up between Boruto, Naruto, and Sasuke. Some reviewers found Momoshiki’s plans better executed due to their impact on Naruto and his allies, while others criticized his weak powers and lack of appeal.
Will Kurama be reborn?
Kurama, a nine-tailed beast, returned to his daughter, Himawari Uzumaki, in a surprising twist. In chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Himawari’s encounter with Jura and Hidari revealed her as the new host for Kurama. Kurama appeared in a miniature form, resembling his previous self but smaller. Fans were curious about how Kurama survived his sacrifice, as his chakra was depleted, seemingly erasing him from existence. The theme of the previous generation passing down everything to the new generation is intriguing.
Will Naruto regain Kurama?
Kurama, a sealed beast, exhibits profound respect for Naruto and a strong inclination to safeguard his family. Nevertheless, he has been sealed for over three decades, rendering it inadvisable for him to be transferred involuntarily into another individual.
Why didn t Momoshiki give Naruto karma?
Amado emphasized the importance of selecting the right vessel for a Kāma revival, as an inadequate vessel may cause the body to struggle with the chakra and potentially die within a few days. Compatibility with the Kāma is rare, with Kawaki being the only successful child. Placing a Kāma onto a clone is ineffective, as the mark will vanish and not transfer back to the original. Once applied, the Kāma spreads biological data into the vessel, initiating the final resurrection, which is not controlled by the caster.
This leaves the Ōtsutsuki vulnerable to permanent death, unless they can apply another Kāma. Amado also created a drug to weaken the Byakugan, which he believed could stall Momoshiki from reincarnating through Boruto. However, Amado warned that the drug may require constant intake, deteriorate eyesight, and even death, and warned Naruto not to allow Hinata or Himawari to take it.
How weak is Naruto now?
Naruto, an adult jinchuriki, is significantly weaker without Kurama due to the extinguishment of his Nine-Tailed Fox in Baryon mode. This results in a lower chakra and loss of all demon fox modes, leaving Sage mode as the best weapon in his Hokage arsenal. The Boruto manga highlights the severity of adult Naruto’s post-Kurama power drop, with Shikamaru worried about his boss taking on Code without backup.
Despite the early days of Kurama-free Naruto in Boruto, it is possible that he could re-attain his former glory in Boruto. By the time Boruto takes place, his Nine-Tailed Fox may be gone, but he has a wealth of other abilities to draw on from his teenage years and his current role as the Hokage. The new conflicts introduced in Boruto could motivate him to start training again.
Boruto remains the hero of his own story, so the series may not focus too much on Naruto as an adult reclaiming his former power levels. However, the father and son could be a powerhouse duo if a later fight calls for it. Naruto showcased the character’s willingness to put in effort to succeed, and Naruto as an adult could tap into this mentality again.
Is Momoshiki good or bad?
Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki, a high-ranking member of the Ōtsutsuki clan, is a major antagonist in the manga/anime series Boruto. He aims to gain power by consuming the Chakra fruit, created from the lives of beings in the planets he destroys. After his death, he implanted a Karma on Boruto Uzumaki for his resurrection and continues to possess him. He is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in the Japanese version and Xander Mobus in the English dub, who also voices Vassago Casals in Sword Art Online.
Will Naruto get new power?
Naruto is set to receive a power-up in Boruto, possibly through acquiring new abilities. He can train his existing skills, such as learning nature transformations, to increase his power. However, there is a ceiling that he cannot surpass. Another way to gain strength is by training in the dimension of Daikokuten, where time doesn’t flow, allowing him to train infinitely. If Naruto returns, he could become another Jinchuriki, gaining tremendous powers.
Another possibility is to reunite with Kurama, who recently died. Ada still possesses the powers of Omnipotence, which can change reality and bring Kurama back to life. If she masters this, Naruto can reunite with his best friend and return to his former power levels, gaining new transformations along the way. Fans will have to wait for Naruto’s return before he can display any new abilities.
In summary, fans are eagerly anticipating Naruto’s future power-ups and transformations.
The thing which makes this scene even better, is that all Boruto has seen of his father so far is the tired administrator that doesn’t even have the power to be at his daughter’s birthday, this is the first time Boruto really sees the true Naruto, the first time he understands why everyone reveres him as a hero and the moment he understands what it means to be Hokage.
You’ve done more than enough Lord Hokage please get to safety! Goes to show that he’s well-loved by the village he’s easily going to die for at any given time a threat like that arises. Can’t believe that the kid we first saw in the chapter one manga whose sole purpose was to paint on the faces of the hokages would get this far. Damn I feel old.
0:39 at first I didn’t get why they made a beast bomb, since nothing else happens after it’s created, but then I remembered the fight vs Orochimaru when they made one and ate it, it made him too heavy to move and fight back. Essentially, Kurama ate it to make them too heavy to be pushed back by the one being thrown at them. A very subtle, but genius move if you really think about it.
Man, I’m not really perusal Boruto right now, but I can’t help crying perusal this. We see Boruto remember his “Dad’s chakra”, realizing how Naruto protected and cared for him and Himawari as a father. But we, seeing Naruto’s growth, see more than that. We see the the depth and reason why he would so willingly absorb and personally contain an attack he could easily obliterate. And us looking at him with/through Boruto, and the onlookers, also reminded us just how far Naruto has come and matured. The music just complements the scene well.
