One thing you didn’t discuss and that’s the wild card of Belarus under Lukaschenko. The Belarusian dictator has orderd a buildup of troops all along its Ukraine border. If he orders his troops to invade, and they comply, this could be a total disaster and an utter catastrophe for Ukraine. I hope it doesn’t happen! 🙏🙏🙏
Putin’s a man that will double down as much as he needs to. To him there’s no other option whenever he makes a mistake. As we’ve seen with the two conflicts in Chechnya, as well as his refusal to negotiate, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he was willing to negotiate once. Now it doesn’t sound like an actual option.
Prayers for ALL the injured, and worse on both sides, WAR IS HELL No one really wins, when the most precious of all a countries assets, are their youth. So many deaths upsets me, As a man of faith, I pray President Putin chooses to put an end to his special military operations. He could begin to repair his tarnished reputation by being the strongest man, by being Brave enough to pull the plug, Either way SLAVA UKRAINE & bless the INNOCENCE
Why would I “like” something I didn’t watch yet? I don’t understand this mindset unless you assume that your viewers are trying to get your “team” to win/survive regardless of if you deserve to. This would make sense if most of your viewers are subscribers. But even then, they would most likely watch through the end. So there is no reason to sound so obnoxious by pushing those who owe you nothing to do something questionably-relevant for you… 🎤
Good article overview on the situation, but there are some major errors in it. For example: Russia did generate a huge amount of soldiers (probalby 6 figures) through huge signing bonuses for volunteers. But the people that were willing to die for money know mostly did or will soon do so. So the volunteers do dry out though, but not like it didnt work at all.
Before Russia started the invasion I remember having to calm a lot of people down. I live in a military town and so many people were like oh my goodness Russia is going to go HAM. I fought Russia quite often when I was in Syria. Those guy are so poorly trained, their equipment fails all the time. Their leadership are a bunch of scared little kittens! When I was still in the army, at least our sergeants were with us. Officers fighting side by side with us. Over there they all stay quite a ways back if not totally out of the country. At least that’s how it was in Syria. I have friends that went to help Ukraine fight but I haven’t heard from them since the war. I’d like to get a call and talk about the similarities and differences between now and in Syria
“If I determine the enemy’s disposition of forces while I have no perceptible form, I can concentrate my forces while the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military deployment approaches the formless. If it is formless, then even the deepest spy cannot discern it, nor the wise make plans against it.” – Sun-Tzu.
57:02 It’s a “garde à vue dans le cadre d’une procédure d’instruction”. Even if Putin could figure out whether it was an arrest or something else, the very concept of arrest in France is so different from the concept of arrest in Russia that he still wouldn’t understand. The motivations, reasons, traditions, rules and political implications of an arrest in France are simply too alien for him to be able to draw any correct interpretation of it, even partial. The only thing that’s obvious and that he can understand is that a CEO would rather go to France than Russia if he had the choice.
At times it happens in every country…but in Russia more than most everywhere else, the Russian People 99 out of 100 times DESERVE better government than what they have. Yes Americans do too at times. British. French. Chinese. Japanese. Indian. What have you. But the Kremlin largely exists to keep the People down in favor of the few. In the USA the government often favors the rich over the poor to be sure, but at least they encourage and give the poor opportunities to become part of the rich and tend to favor having a large middle class. And part of why this is: you can be filthy stinking dirty rotten rich, but ultimately your legacy is less than mud if you bring ruin….which is ultimately in the end what most aristocrats bring.
“I believe it is an established maxim in morals that he who makes an assertion without knowing whether it is true or false, is guilty of falsehood; and the accidental truth of the assertion, does not justify or excuse him.” – Abraham Lincoln 1846 “If you hate something, don’t you do it too.” – Eddie Vedder “Not for You”
They attacked Moscow Russia an apartment complex at that. Ukraine did. What does Moscow have to do with that. Why would Ukraine attack an apartment complex? In Moscow. Are they trying to provoke Putin into war. I don’t know. I could be wrong someone fact check this. They have American mercenaries on Ukrainian soil. Why? Why are Americans fighting? I thought Zalinsky banned the Russian language and Christianity in Ukraine. I thought that’s why he attacked Ukraine. I could be wrong someone fact check this.
