This sounds like nonsense to me. I’ve used Western Union every month for years now and their training makes it impossible for someone else to pick up money unless there is actual fraud going on. You are supposed to have a tracking number that only the sender and the person picking up will have, the tellers do not have that information until you go to pick up your money, which they will not give you unless you have valid picture identification and the number I previously brought up. I know where I’m currently living it is incredibly hard to scam money out of Western Union. You will also be on camera with timestamps of when the money was collected, this whole things sounds improbable.
