Do Heart-Wrenching Spells Require Int?

Soul Rending is a demon hunter class talent that requires level 35 and a Leech increase of 6. It gains an additional 6 leech while Metamorphosis is active. All staves/seals have a stat scaling for their spellpower, so if a staff scales off of faith, the spells cast from it are powered by faith. Briars will be powered off int if you have a low Intelligence (INT) level.

The Soul Rending Talent can cleaves players in a half-circle, inflicting 24268 Physical damage and increasing damage taken by subsequent Soulrending Scythes by 200. A spell that scales with Intelligence and Faith at 2.25 * spell buff has a 20 archetypal buff, 50 global buff, and a 10 buff of the spell’s damage type. Most buffs and support spells don’t scale at all, but those that do scale off of Intelligence or FTH (incantations).

Soulrend is a skill gem that casts a spell projectile that turns towards enemies in front of it, damaging and piercing through those it hits. It is a powerful setup for Assassin using the Poet’s Pen and The Squire to fire multiple Soulrends in every direction. Soulrend of the Spiral is a long-range projectile spell that fires a spiral of spell projectiles that turn towards enemies in front of them, damaging and piercing those they hit.

Intellect really needs to add spell damage, and Agility and Strength add attack power as a main stat, making the primary start very good for those classes.

Where to get essence drain poe?

Essence Drain is a skill that can be created from various recipes and can be obtained as a quest reward or vendor reward. It can be bought at listed NPC vendors after completing quests in Witch, Shadow, Ranger, and Duelist classes. Modifiers to spell damage affect the damage over time effect of Essence Drain, but do not affect other sources of damage over time. Additional effects from 1-20 quality include increased effect of curse and skill effect duration.

Does evasion work on spells?

Evading an attack prevents damage and other harmful effects, including status ailments and stun. Only melee and ranged attacks can be evaded, and spells are automatically hit. The chance to evade is based on the defender’s evasion rating compared to the attacker’s accuracy. The chance to evade is limited to 0 to 95. Two modifiers bypass evasion: Cannot Evade enemy Attacks (e. g., Unwavering Stance keystone or Ezomyte Peak Quality), and attacks using Hits cannot be evaded.

Can spells deal non lethal damage?

In the context of 5e, spells have the potential to inflict nonlethal damage if they inflict melee damage. A spellcaster may utilize alternative damage-inflicting spells to weaken an adversary before employing one of the listed spells to strike the target with the final blow, thereby rendering them unconscious.

What is 100% crit damage?

A CRIT Rate of 100 or more indicates that attacks will always critically hit, with aimed shots on an enemy’s weak point ensuring a CRIT Hit. In-game, CRIT Hits refer to random attacks dealing increased damage to an opponent. The probability of an attack being a CRIT Hit is controlled by the CRIT Rate attribute, and if it is, the CRIT DMG attribute determines the multiplier applied. Characters start with 5 Base CRIT Rate and 50 Base CRIT DMG.

Is Soulrend a good poe?

Soulrend is a character that can be built to perform a powerful 2-5 million pinnacle DPS, making it hard to kill and allowing DoTs to kill bosses at an acceptable pace. With the right gear, Soulrend can tackle end game non-uber bosses with a maximum DPS uptime of 2-3 million. It excels at clearing maps due to its tanky nature with some gear. Trickster is a ludicrous ascendancy in survivability, acquiring Ghost Shrouds, ES recovery, and suppression.

It also acquires almost max Block and Spellblock and 5 Energy Shield recovery every time it blocks. This character is incredibly balanced, with items easily contested and easy to craft in a SSF environment. It brings an enjoyable playstyle due to its safety, automation, and minimal focus required to play. The character is not too difficult to acquire or craft, making it a valuable asset in any SSF environment.

Can soul rend crit?

Can soul rend crit?

Soulrend is an active skill gem that casts a spell projectile that turns towards enemies in front of it, damaging and piercing them while leeching some of the damage as an energy shield. The projectile repeatedly applies a short but powerful chaos damage over time debuff to each enemy in an area around it. The damage is affected by modifiers to spell damage and critical strikes have no effect on the damage over time inflicted by the debuff.

The Soulrend projectile has two damage components: a hit-based projectile component and a DOT-based component caused by the projectile to enemies around it. When hits, the Soulrend projectile deals chaos damage and leeches 4 of this damage as an energy shield. The damage over time is affected by modifiers to spell damage, and critical strikes have no effect on the damage over time inflicted by the debuff.

By default, Soulrend fires 1 projectile, but modifiers to the number of projectiles will increase this number. For better clear, Soulrend can be linked with Greater Multiple Projectiles Support. The damage penalty only applies to the hit-based component, not the DOT component.