Most of those isolate regions and Siberian republics wouldn’t be able to become viable sovereign states. Therefore, it would be better for them to remain for a while as protectorates of NATO members: Kaliningrad to Poland Kola Peninsula to UK Novaya Zemlya to the Netherlands Krasnodar Krai to France Severnaya Zemlya to Spain Magadan to Italy Chukotka to US
If you’re concerned about which side knows what about the other side then this is the place to come. I’m glad the Ukraine President replaced that other guy with someone who can navigate without having an ego trip on a flag go into enemy territory first. Stop jeopardizing Ukraine!🇺🇦 It’s helping Putin and Russia out, not cool! 😡
I been on FlightRadar24 for years and today I noticed that planes seem to be diverting from Moscow, as expected, given the fires and attacks. Also, I saw two planes, both arriving to Moscow area around the same time, one from near Lake Baikal inside Russia, and the other from inside Mongolia, nearest LakeBaikal, both special flight planes that are normally used to evacuate Russian diplomats from areas in conflict. I know that the Chinese have had their eye on Lake Baikal as a source of drinking water but have not yet come to agreement with Russians over a deal. It seems to me that things are falling apart in Russia. Could the Chinese be planning to use this opportunity to invade, given Putin is so tied up with Ukraine?
I feel like the more I watch articles about geopolitical issues I feel and hopefully I’m wrong but a nuclear weapon will be used in my lifetime and I’m 39. When will we learn that war accomplishes nothing but more looses of human life. We need to come together as one species the human species because if will move past our own solar system and galaxy we need to unite as one race THE HUMAN RACE until that time we will always be divided and more conflicts will occur. Nuclear war only destroys where the bomb hit the civilians will suffer the most not the guy who pushed the button.
The thing about Russia that stumped me for a long time is that the people don’t care. About anything. It’s the “social contract” that has been weeding out dissent for over 100 years now. Russia people are completely demoralized and impotent. They will never revolt or come to their brothers’ aid. It’s just the oligarchs that decide these things and they only care about money. And Kursk ain’t where the money is at in Russia so …
This is war and Russia had no sympathy for Ukraine so why should Ukraine have any sympathy for Russia? If you believe Israel has the right to defend itself and its actions against hamas then you should feel the same way about Ukraine, being attacked by Russia, and should be OK with any of Ukraine’s actions just as you are with Israel’s actions.
29:23 it’s throttled, not block, there’s a difference. You can still watch articles, but with slight inconveniences depending on your ISP. For some articles only load in lower quality, for others it just loads slower, and for me it loads the ffirst 20 seconds and doesnt load further until a page refresh, after that it loads fine.
Respectfully, do not use the Russian bots as an excuse to ask for Likes, just ask for likes, like a normal person, wether you had simply said ‘’ If you like this article and want to support me, like and subscribe ‘’ instead of ‘’ Because there are russian bots disliking articles it would help if you liked the articles ‘’ seems profiting off the situation.
And everyone in that region was screaming slava Ukraine as the Ukrainians marched and not even kidding There’s a article That shows a good Size contingent of Ukrainian soldiers walking through the region And you could hear Slava Ukraine in different directions You couldn’t see the people my guesses they were hiding in different houses But you could hear them screaming out to the Ukrainian soldiers welcoming them Like that there will be a confidence boost for the Ukrainian soldiers, if I was a Ukraine soldier I would feel the confidence boost
You can’t even get basic facts about it right dude. For one Russian authorities didn’t evacuate they said they would but all the citizens had to flee themselves on their own dime! Why are you even covering stuff that you clearly don’t even look into all the way before posting some dumb stuff. If you can’t get the basic details right you clearly put 0 effort in and put these articles out just for money because the average person won’t look into it.
Ukraine should do with Russia and it’s defencive lines just like Germany did with the Maginot line !!! Especially considering that Russia sees it as not an act of War by Belarus, when Belarus is allowed to be a staging ground for an invasion into Ukraine. Ukraine should be allowed to pass through the Baltics and Finland, and Russia will see that as a totally not an act of war by the Baltics and Finland. In the Past Belgium was very pisst when Germany used their ardennes as a staging ground to invade France…luckily times have changed.
