📹 Mystic Dispersion Still Worth It? – Refund & Dexterity Nerf – Marvel Contest Of Champions
Today has been the great refund of Mystic Dispersion in Marvel Contest of Champions along with a nerf to how it interacts with …
4/5 vs 5/5 mystic dispersion is really dependent on the champion you’re using and what you are using them for. For example Cade and Dreamin34 both have 5/65 Morningstar’s and they run 4/5. Since Morningstar gains power with her heavy attack based on the soul count, 5/5 mystic dispersion can push them past a special 2 for Medusa boss fights. But on the other hand Magik users rely on the special 3 nullify to take down Medusa bosses so you need as much power gain as you can get for that use case. If you do the special 2 spam Magik technique that we pretty much all do then you also want as much power gain as you can get to launch more special 2’s allowing you to put in a large amount of hits in a short amount of time. If you run Dr Voodoo you might be trying to spam l1’s for the poison and 5/5 can easily push you well past the special 2, limiting how quickly you can apply the poisons, so I can see them using 4/5 or even 3/5 mystic dispersion. Ghost Rider users need to get used to not using the special 1 and 2 to trigger Medusa’s auto block, as that no longer triggers mystic dispersion, only his fate seal and damnation effects will as well as letting them expire.
One class mastery down but another one to go. I’d like to see a full refund for pure skill. It’s been broken for over a year. They should refund us and then make whatever change(s) or not. At least we’d get the currency back. They should also lock that mastery for purchase. A lot of new people don’t know it’s broken and they’ll waste resources unnecessarily.
Not sure if I’m alone on this, but I think it would have been great to at least have one Mystic rank down ticket to be used specifically to rank down one Mystic AW defender that may now be less desirable for AW like Juggs, UC, Mordo, etc. Others have mentioned rank down tickets and not sure if they mean generic ones, but Mystic class rank downs may be more fair since don’t know of many who use these specific champs for offense. Those I’ve seen in AW may have been influenced, like me, by MD when ranking one of these up for AW defenders. If it wasn’t for how MD was in the past, I may have never ranked one of these up. Oh well…