Honestly what got me the most emotional was perusal the villagers yelling out for him in concern and that one woman telling that he’s done enough and to get to safety himself… like, I know Naruto is an adult and hokage but damn if I don’t remember when he was a kid and majority of the villagers didn’t give a damn about him
Okay but am I the only one who started crying when I saw Hinata start running to the arena? It shows how much she loves Naruto and wants to protect him. From a shy girl perusal Naruto train from behind trees to a strong wife that was willing to risk her own life just to save him. I love Hinata so much, the onion ninja is after me though 😢 Naruto will forever be my favorite Anime, I can’t wait to see Boruto grow up and cry about it later on 😉 (Man I feel old)
This scene was so sad, because in the whole anime we saw a tired and sad naruto in a way, like he wasnt the same as before. But here we saw the real Naruto, always smiling and willing to protect what he loves, and the fsct that the village that once rejected him now asks him to stop because he has done so much is what makes this scene the best in all of boruto. Even though boruto anime will never live up to naruto anime this was beautiful
This is the turning point for Boruto’d character and closer to how he currently is in the manga. He is still the similar kid he was but a lot less bratty, and more mature with aspects like being a Shinobi and what it means to be Hokage. He still states he doesn’t want to be Hokage but will help Sarada on her journey to be one.
Hearing them yell seventh hokage, hearing their emotions, that made this scene so much better. Im hoping that now they a reason to allow himawari to manifest her byakugan, and sarada to have the second spiral on her sharringan. I would hope that would be traumatic(as sad as it is)so we can see the dojustu sisters in action later.
Bro it’s mad satisfying to watch naruto protect all those people and showcase his power. I say that because to this day boruto just doesn’t know how strong his father actually is Naruto is really a hero who been through so much and he’s willing to put his life on the line for all those people. Naruto is a true hero of Konoha.
It’s funny how a priori this scene is relatively simple: a character with god-like powers uses them to do an impressive feat and protect his people. But this scene hits so much harder than that because we’ve seen this boy go start as an ostracized good-for-nothing, we saw him struggle again and again incredibly hard to become stronger, to strengten his resolve, all because he believed one day he would have this level of power. It makes it so much more emotional to see where he is now.
Goku: Gets More hair to become powerful Saitama: Loses hair to become powerful Deku: Eats hair to become powerful Naruto: Endures an entire childhood of hate and prejudice with a literal demon locked up inside of him, becomes friends with that demon and gains the respect of his villagers and in the end, sacrifices himself after all the torture because he can.
This is the moment of boruto where all 500+ episodes of naruto/shippuden coalesce for me. Since day 1 he wanted to be the hokage to protect everyone dear to him. To give his all for his village and family. Boruto doesn’t realize this but we as viewers see all his trouble and strife. We are once again reaffirmed of his ninja way, and when the camera pans to boruto’s perspective….i get so emotional. He’s the hokage he trained so hard to become, the stuff of legends. His facial expression to sasuke when he says “take care of the kids”, is serene. He smiles bc he knows he wont make it out but it’s okay because hes dying protecting everything he loves. I love this scene. And it makes me somewhat proud.
All story has it’s end. Happy or sad. But all of the episodes and the outcome of this naruto/boruto series may be, they will always remain in my mind and I’ll cherish this series for the rest of my life. The emotions that help me strive and overcome all the struggles in my life. Anime, manga, live action. They gave me a reason, confidence and trust to keep moving forward. So dont just say “it’s only anime” suckers it’s how you apply it in your life… It’s not only for entertainment, it’s educational also and therapy for those who feel isolated in a box
if naruto ever dies I want a lot of flashbacks to him as a kid saying “some day I’ll be hokage” and “to be hokage that is my dream” then at his funeral the ghosts of all the people he has encountered such as zabuza and pain gather round his grave to pay their respects that would be the perfect send off in my opinion with that old school naruto music
I was recommended this but still This proves the: U will never understand what u will loose until its gone.speach Many people try to do things that would drive the closest to u away and when it ends up happening and there’s no way to fix it its like a hole that cannot be filled. That is what boruto did almost lost his father in the process.
If naruto died here I honestly wouldn’t have minded it, it was a fitting ending for naruto to die while saving the village just like his father before him. It’s kinda like how we all wish might guy died after opening the 8th gate as it would mad more of an impact or even into another anime as how we all wish vegeta was the one to defeat Majin buu with his final explosion attack after breaking out of his Majin control and the dying straight after.
Such a powerful scene. One thing that gets me is that you can see the meaning in the different reactions on the faces of the onlookers. The ones who know what Naruto is about have a sad yet knowing look on their faces cause they know how he is and how he can go all out to protect everyone, they feel sad cause even though they love and respect him he is always having to bear most of the pain ALONE, cause they are unable to step in. The others eg kids and shinobi who did not see him do his thing in the war like Chojuro, have a look of awe on their faces cause you know they’ve never really seen him in his element. Briliant imo that the writers did this
Naruto has had some of the best story progression in any anime character ever. Nobody really liked or gave him much attention at first, thought of him as a monster. Then slowly over the course of 2 series he’s gotten stronger and wiser and has been the backbone for almost every major fight since. Then eventually achieving his goal and becoming arguably the best Hokage there ever was and having the whole village respect him and look up to him like he always wanted.