I’ve read that Russia’s railways are at the breaking point. Damaged railway lines, lack of cars. It’s being pushed to the brink. This invasion into Kursk seems to be a great way to disrupt Russia’s supply lines to the south. Perhaps this is what this special operation was all about. Ukraine is paying particularly attention to Russia’s infrastructure (gas, oil, power plants). They appear to be trying to choke Russia, demoralize it. Ordinary Russian citizens have always brought change to Russia’s governments. Ukraine seems to be getting closer to its goal of bringing an end to this conflict through the people of Russia. Just look at how many Russian troops surrendered rather than fight. That should be a worry to the Kremlin. Putin is on the defensive on many fronts now (political, economic and militarily). I always think that when the country has lost the support of its women, then change will come about. For it was female garment workers that started the February revolution. If you lose the women (mothers especially) it’s over in my opinion.
You did not mention that the 2 defence lines in Russia crossed by the Ukraine military were insubstantial, the organisations responsible for them being sued for corruption and fraud by the local authorities prior to the arrival of Ukrainian forces. The poor Russian defences were a significant reason.for Ukrainian forces to do easily penetrate the defence lines, fortunately for them.
One might suggest the siege mentality that is deeply ingrained in Russian culture is self-fulfilling. If you treat everyone as an enemy, enemies is what they will become. Speaking of which, it’s appalling that Ukraine’s ‘allies’ are doing so little to help while protecting Russia from Ukraine’s defensive efforts.
Someone told me that Russia is slowly inviting Ukraine as Ukraine has allegedly sent all their best soldiers, giving russia the opportunity to flood the areas where russia was already attacking within ukraine. They said that ukraine’s distribution of their forces would work against them. DOes anyone know if this is true or likely?
Love your articles, keep doing the great work. i know its low priority but could you please call Czechia correct way as the CH is sound more like K so its more like Czekia . its sound so bad when you buchering name of my country. i dont want people getting confuse with other countries like Chechnya which helping Russia in the war.
I am in South Florida Asia had such an issue with my son’s health and he had a lot of ABSENCES and not all of them had a Dr. note. He had such a hard time in the morning due to meds he was on and had a lot of tardies. They threatened to call the state and to take my driver’s license. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!! HOW WAS HE GOING TO GET TO SCHOOL THEN? WERE THEY GOING TO COME PICK HIM UP AND BRING HIM HOME, TAKE ME TO MY JOB? I told them all of that and that I would be contacting my district school board representative AND THE MEDIA about their intimidation!! They QUIT threatening me with that!! He finished the the year and then pulled him out!! Dave is a GREAT candidate for homeschooling. I would consider pulling him out as soon as you feel it is best!! I understand your frustration!!!! He would DEFINITELY BENEFIT FROM HOMESCHOOLING!! You guys are a GREAT FAMILY—- Hang in there, God always opens a door and you will have peace!!
This is one of my favorite articles! I think this one should go viral like the fitted sheet one. Good to know that I am right for buying the cheap stuff. I only buy the leaner stuff if it is cheaper (sometimes it is here) or if I am grilling. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the school saga…keep us posted. The school truancy rules were basically made for the kids who skip unfortunately they are pigeon holing David in that group when he is legitimately sick. Since you have the opportunity to and have homeschooled in the past maybe you should just do it.
I was just going to say about college, pay as you go. My daughter took 14 years to finish college with a goal of graduating debt free. She worked a full time job, did some dog sitting and house sitting on the side, worked hard to get scholarships, attended every tutoring session she could. Her college had tutoring sessions for every class, before and after each class. One of the tutors told her that she was the only student who attended all of them.
Agreed to be lied to! I got the LIES because I was a single Mom raising gifted kids that were only being self taught because they wanted my children to teach their peers and then it was my fault they did not have friends. The system lost it along time ago! But the lies are beyond my patience. This person taking attendance was a bully. And inform the Principal.
The public school system is about the money. My son is 23 now but I’ll never forget the letter I got that said, from now on if your child is out sick please bring them in for the first period and then come and check them out so that the school can get paid for them that day😲 what about all the poor kids that were exposed to his illness in the first period?
