Spells Known is part of the Spellcasting or Pact Magic features, and any spells granted from other features do not count against this limit unless explicitly stated. Racial spells are not prepared or known in the same way as normal spells, and having a spell due to a racial ability does not give you the ability to cast it with spell slots. Racial spells can only be cast in the way outlined in their section of the race description.
A known spell is a spell your character has learned and has the required level to cast. Prepared spells are selected from your list of known spells at the beginning of each day and can be cast using spell. Racial spells are class-agnostic, so they cannot be used with spell slots. Your Spellcasting feature will say “you can use your slots to cast (CLASS)”.
Cantrips are spells burned into memory that do not require preparation and are used for racial spellcasting. Spell slots are how D and D track magical stamina and the energy needed to cast different power-level spells and turn it into a game mechanic. You can cast any spell you know with a spell slot of the appropriate level or higher, even if your normal class is a prep class like cleric, druid, or wizard. Once you gain a domain spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day.

Nevertheless, modifying the spell’s target to Redirect will negate the spell upon its attempted resolution, as Redirect has been removed from the stack.
Can you counterspell a racial spell?
Counterspelling a spell cast from a wand is possible, as it targets any spell that is specifically a spell.