Is 100% crit rate possible?

The concept of a “soft crit cap” is not applicable in this context, as a guaranteed 100% critical hit rate would imply that a player would critically hit with certainty each time, rendering the concept of a “soft crit cap” superfluous.

What is the hardest hitting boss in PoE?

The Uber trio, Vaal Temple Trio, Guardian, and Shaper are considered the most challenging bosses for the author. Uber Izaro, a mechanic-based boss with 3 phases and easy death in the last phase, is not hard due to his insane dps and HP. Map bosses up to t15 are usually easy, but Dark Forest and Overgrown Ruin bosses are harder, especially the ST Coc dude. The Uber trio, Vaal Temple Trio, Guardian, and Shaper are considered the most difficult bosses for the author personally.

Is crit better than damage in Terraria?

For a target with non-zero defense, increasing damage is more effective than increasing critical strike chance, and its effectiveness increases linearly with defense increase. The edge damage increase’s effectiveness diminishes as the defense negates more damage than the original hit without bonuses. Critical strike increases are always more effective than damage increases, as they do nothing. However, a mix of both increases is always more effective than just one, as the average damage per second increases stack multiplicatively between damage and critical strike chance increases.

What is the max intelligence PoE?

What is the max intelligence PoE?

The range of intelligence affixes extends from +8 to 55, with the upper and lower limits corresponding to specific item levels. The highest intelligence suffix is “Genius,” which is required at item level 82. The crafting benches provide the necessary recipes to enhance the intelligence of non-intelligence-based armor, and these become available as the player progresses through the game. Jewels possess their own suffixes, which bestow intelligence, but are limited to four affixes: two prefixes and two suffixes.

  • I am also running a ed contagion spellslinger. I’m running it with trickster and I am currently stuck at A5 Sirus and not to mention Drox is unkillable without help. Though this is with my own sorta variation from the previous delirium league. I am running low life with 7k energy shield so that is nice. I have about 370 ES regen per second and 570 while stationary which works well with blight.

  • I like this build and it is fun to play. One thing though … on the SS gem it says “Supported Skills have Added Spell Damage equal to (50-100)% of Damage of Equipped Wand” .. so why do you not go for wands with higher damage? A high dps wand should give a very nice bonus to ED unless I have misunderstood something…

  • I started playing PoE on 3.06. The League Bane came out. So when I started, all I saw was “Hey isnt this Bane skill awesome?” and I thought “Yes, it is pretty awesome!” So my first ever character was a chaos caster, and after that almost every league starter was a chaos dot caster. I love the archetype! And I have given up on it now after trying poison srs two leagues ago. Got infuriating how easy it was to deal triple the damage and more.

  • I feel like I’ve said this a hundred times, but… the problem with soulrend is the original nerf (3.7) when they cut the radius (13-10). Due to the smaller radius (which means much smaller AOE) it will often miss enemies which just feels terrible. Everything they’ve done to buff it since (duration in 3.9, damage in 3.15, effectiveness in 3.17, damage+effectiveness in 3.19) hasn’t made it good. It needs the radius reverted!

  • Wow its literally across the board.. I used to always say the comment “Behind every good man, is a woman rolling her eyes” lol.. What I’ve learned with Travic, Aer0, Palsteron, now Subtractum. Is while these guys are GREAT builders, its the “Community” in this instance “Nictator”? lol These guys or gals in the community that give their time to so freely to the rest of us that bring such brilliant problem solving to the table. Loving your favorite content creator, is loving the team of folks that surround them on the website. !!

  • We really need a huge numerical shake up… I see how desperately everyone is trying to make shitty builds to be good But sink nearly a mirror into the build to compete with 50div EA Ele/champs (I dont mean your build) Im making my own builds too, im not as good as you are, but i miss inspirations, new mechanics and content of new meta builds. So its good to see that you always work on strange builds haha, kinda fun to watch and as said, its a good inspiration

  • The problem with chaos damage in general is chaos resist, they added alot of mods that increase monster chaos resist in maps but no way to counteract it and stil do damage. When a fucker got 80 chaosres in maps cuz altars/archnemesis/simulacrum/map/delve mods, there is nothing you can do with chaos damage at best you can lower like 30-40% chaos resist and stil do half damage. HALF DAMAGE? but wait its always paired with wither resistance so actually you lose like 60-70% dps in the BEST CASE SCENARIO. Elemental can just penetrate/lower 3-4 times more resistance and not have wither resistance on top.