My son once got suspended… suspended because another kid kicked a hole in the wall… he was not with this other kid or even friends with him. EVERY single person on the school board in a higher level of position had a faxed letter on their desk and THEN I went in and sorted it out… I heard them talking when I was leaving saying who issssssssssss sheeeeeeee??? They thought I was some big shot because I dressed up but knew the way to get stuff done was to go wayyyy over their heads. My kids are adults now and stand up for themselves appropriately… but it was worth it. Do what you have got to do. It is our job not to just make sure our kids are healthy and adjusted… it is the job of a parent to make sure they are offered reasonably equal opportunities. (Not that I ever paid for a trip overseas… I did say reasonably equal after all.)
Another thing to try is to put your ground beef in a pan and put a lid on it while it cooks, on a lower temperature. After a little bit, you will see a lot of moisture in your pan. I worked in a meat department, as a meat wrapper for about 3 years, and the meat that ground beef is made from comes in large frozen chunks with some ice that are cut into smaller pieces and fed through a grinder to make ground beef. There is some water in there that evaporates, or can be seen by cooking it on a lower temperature with a lid. Part of what you are getting is water.
If Parents knew what went on at the colleges their Kids would be going to Public college. I know as i worked for a Private college for several Years. Way too Much Partying Drugs and Alcohol. Kids have died at college and Never realized their dreams . Just a shame. You keep on them and other women and Men should support you.
Wow yaw aint kidding bout Colorado prices being high. 93/7 in NC is like $4.79. Hard to believe no grease. I get grease when i use the not lean beef. Amen Mike…I had the worst problems in a city i lived in with the school system to the point i moved to a dif. City and it was 100% better. My problem was the 0 tolerance policy. How is it that my son who was small anyway get attacked by 3 guys on the way to get on the bus which hit his head on a radiator and knocked him out for a minute then put him on a bus ride for bout an hour ride. I ended up going to ER and had an mri done by dr. Orders. I go the next morning to the school with my son and medical papers. How bout the principal expels my son for 3 days because of “0 tolerence policy”. That was the last straw. We left that school my daughter too. Like you said Mike Michael did nothing to the other kids but he got punished. I went down to the school’s county administration and complained but it did no good. It was just wrong. At their new school it was mostly great..tho one time a male kid went behind my daughter and smacked her butt and Christina turned around slapoed him across the face. When they found out why she slapped him she didnt even get in trouble at this new school.
I so agree with you on this! I so understand why people homeschool! I have a son in public school and you really have to keep on top of things. And some of the things teachers say and do just blow my mind! Also, the flu going around right now can last 10 days or more. My pharmacist told me that they have seen several people with fevers for over a week or more. He said it is a virus that has to run its course and people need to stay home and rest.
Our schools/county/ whatever will take you to court over absences… Even if my kids have the sniffles we take them to the doctor just for twh excuse. We have the chip program so the copays are anywhere between 5-15 based off of income. Didn’t even think about the people who pay out of pocket! Wow that is ridiculous!
Interesting. I was a director for a Montessori school (2-6year olds) and had to request a doctors note for children to be able to come back to school if they had the flu or other contagious illness. We had to do this because parents would worry about missing work and would bring their sick children to school. It was sad for the child who did not feel well and would act out or want to be held (causing my staff to come down with the illness) and we had to try to isolate the child away from the other children. Many times, the Tylenol would wear off and reveal that the child was feverish, so I would have the child stay with me in the office and try to get a hold of the parent for hours on end. Hence, we had to write up a big list in our handbook about our policies and illnesses. (parents needed to call in if child will miss school, we did not need a note from the doctor.)
