Did The Mueller Report Rule Out A Conspiracy?

The investigation led by Robert S. Mueller III found no evidence that President Donald Trump or any of his aides coordinated with the Russian government’s 2016 election interference. Mueller spent 22 months examining whether Trump’s campaign conspired with Russia to sway the 2016 election. However, Trump claimed that Mueller did not provide evidence that his probe reached a conclusion.

The Justice Department stated that Mueller’s final report did not find evidence that Trump criminally colluded with Russia and reached no conclusion about whether Trump obstructed justice. Mueller spent almost 200 pages describing “numerous links between the Russian government and the campaign”. Attorney General William Barr said the special counsel did not take a clear position on whether the president obstructed justice.

The report lays out a long string of evidence that the president tried to influence the 2016 election.