  • Its was a good time to play ED contagion when it was delirium league- best league to date for me. i feel lately league mechanics just do not offer much in the way for clear speed builds Chaos dot builds just cant kill bosses as well as other builds out there ment for pure bossing Chaos dot a good starter build and can do fast mapping with minimal investment but do not find much in the way for HYPER scaling unlike bow builds

  • Sad… ED + Contagion is my most played build. My first was the old poison ED with Consuming Dark, pre 3.0. It was really fun. Today i dont know why Soulrend exist. The base dmg is not much higher than Essence Drain. Essence Drain have much more duration and the underrated regen keeps your life always full. The only reason to use Soulrend is to poison, but we have better spells to do that.

  • Cool tech! I was an ED/contagion enjoyer back in the day, so I’m sad to see it in such a bad state these days… Recently, I’ve been scratching that itch with ignite wave of conviction. WoC feels so smooth to gear since it has so many ways to shred enemy resists, and the clear is super satisfying between WoC+Ignite Prolif and Obliteration+Shaper of Flames (bonus points for celestial mtx). Every season I get to t16s with this build and it’s dirt cheap to put together (not gonna say a price or chat will come after me). I would love to see a Subtractem gigajuiced version of WoC someday 🙂

  • im currently playing impending doom because i rushed to find a league start. like 20 to 30d into the build farming harvest. don’t know if its truly considered chaos dot but its ok. most of my divs that went into the build were for damage but I’m also playing a very defensive build. its also probably the last league impending doom will exist.

  • I’m only 8:38 into the article, and forgive me if there’s something I’m missing, but why go through the whole gem swapping setup with Soulrend. Why not just use pinpoint support? The skill has multi proj, and goes down to 1 proj but 80% more damage (with the +1 maximum intensity mastery) when you start damaging a boss. Sure you need to use a skill like lightning warp to stay stationnary and keep the 4 intensity stacks but it seems like it’s worth it. I tried soulrend pinpoint in a delve 1 week event and it was pretty good.

  • I really think I would just continue to use a +5 staff. The damage without that is just not there. With it I think I could still hit 17-18mil combined dps which is bane/ED/Soulrend all together. Defenses aren’t the greatest but I have hit 100 with it. The annoying part is of course crafting a +5 staff which can get expensive, and my version used a double implicit skin of the loyal which went from 5div to 30+div. So now the build would want a 35div staff, 30div amulet and now a 30div chest…for that price you can make something that is much more fun and probably better for a lot of content unfortunately.

  • So I’m playing your old Bane ED Blight Setup from 3.20…using mostly your pob as base spent around 30-35div in it(till need to improve alot of itens for better survivabillity) i got like 3.2m dot dmg with ED Blight/VaalBlight bane 11stacks of wither, and boss on low life(punishment) Normal t16 Rare maps corrupt with scarabs run, i kill everything with bane only(essences fully juiced/corrupted i use ED or vaal blight) After getting the Cane of Unravelling for 5c and a 6link for 20c(first week) i could fly trough yellow maps without any problem at all Already killed all non uber bosses with it without much trouble if u know the mechanics… My char in Poe Ninja can be found as BlackPercher if anyone wanna look at it(my dmg theres showa extremelly low idk why) i guess i can get atleat more 1m dmg changing the gloves for a Soulrend Setup but didnt do it yet

  • Coming from the HCSSF POV. The two button chaos dmg style of ED/contagion was replaced with ggg’s reckless buff of impending doom. And I’m not talking vixen’s. Standard double cast out does ED/Con AND it charges plague bearer. Bane now leaves rare behinds because they have so much more life. Death’s oath is still good but only for clearing. Idk bout soulrend

  • I’m playing a self-cast forbidden rite poison pathfinder and I absolutely love it. I run the mahuxotl shield and convert all damage taken to fire and chaos, then run fourth vow so armour applies to chaos hits. FR does like 15 damage to me per cast. Currently doing ~25mil shaper dps and clearing ubers :D.

  • Chill out a bit with the chaos vids. I been league starting blight since ultimatum and the gear has always been pretty cheap and easy to get rolling. We don’t need any price increases here lol. For real though. I got that Soulrend mtx when it came out. I think it was Synthesis league that the skill & mtx made it’s debut. They nerfed it really hard either during or right after Synth league. It’s never really recovered imo.

  • my problem with you (and other streamers) is that now you openly say GGG nerfs (indirectly) something you like, but when the nerfing patch comes you are like “wooo amazing patchnotes, so much fun!”… Come on, you can be critical of GGG when it actually matters. Now nobody even remembers what was nerfed, or when, or why anymore. Now mentioning some old chain of nerfs doesnt matter to anyone. Nerfs are important, but GGG is known for making a whole ton of unrequired, if not unjust, nerfs that make no bloody sense.