My husband went to a work site like ten years ago in Virginia-I about died when he told me a guy on the job site put watermelon 🍉 in a Perdue Chicken bag. I think the wife was trying to kill him. My in laws have beef cattle, grass fed, but I don’t like it as well-it is too lean unless they do all hamburger (versus half a cow or whatever w roasts, etc.). Bought it for years
I watched the entire article and saw the results of your test. Really surprising as side by side comparison clearly showed the raw meat clearly differed in color – implying differing fat content. Is there as chance a longer cook time would have had different results allowing more fat to render? Hmm. I typically buy 80% . May have to try 73% again. Mine are all grown now but I remember those days. Our’s were well cared for, well behaved and respected students. When is it the schools job to question your integrity and determine what’s best for your child? We have been down that road and been lied to by our school district whom is basically no different than those colleges you speak of. They are in the business of making money. Anything and everything is secondary to that goal. Ok, rant over – sorry. Best of luck tomorrow. Now…git ’em!! 😶
Tawra & Dave, do y’all use margarine? What is your opinion of it? I know butter tastes better and is more versatile, but it’s $2.50-$3.00 a pound where I am. Margarine is so much cheaper, and would fit our budget so much better, but I worry that it might be “bad” to eat, even though it’s just oil… As you can see, I’m conflicted. I would love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks for this great article!
It isn’t just Colorado where you can’t buy beef for $1.99 any more. Beef used to be cheaper here. Over the past few years, there have been some things that have happened that caused the price of beef to go up. I remember just a couple years ago when the price of beef went up almost double and it seemed prohibitive.
Even tho’ it is against my environmental leanings, I use the fold over sandwich bags, with a gallon size zip bag, for a lot of things that I put in the freezer. I put english muffins, bagels and hamburger buns all in individual bags then freeze them. I portion out breakfast sausage, hamburger and the ingredients for my smoothies. Reusing the large zip bags all the time saves a lot of money because they are too expensive to toss out after one use. I use the vacuum sealer for raw chicken, beef and fish – those bags get thrown away but they keep the food freezer burn free for many months so they are worth it. There are so many of those small daily habits that save money.
As a teacher I’m not fond of full-class punishments. The point of it is supposed to be that peer-pressure would stop the kids from doing anything bad, because the whole class knows they’ll be punished. Instead, when the whole class is punished for something a few do, the kids will later beat up the ones who caused the punishment. So it’s really something as a teacher you want to avoid.
Tawra, I feel your pain when it comes to dealing with the schools when your child is out sick. I had a similar situation last year with my teen’s school. Our state has a law that you can only have ten unexcused absences, including ones that are approved by a parent or guardian. Absences can be excused by doctor’s note or by an administrator. It forces you to take a child to the doctor for things(flu) that only need rest, fluids, and comfort, not a doctor. This is why viral infections run rampant through schools. Some parents send their sick kids to school when they should be home, because they can’t afford the doctor’s visit for something that cannot be treated by the doctor. It is an unfair system and burden for parents. I am a single mom, who gets hit twice in the pocket, because I don’t get paid if I am not working and then have to pay an unnecessary doctor’s bill.
My oldest (21 now) did Computer work in high school in school and on the side even taught himself programming languages. With his skills he learned on the side and a little from school he got a web developer job at 19 with no college degree because he can prove his skills and ability that he learned on the side besides school.
Good for you !! You stand your ground, and get some of those women to grow a backbone and stand with you. if not then you do what you have to do and go OVER their Heads. they don’t like that. That’s kind of like bullying !!. Boy I am fuming I need to smell some of that soap. that’s NOT NRIGHT !!! That’s like going Backwards. Keep your kids home and school them. PHEW !!
Here’s what I don’t understand about your school situation…don’t you already send your kids to an out of district school? There are strict rules in place for out of district students and one of them typically is mandatory attendance. Truancy is a state wide law…10 UNexcused absences is considered truancy and yes, the cops can be called on you and yes, you can go to jail. I’m in Colorado too and I send my kids to a charter school with an attendance contract, but that’s me. Here’s the law: cde.state.co.us/dropoutprevention/crs2233part1 Good luck with your conversation. Hope it works out for the best. *adding…Strep Throat doesn’t always cause a sore throat. All my kids had strep throat with no sore throat. It caused stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea, and a cough. No sore throat and surprisingly, no fever.
Here in Chile, they tell it in reverse,, and there are only thre types, p10 percent, 7 and 4 Fat. I just buy the one with less fat, no matter which is a better deal. they have no fillers, just ground beef. However, there is one that they sell, and it has half ground meat and half soybean vegetable meat. The fat gives me a terrible feeling and cannot eat it. When I eat it outside my house, since I don’t kbpnow which they used, I don’t care. I am crazy. Ground meat is expensive here. Big hug❤️👍👏
